Specialties

What started as building planters has turned into a whole lot more! For about four years, planters boxes of all sizes have been primary, however many custom projects have been taken on for customers as well! Dog houses, customized privacy screens, Bamboo planters, several tortoise enclosures and recently wood benches for adults and children have been built too!

Most projects are built to order, which means to YOUR specifications too! Just let me know how I can help with your garden and home!

History

Established in 2011.

Rooted by Design has grown from a family hobby into a licensed, small business! We are officially considered a «small, home-based business»! I am stay-at-home-dad for our three boys and also own and manage this business!

This started as a backyard project to fill a need for a better planter, to plant tomatoes. We wanted something that WAS NOT plastic, would not leech chemicals into our growing food and family. My wife mentioned that the finished planter might be wanted by others and we should offer some for sale. The rest is the result of that conversation!

We now have many different styles of planters, most are made primarily from Redwood, Douglas Fir and Cedar to ensure safety of the potential vegetables growing. A LARGE portion of what I do is custom work or variations on my standard planters. Present your idea for your yard, and I will try to make it a reality!

You would be hard pressed to find a better value for your money with our planters.
