So I have a coworker who is darling. Lately, I’ve noticed a huge improvement in her style at work and so I asked her what the dealio was. She said she hired a stylist! She told me that Megan, basically, revamped her closet and her look. My coworker is a great judge of character and told me that Megan is really «bubbly and fun to shop with». It’s clear that Megan helped select some great, classic versatile pieces and really gets the style in our VC/​tech world. I was so impressed that I decided to write a review to commend her for transforming my friend/​coworkers look from shab to chic!

Shopping with Megan was such a positive experience. She really knows her stuff. I was referred to her by a colleague who raves about Megan’s keen eye for fashion and I was in desperate need for an entire wardrobe overhaul. Megan choose really great pieces for me and really curated my wardrobe. She pointed out details I would have NEVERRRR noticed– where to hem jeans to elongate my 5’3″ frame, how to add pops of color to add vibrancy to my outfit. Shopping with her was so much fun– I will never again be left of my own devices of wandering Westfield Mall for 4 – 5 hours on a Sunday popping into random stores and buying dull, unflattering pieces just for the sake of it. Megan has made getting dressed in the morning fun and feel SO much better when I walk out the door.

I worked with Megan for the first time this past spring and had a wonderful experience! She helped me clean out my closet as well as put together new outfits from current clothes in order to spice up my wardrobe. Then I met her for our shopping date at Bloomie’s in the city where there was a whole rack of clothes that she had pulled the day prior, and all I had to do was try things on! I got some really amazing deals on the purchases I made, and I find that I wear each item of clothing regularly.
When I recently emailed to see if she had any advice for a wedding guest dress, she sent me a link to a dress on sale, and I purchased it a couple of days later. When I told the sales person that «my personal stylist» recommended the dress, she was very impressed and said that she must know me really well! I thought to myself, yes, she knows what looks good on me, but also is just really great at her job =) Thank you Megan for helping me find an awesome dress that I will wear for years to come!

I recently moved to the bay area from the mid-​west and was in desperate need of a less corporate, more casual (yet trendy) look. My whole career I had dressed in a very corporate, polished, almost uniform look and that is NOT the bay area vibe! In coming to SF, I was also joining an apparel company and I would have been remiss in not having my own «look» and style.
I worked with Megan and we started out by going through my current wardrobe. She took notes of cuts and colors that I liked and warned me from day one that she was going to challenge me to leave my comfort zone a little. She took the next week to shop for clothes for me at various stores. I met her one evening and we went from store to store for me to try on the clothes that had been set aside for me. We had a follow up session where she helped me pick shoes for the new looks and she helped me integrate my new pieces into my previous collection of clothes. (It was nice not having to totally ditch my previous wardrobe – it was all about re-​purposing, styling and integrating the new stuff – very cool!)
I get TONS of compliments on my attire these days. One of the unexpected benefits of working with Canvas (Megan) is that she educated me along the way – I truly learned things about how to put together a look that will benefit me forever!
I’ve just engaged Canvas Personal Styling again, but this time to do something similar for my husband who is 6 ft 6 inches tall and as a result, very difficult to shop for. We can’t wait to see what they put together for him!

Kimberly is exactly what you’d want in a stylist — polished, professional and personable! To start with she arrived on time and prepped with a set of questions to help me think about my goals for the session, how I wanted to look and feel and even what types of materials I loved/​hated (thorough!). She knows how to deliver honest feedback with tact and diplomacy which leaves you feeling like taking action. She was equally adept at helping me get rid of old items, refresh existing pieces through new combinations and recommending new ideas to explore. Kimberly also has a great grasp of brands, stores, trends and what’s worth investing in. In short, Kimberly is like having a warm, smart, stylish portfolio manager for your closet!

Kimberly helped launch my 2015 year in the right direction as I changed seasons in both my personal and professional worlds. I shifted roles in January from spending my work days in an office of worn sandals, shorts, and t-​shirts, to making appointments with prospective clients at their offices. At the same time, my surfed out college wardrobe no longer fit my expectant father style, not to mention how difficult it has always been for me to find clothes that fit my body type. Kimberly is a visionary with the knowledge and relational tools to take you from where/​who you are to the more you can be, without selling out to what is mainstream all around us. I booked my sessions with Kimberly with the goal of a new look after years of wearing what I’d call start-​up casual. I was ready for a change, but had some reservations about making my look too «professional.» Would I lose some individuality and fun in the process? Also, would Kimberly really be able to really understand what looks good on my body type?
After the experience, I can’t recommend Kimberly highly enough! She is fun, a great listener, professional, creative, and simply awesome at what she does. She took the time to listen and understand my needs… then helped translate that into a new look that didn’t completely depart from my previous style (more of a fun evolution).
On our shopping excursion, Kimberly has a talent for seeing the potential in my things where I could not. She encouraged me to try items that I ordinarily would have dismissed as not right for my body type. And my fear of looking corporate? Kimberly helped create combos that combined for an overall look that was not stuffy or unapproachable but rather polished and fun – and most importantly, totally me.

I wish I could give Megan more than 5 stars, she’s that good. She’s my secret weapon and my fashion lifeline. But more than that, she’s completely improved my life and the way I get ready in the morning. Before Megan, I had no idea I was buying all the wrong sizes! She’ll teach you how things a supposed to fit. As a busy professional, I was always struggling with what to wear, where to buy it, and how to wear it. She introduced me to easy looks that cut the time it takes me to get ready in half, and the amazing part is, despite taking half the time, I get more compliments than ever. The first time I worked with Megan, she came over, helped to go through my closet, pair things up and offered TONS of valuable tips (such as changing the buttons on a suit coat to modernize the look). I’ve been shopping with Megan twice now, and love every single look. My husband was initially skeptical of me using a stylist, but in going through our bills he started to see that I was actually spending significantly less on clothes since I started working with her because she knows how to buy strategically. He is now Meg’s biggest fan (he loves her choices too). Great bang for your buck — everything is easy to mix and match, and she teaches you how. Plus she knows where the best deals are. My favorite part is she pulls looks for you in advance, and when you shop with her, you get to walk into large fitting rooms filled with options. No more wandering through the store! It’s the most efficient use of my time, and I can’t imagine shopping any other way. She has helped me establish confidence in my style and helps me feel polished and put together with ease. She will stay within your budget and help you curate your own style. Megan is so much more than a stylist. She is incredibly smart, talented, an absolute pro and fun on top of it all. I can’t wait to shop with her again.

My wife and I just had another great experience shopping with Megan. She picked out some really great stuff for her. We spent about an hour and a half trying it all on and my wife walked away with a whole new wardrobe that she’s really excited about. Megan works really hard to make the experience enjoyable and positive. And she also has an uncanny way of picking out stuff that is on sale, so we didn’t leave feeling as if we had broke the bank. On the contrary, we were amazed at what we could get for our money. She’s the best!

Kimberly is amazing! My wardrobe was in dire need of an upgrade, and Kimberly came to the rescue. We have gone shopping together twice, both of which were great experiences. She had many different outfits picked out in advance, so all I had to do was go to the dressing room and try things on. She has a great eye and is very easy to work with (and very patient with me!). She also works within my budget, which is appreciated! Most of all, though, she brings an extremely personalized approach and clearly cares deeply about her clients’ happiness. For example, one item I bought for an upcoming trip ended up being defective. Kimberly called the store for me and got them to Fed Ex a replacement to my hotel, express delivery, at no charge! I’m looking forward to working with her again and I will keep recommending her to all of my friends!

I worked with Megan when I was in SF. My experience with her resulted in my seeing new items in my closet and connecting them with other items that I never would have thought of on my own. She’s creative in how she puts pieces together, and always knows how to accessorize to make the look more «you». She’s also great at looking at clothing on racks and knowing right away whether it will flatter your body so you don’t waste time trying on clothes that aren’t really made for you, and that results in a MUCH more feel-​good (and efficient!) shopping experience than if I were just on my own, wasting time trying on stuff that isn’t right for my body. She makes you look and feel like a million bucks without the price tag! Invest in a session with Megan– trust me, it is worth the money!

I’ve been working with Megan for almost a year now. She has helped me put together a business wardrobe that works for both San Francisco and for when I travel. Most of the time, I just give Megan a call when I need new clothes or have a specific event. She gets me what I need without wasting time. The items always look great and I always feel pulled together.

Megan is the BEST!!! She came over and looked at my closet and then we decided what I needed. I was in and out of downtown SF in two hours with a whole new wardrobe. That is unheard of. What she did for me would have taken me days to collect AND everything was awesome. She also made sure that I could mix and match every item so I had loads of new outfits. So, not only is she an amazing stylist but Megan is the easiest and sweetest gal going. She is warm, hilarious and real. You can’t go wrong here. Treat yourself! I used her in the fall and now we are going spring shopping. It’s the only way I will shop now.

Working with Megan has made getting ready for work everyday so much less stressful. I have a young daughter and not a lot of time to spend getting ready in the morning, but work for a company where style counts! When we shopped together she talked a lot about style and color so that now I am able to shop on my own. Plus, she is a blast to be around – I highly recommend!

Living in San Francisco and owning my own company, it is easy to fall into the rut of just wearing jeans and t-​shirts to work everyday. I wanted to upgrade my wardrobe without feeling like I was getting dressed up every day. My wife had worked with Megan before and suggested that I work with her too.
I should start by saying that I am the typical man that does not like to shop at all. Megan changed that for me! She came to my house for our 1 hour consultation to get to know me and my style better. I appreciated that she took the time to ask what I wanted out of our time together and then followed up with questions to learn more. After looking at my closet to see what I had, we made a plan of what we would shop for and arranged a time to go shopping.
Now here is the best part — Megan goes and picks out all of the clothes ahead of time. When I arrived at the store she had a big dressing room already reserved filled with tons of different clothes for me to try on. Megan managed to find everything I was looking for, plus a few items I would have never picked out for myself and ending up loving!
Megan definitely knows her stuff and helps guide you through the experience in a way that is educational and still fun! I highly recommend her to anyone who wants new clothes but doesn’t want to deal with intimidating stores alone!
