Our Old floor heater stopped working so we call another company. The other company said they could not fix it and we needed a new system! My wife went down to OC Mcdonalds and talked to Ron. Ron Said no problem and set up an appointment. A gentlemen named James came to our house and spent 5 hours rebuilding our old 1934 heater and It works great!!! James was a very quiet hard working young gentleman. We really appreciate such super service and cannot say enough about James!!! I would recommend this company to anyone.

Used O, C Mcdonald for the first time at our company today, We had a plumbing company we have used for years but after not be able to get anyone out here we called O. C McDonald to help with moving some pipes for a small office remodel we are doing .
Daniel was very helpful he was able within minutes to locate a shut off that we were unable to locate, he was very efficient and able to explain to me exactly what needed to be done and he complete it very fast, so we could complete on time.

Since Jan. I have contacted several plumbers to diagnose a problem. After months of getting no where, O.C. Mcdonald was recommended to me. One phone call and next day service fixed a situation that others found puzzling. Cheers to William and Smilin Steve for putting their heads together and finding the cause of my leaking pipe. These two are an amazing team. Besides being very knowledgable, their humor and work ethic is a gift.

Daniel Voss was knowledgeable and honest. Found the problem with our toilet and fixed it quickly. The water shut-​off wasn’t shutting off, so he fixed that too. He also fixed our bathtub spout (which was incorrectly installed by another plumber)! I won’t hesitate to call them for any other plumbing issues! Good people and reasonable prices. They know more and charge less per hour than non-​union plumbers I’ve used in the past. They are our family plumbers now!

I have used O.C. McDonald for several years now. After a few bad experiences with other plumbing companies, I remembered that my father liked O.C. McDonald, so I turned to them and haven’t looked back. Each time I’ve had to call them, the technician has been very nice, very professional and knew what he was doing. The job has always been done correctly and at a decent and fair price. I’ve never had any problems contacting the office or setting up an appointment.
My latest experience was this past weekend. I had an «emergency» with my toilet and wasn’t going to be able to take time off work for them to come during regular business hours, nor did I think the toilet would last that long. The dispatcher contacted the technician on call who called me back within seconds. We discussed the problem and he gave me an estimated arrival time, which he met. I might add here, that not only was it a weekend, but it was Super Bowl Sunday! I hadn’t realized that when I called, though in reality, I would have still needed someone to come out as the toilet float assembly was gushing water and the valve to shut the water off wouldn’t shut it off completely.
Greg was my technician. He was VERY gracious for having to come out on a Super Bowl weekend. He was prompt, professional, kept me informed of what he was doing all along the way, was patient with me which I always appreciate, and he explained the pricing and explained the work he did.
And, as I said above, I’ve had that same experience with each of the technicians I’ve had.
I’ll be needing my furnace replaced soon, and I know who to call.

We have had O.C.McDonald on many occasions for both air conditioning, heating, watr heater installation
and plumbing. Excellent job everytime and great personel.

We were thinking about getting air conditioning, and decided to get estimates. After 2 totally outrageous estimates, and getting the run around on top of it, we decided to try OC McDonald. They had installed the heater 4 yrs ago. Greg came and went to work getting what he would need for the estimate. The heater is in the attic and I knew it was going to be a harder job to accomplish since the attic is small with not alot of clearance. The estimate came back over $ 2000.00 less than our last one! We went with OC, Greg came with his partner Jarrod. They were awesome! The job took 2 days, they were on time, clean, knew exactly what they were doing, very nice and knowledgeable. I was so impressed! We definitely made the right choice! We are now enjoying our air conditioning and totally recommend them for any heat/​air job!

Maybe they should be called «NO See McDonald?» I say this because — my husband phoned them prior to the holiday. Call was not returned. He called again and explained our situation — older floor heater unit, smell of gas. The receptionist (presumably) — who I’m guessing doesn’t do the repair work — said they don’t recommend fixing old units and basically wrote us off. We found another company who is fixing it later this week. So, thanks for nothing, No See.

Excellent and honest! No hidden fees. Greg Pagaling came to our home to evaluate our ancient furnace, and confirmed that a replacement was required. He did the work quickly and cleanly, and we now have a very warm home.
Another company quoted us on a much more expensive furnace, and Greg explained why that was not required in our situation. This other company also quoted us on hazardous material removal to the tune of $ 600 — also a cost that Greg said was not required and he explained why.
We knew we were going to have to bite the bullet and make this rather expensive purchase, but Greg made the whole thing quick and painless, and we felt confident in our decision. We got a fair price and we did not feel cheated.
We look forward to upgrading our AC with Greg next spring!

Great customer service! No hidden fees/​prices
This company has been around for over 100 years! Place is pretty old and they are a union shop! So that means their services will be much more than normal places.
The sheet metal shop is open from 7−3pm M-​F

My gas line needed repair and they came over right away and repaired it. Prices are competetive. Their staff is speedy and customer driven.

I called O C McDonald for an estimate for work on two old furnaces at two homes. The technician called me back within 5 minutes and went out to the property that very day. He called me and explained what the possible fixes could be but also said they would be very expensive. Both of the furnaces work fine but are not up to present day code. He even made a trip to the local building department to see what it would take to bring them up to code. He gave me the options and told me that since they are working fine and have been for 40 years, to leave them alone and save the money to replace them down the road. He could have given me an estimate for thousands of dollars of work but didn’t. I appreciate his honesty and O C McDonald is my «go to «furnace repair/​replacement company from now on!

OC McDonald to the rescue. I just had to have my AC replaced, so I called OC because my family has done business with them for probably over 40 years.
Greg was my technician. He was wonderful. Very friendly, awesome customer service. He called all over the place to get me a new unit ASAP. He wanted to have it here and installed within 48 hours because he knew I was having a dinner party, so he tried his hardest to get me a unit. Due to my nearly 40 yr old piping, the options were limited. Greg had my new unit tracked down, delivered and installed within 72 hour, which I am still very pleased about, knowing that short turnaround time was unrealistic.
The amount I paid was not one penny over the initial quote, which is a rarity. Greg ran into some challenges and worked throught them on his own, which surprised me because I figured he would need help.
In addition to installing the unit, he showed me how to maintain it, clean my electronic air filter and gave me tips on maintaining my water heater. I learned a lot of valuable home-​owner tips today. Greg also noticed a couple of minor repairs that needed to be done that were beyond my ability. He had the tools and for him it would take just a moment to fix, so he just did it. Amazing!
And my house is cool and comfortable for the first time in a week!
I am very happy!

My husband has worked for this company for over 6 years, and they are great! Not only do they do the big stuff like hospitals and hotels, but they take care of regular people too.
One of the things that I love about this company is that they are very family oriented, and consider all of their employees to be part of that family. There are people that have worked there for over 40 years! O.C. McDonald celebrated its 100 year anniversary a couple of years ago, and is in its 4^th generation of family ownership. My son started working there 3 years ago, and my other son may start next year.
