Tyese Cooper Wardrobe Styling

What I love about Tyese’s approach is that she layers on the information in relevant and manageable ways. I recently had a session with her to have my professional attire align with my burgeoning new look.
The pre-​work allowed me to identify outfits I loved via Pinterest, etc. Tyese then carefully «languaged» the attributes of the look I’m now going for: sophisticated, bohemian and edgy (SBE). That way I could have concrete ways of seeking out new pieces and selecting current pieces in line with those attributes. She even had me articulate down to the percentage, how much of each – S, B & E– I wanted to comprise my look.
Tyese’s quick no-no’s for my body type were also helpful to know. Though I know I could meet with her multiple times to learn even more, she gave me a lot of useful styling info to go on just in our 1 session.
Tyese is clear, attentive, and no doubt loves what she does. It doesn’t take much to look more awesome, however, having a skilled eye like Tyese’s helps you beeline to «awesome». I couldn’t have readily done it on my own. She helps take the guess and stress out of the process.

I had a session with Tyese a few days back and I’m so glad I did! I’ve always been comfortable with my sense of style but lately felt that I had become a little too casual especially with my work attire. And also just not having a sense of purpose when shopping for new clothing.
I didn’t really know what to expect and was a bit nervous. A week or so before my appointment, Tyese contacted me with ‘homework’. I was to fill out a questionnaire on my expectations, perceptions of my style as well as share with her a Pinterest board on what styles I liked. This turned out to be a tremendously helpful assignment as it got me thinking in a different way about my goals as to my outward presentation. Tyese spent a good amount of time on the artifacts produced from this exercise when she came over to my home and the ensuing discussion I felt was super helpful to solidify my sense on what I want to achieve with my outward appearance. Her tips and helpful pointers on certain items that I liked and she advised were probably not the most complimentary for my body type were helpful.
I highly recommend her services for her tremendous professionalism and knowledge in fashion and of course, she has impeccable style!

I contacted Tyese for a styling consult because I felt that I needed a professional to help me step up my look (for work) and I wasn’t sure how to do it on my own. The first of task Tyese gave me was to go on to Pinterest and make a board of the styles that I like. In retrospect it seems like a very basic thing to do but I hadn’t thought of it on my own and it was a great exercise to learn a little bit more about myself and also help me learn my own style.
After that she came over and did an audit of my closet where we looked at the kind of look I was going for and the clothes that I have and we got rid of the ones that didn’t fit that look. That also gave us a chance to make a shopping list so we knew what to look for and how to prioritize. Then we went shopping. Tyese was very helpful in helping me identify some amazing brands and styles that really fit me well. This was great and I did purchase many things that day but I also now know what I can look for on sale or on consignment. Tyese is also great at pointing me in the direction of some high-​end consignment stores that I had never heard of before. One of the things I like best about working with Tyese was it wasn’t over that day. She’s available anytime for questions and she constantly keeps an eye out for things that are still on my wish list and sends me ideas. She is very generous with her time.
The other day she sent over some jackets for me that said reminded her of me free of charge, which I was just blown away. Now I definitely have several go-​to pieces that I feel great and overall when I got dressed every day I have much more confidence in what to wear and how to put it together. A closet consultation with Tyese is a lot of fun! She really knows her stuff. She’s great at thinking on her feet and pulling together outfits from the things you already own and checking in with you to make sure you’re on board.
She also put together a look-​book web page portal thing for me so that all the suggestions for outfits, places to find the missing pieces and recommendations for tailors and hair stylists are all in one place. Pretty darn cool.
It was great to go shopping for the pieces she suggested knowing exactly what I needed, rather than second guessing all the time! It saved me a lot of time and prevented some potentially expensive mistakes. Thank you Tyese!

Great stylist. I felt like I should have been in a «before and after» feature in Vogue magazine. She hooked me up for New Years and it was almost all in my closet! Got me to try a new hair style and a new skirt length. She took me out of my little style box.

My experience with Tyese exceeded my expectations. Tyese always looks so great and put together that you know you’ll be in good hands before even having a consultation. Pretty much the only things I wore before meeting with Tyese were black and grey. After she went through my closet she found pops of color to spice up my dreary go-​to outfits. «Take it up a notch». That’s the thought that always sticks in my head after working with Tyese. I had a quick 30 min closet consultation, and she gave me good feedback on touching up my personal style, some interesting combinations to take things up a notch, and different ways to look at my wardrobe. I thought I already had a good fashion sense, but she gave me a number of great tips and also reminded me that looking good comes from the inside, in addition to the outside.

I have worked with Tais a number of times and cannot recommend her highly enough. Not only is her sense of style impeccable, she is classy, elegant and one of the most thoughtful and kind professionals I have come across. You will not be disappointed in any aspect of her service or personality.

Tyese has a great sense of style, but more importantly she quickly sensed what MY style was and what would work for me. Tyese quickly found items that both complemented my existing style and pushed it even further. Her choices were brilliant, particularly the things I would never have picked (and was even hesitant to try on)! I get so many compliments on the pieces she picked out for me (particularly this jacket with a great asymmetrical cut and grey lace-​up boots that attract a lot of attention ;). I’m thrilled with all of Tyese’s additions to my closet and would highly recommend her.
