Founded by Jonathan Zambella, 19 year veteran canyoneering guide, outdoor educator and outfitting innovator, to bring a customer centric approach to helping people responsibly visit Zion National Park and the surrounding area with more emphasis on meaningful Zion visitation through experiential learning.

History

Established in 2015.

Jonathan Zambella founded the first outfitter and guide service in Springdale, Utah in 1996. His creation of Zion Guru is the culmination of outfitting tens of thousands of visitors, leading many thousands more on wilderness canyoneering, climbing, and multi-​sport adventures, now honing in on the most important part of helping Zion visitors — «with love, little else is needed.»

Zion Guru is a pathway for visitors to «be» in Zion rather than just «do» Zion. We focus on the «Why» and «How», not just the «What.» We know how to make recreation and experience of re-​creation.

Business Owner

Jonathan is a profound outdoor leader, innovator and visionary. His life vision is «to help those who help many.» His schedule is often booked months to a year in advance to lead custom, private, and/​or VIP events for canyoneering, climbing, adventure travel, team and leadership programming, and holisitc retreats.
