I have seen my local dentist a few times for cerec crowns. After my dentist did a crown on one of my molars, I believed my bite was off.
I returned to him with tooth ache which was not getting any better despite him grinding down the cerec crown. I repeated this procedure several times but my tooth ache continued and he decided to finally take off the newly made cerec crown. He told me to give it a few days to see if the pain would decrease. It did not. I was so frustrated as he gave me no other treatment suggestions or plans of what to do next.
My husband referred me to Dr Sam Muslin. His friendly and professional staff accommodated me very quickly. Dr Muslin has had experience with such issues before, cleaned out my very badly decayed tooth, treated it and asked me to give it a few days. My toothache was worse for a few days but started healing soon after. Dr Muslin gave me a new crown and today everything is perfect. I wish Dr Muslin had treated all my teeth before. There is no doubt that Dr Muslin is an experienced and very knowledgeable dentist that can be highly recommended. Thank you Dr Muslin for saving my tooth!

Sure! The doctor is great, the procedure for correcting overbite, as presented, is outstanding. But the price… my jaw dropped permanently and fixed itself when I heard the 80K price tag.
Of course that was for a full mouth reconstruction.
I wish I had seen Unilocal reviews before I took my 460 mile round trip for consultation.

I visited Dr. Muslin’s office for a consultation for facelift dentistry and was very impressed by his bedside manner. He is extremely friendly, patient and thorough.
He explained how my teeth were not aligned in an optimal state and that was the reason for my nighttime grinding of my teeth. In addition to changing the cosmetic look of my teeth, the treatment would provide the added benefit of realigning my teeth so that I would have less pain, grinding and even facial changes that would come in handy down the line as I age.
I currently don’t have the funds to go through treatment but would jump at the chance to do so if I did. I highly recommend people who suffer from jaw pain/problems and grinding to see Dr. Muslin as he could very well be the solution to your problems.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Muslin’s now for well over 10 years. I can say without a doubt he is simply the best around! His staff is highly trained, knowledgeable, kind and welcoming, the office is comfortable, clean and centrally located in Santa Monica.
His work is simply the best in both cosmetic and general dentistry.
I’d also be remiss not to mention the DENTAL HYGIENISTS (all of them are wonderful)!
However my (French) hygienist INGRID, is so charming and such a joy. She always does a the most meticulous and thorough job on every cleaning. My teeth are never as smooth and SPARKLING! than after one of her cleanings. She’s absolutely wonderful!
Throughout the years, I’ve sent numerous referrals to Dr. Muslin, many of whom later moved out of state or country, yet still all return for semi-annual visits (he’s that good)!
I’m generally not a fan of most doctor visits (dental + medical) but I do love this office and wanted to share. I have seen some incredible transformations done by Dr. Muslin (including my own) and can say with fair certainty, once you meet Dr. Muslin, his team and see what they’ll be able to do for you (especially if you have cosmetic or difficult dental work ahead) you’ll soon be a patient as well.

Dr. Muslin is the best! He helped me get back to looking like myself after a super unfortunate dental mishap. I honestly had no idea how much teeth truly affect your face shape; I thought if I never smiled nobody would notice my messed up teeth… SO. WRONG! It affected my bone structure, lips, chin… everything. Now that I’ve been treated by Dr. Muslin, I can’t stop smiling (but look way better/healthier even when I’m not :). During my lifetime I have had a lot of dentistry, many crowns, a bridges, fillings along with root canals and even couple of missing teeth. I have experienced many different dentists and with a mouth full of dentistry with different colored teeth that have worn down. My face is getting round and my chin looks smaller.
We talked about how my face was changing and it was all due to my short teeth and deep overbite. The worn down teeth were causing my face to look older. He said that my bite was causing facial collapse.
He explained that I had choices in the type of dentistry available. If I only wanted cosmetic dentistry with no bite correction, could just replace my crowns and improve my smile. But if I wanted Face Lift Dentistry® I could correct the bite and look years younger. He also showed me how my face would look younger right in the dental chair.

I did Face Lift Dentistry® some times ago and the results were incredible. My face had a better shape, my shrinking chin looked larger and I looked years younger. But, most of all, you could see my upper teeth again and they were white, beautiful and my smile was wider. I love it.
After a few years I visited my brother, who is a dentist and he examined my mouth. In fact, he has examined my mouth several times over the last few years. He gave Dr. Muslin’s work five stars. He was impressed at the health of my gums and how beautifully they fit to the porcelain. He was impressed with the bite and how precisely everything fit together and he was especially impressed with my comfort. Well, that made me feel much better because you never know really how good the work is done.
It has been some years and I have had Dr. Muslin make a couple of adjustments to my bite as time went by but I can say that his Face Lift Dentistry® treatment helped me look younger and my jaw is also comfortable for the first time in a very long time. He explained to me that, «getting my jaw in the right position improves my health by reducing stress». I love how I look. I cannot thank him, enough which is why I have written this review.

Dr Muslin is fantastic! My sisters and I all go to him for our general dentistry and it’s been great. He’s so nice and caring and informative. He takes the time to talk to you and answer all questions and concerns. His staff are all so friendly and they seem to get to know their clients fairly well. Certain procedures can be pretty pricey when it comes to the extra stuff beyond teeth cleaning, but he’s a one of a kind doctor who offers unique services. Nice office, great location, and plenty of parking.

Sharing is Caring, when I have a good experience with someone or something that made a difference in my life, I would love to share it with others.
What I have come to like about this office is how clean it is every time I go there. Every room has a sliding glass door that makes this office so safe and quite that it is relaxing. The TV’s on the ceiling are something that I have never seen before and they are a real helpful addition even when getting my teeth clean. This is a man that cares about his patients and had done more than most dentists to make the experience of his office a good one.
Thank You Dr. Muslin, you are appreciated. have had a lot of dental work done in my life and all I can say is that he may be the most highly skilled dentist that I have ever had work on me. He is fast and painless and he uses a «sonic» needle that doesn’t hurt. It was hard to believe that he gave me a shot. He explained to me that putting a vibration on the needle tip helps it slide in easier with less force.

I have been a patient of Dr. Muslin off and on for over 20 years. He is a phenomenal dentist. Over the years I have referred many patients to him including my husband who had Face Lift Dentistry done almost 2 years ago.
Every experience I have had in that office has been far and beyond what other dentist have to offer. I have live all over the US and, as a consequence, I have had to go to many dentists. When I was 18 I decided to get veneers on my upper front teeth by Dr. Muslin. They are so well done a couple of dentist didn’t realize that my veneers where not my real teeth until about halfway through the exam… one even looked at X-rays. I have never had any problems with any of the dentistry done by Dr. Muslin. Never has any dentist looked at my old fillings or porcelain work and recommended it be done over or indicated that any of it was done improperly. I am now in my mid 30s.
What I also think speaks to Dr. Muslin’s character as a doctor and as a professional is that after my husband had his Face Lift Dentistry done, I was envious of his new teeth and how good he felt. I made an appointment to consult with Dr. Muslin about getting the work done myself. Dr. Muslin listened to what I was wanting and did a full work up to look at my jaw position, bite, and speech. He then told me not to do it. There was no medical need for me to have bite restoration done. I don’t have neck pain, headaches, chewing or biting issues, no speech or hearing problems, in spite of my 7 month old and 2 year old sons I have no sleep or teeth grinding problems, and my jaw joint wasn’t over closed. I really thought that showed real restraint on his part. He said I could get some cosmetic benefits from the procedure but that the cost benefit wasn’t there and that I should wait. If down the line I start having issues we can revisit doing the work. It wish every doctor would exercise that kind of integrity.

I am now in the process of working out my major dental issues with Dr Sam Muslin.
I will update my reviews positive or negative as soon as I get this hopefully resolved.
I think it is essential that us Unilocalers share there dental & medical experiences with each other. My intention for writing such a negative review previously about Sam Muslin was because I had a negative experience. I am going to be positive that he will address my problems & I will end up reviewing a great review in the end.

I had Face Lift Dentistry done by Dr. Muslin about four years ago. It wasn’t cheap but from past experiences with other dentists, it was worth every cent! No other dentist offers anything like it from my research. I recommended him to my friend and he also loves the results. I am nearly 70 and look much younger. This treatment has had such a positive effect on me. I look great, have no pain in my jaws, no sensitive teeth, my bite is perfect and I have a fantastic smile!
You will find that he is quite attentive and the office staff are friendly. The office is amazing too!
Over the years I have seen many dentists and this dentist is by far one of the most talented and highly skilled dentist that has ever worked on me and there have been many. I highly recommend the treatment.

Awesome outstanding experience with Dr. Muslin consistently for over ten years! Dr. Muslin, his outstanding professionals Susan, Cruz, Jennifer, all of them are the most professional providers of excellent, caring and state of the art dentistry. Dr. Muslin recently raced in to care for my daughter in a dental emergency on a holiday, though she had never been a patient. Dr. Muslin treats me like family and has improved both my health and appearance in ways I never thought possible! I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Ok so I went to Sam in 2006 as he is one of the best dentists around. At that time the cost of 14 teeth incl his amazing facelift technology was $ 22k. Unfortunately I had to go overseas for a few years and was unable to get the work done. Fast forward 8years. Same great practice and pretty much the same before and after pics. However now the cost to do 16 teeth and facelift is $ 80k. I understand inflation and the fact he won best dentist 2014 and everything else but the raise in cost is insane and everyone I spoke to about this had the same reaction. At first choked on themselves and then broke out in hysterical laughter followed by talking about how crazy the dr must be. I assured them that he is not crazy and that he is one of the best at what he does and will continue to stand by that. But that doesn’t change the fact that $ 80k is ludicrous. I understand this procedure is patented and can only be performed by him so has a monopoly on it. The thing is I did not risk my life and go through serious situations and deal with terrible pain just to come back and see how ppl are taking advantage of that freedom provided. From this experience, today I am ashamed to be American and feel as if my sacrifices were done so that others can make insane profits. He is a great dentist. But the cost is just sad

A referral in 1984 led me to Dr. Sam Muslin which became my introduction to pain free dentistry. Up until that moment at the age of 30 I had endured horrendous and painful procedures with all dentists stretching from Sydney to Beverly Hills, all resulting in absolute fear and avoidance of even essential dental maintenance. He fulfilled and surpassed his initial «pain free» motto by not inflicting even a flinch, which made me a believer and has kept me as a devout patient for the past 30 years; giving me a smile that garners compliments that I could never have imagined. Who could ever have thought going to the dentist could be a pleasurable experience; maybe not so much financially, he is expensive, but in return you’ll receive superior results and service — you get what you pay for and a whole lot more. I now only harbor one fear, I dread the day he announces his retirement… my hope is he outlives me! ^j^an

This dentist is literally the best! If you want to look amazing he is the only dentist to see. He did Face Lift Dentistry on me back in August and everything just went perfectly. I have been a patient of Dr. Muslin’s for 25+ years & he is still as passionate about dentistry as he was when I first walked into his office. His office is state of the art, he is as current as it gets… both in knowledge & technology. He doesn’t have the typical high turn-over of staff like many dental/medical practices… they are extremely competent. He has always presented me with all my options & has never been a hard sell. He tends to be on the more expensive side, but is worth every penny. His practice is so well-established…he is not hurting for patients. Basically, you get what you pay for… quality care!

I had neck aches, headaches and was being treated by another dentist in Santa Monica for a mouth reconstruction. One half of the work was completed and I was miserable. I found Dr. Sam Muslin on the Internet, studied the pictures showing his work, went for a consultation and he removed all of the other dentist’s work, rebuilt my bite with Face Lift Dentistry and I am totally free of pain. I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you Dr. Muslin — you and your staff were fantastic! I love what you did!

There are dentists, and there are dentists. I’ve had several over the years, actually like getting my teeth cleaned, etc. Dr. Muslin is second to none, period. His office is the cleanest, most high tech/modern I’ve ever seen. The entire office operates very professionally and efficiently. The dentist is extremely well qualified to perform any treatment you may require, especially cosmetic dentistry including full mouth re-habs (I did this, the man’s an artist!).
Only negatives are that they can be a little pushy about cosmetic procedures, and he is, in my opinion, very expensive for some items, e.g., a night/mouth guard whichh most dentists charge between $ 300-$ 400 for, he charges nearly $ 700. All procedures seem to be 15%-20% higher than other dentists. However, this is justified, per the dentist, by the investment in the office (purified air and water, very new/very modern equipment, etc.), e.g., he only uses drill bits once, whereas other dentists sterlize and reuse them. So, while it might his prices might irk me from time to time, the overall quality of care and experience keeps me coming back to him.

I have been going to Dr Sam for about ten years or so and for this hyper-dentist-phobe he and his staff are the BEST. I had grown up with the «Is it safe» (Marathon Man reference) kind of dentists and always felt dread leading up to a visit which was ALWAYS justified. Sam is way into cutting edge dentistry and every visit seems to yield new procedures that reflect his on-going training. The hygienists are very thorough and painless. I highly recommend this dentist and his staff.
