The Warming Hut

Cute gift shop with nice, unique souvenirs that are quality made. We ordered a few sandwiches and the bread was dry and the sandwiches were not very flavorful. Very over priced for bad sandwiches. Very friendly staff!

Go there if you want a great view of GGB. They serve delicious sandwiches and awesome coffee. Every time I am in SF — I go to the Warming Hut for sure.

This place offers breakfast burritos which were perfect after a nice long walk along the bay. This place needs to put up signs for anyone who sits outdoors warning them of birds and how they will swarm towards the food if unguarded.

Great little café and gift shop with a killer view. If you’re looking for lunch, I’d highly recommend getting here early. We arrived at 11:45am on a weekend, and people piled in behind us. It was insane. Also, they ran out of a *lot* of food pretty early on. There really aren’t a lot of people working here… just one person manning the cash register and another couple in back, so things were very slow. I can imagine the frustration if you wait 30 minutes in line just to order, then another 15 – 20 minutes for your food. It’s also expensive. Close to $ 10 for medium-​sized salads, and $ 9ish for sandwiches. But you’re paying for the view, etc.
NB: The café and gift shop are run as separate entities; you can only order/​pay for food at the café and only buy gifts in the gift shop.

I was surprised after tasting my breakfast burrito. I went in with the mindset of airport food because this is a touristy stroll, but it was beyond expectations. Cute hut with a a lot of options. Comfortable place to get yourself together and continue your day. Tables were not cleaned promptly as costumers switched and headed out. And they should have a sign about Seagulls grabbing your food at the picnic tables… It happened to myself and shortly after another table.

And food, and so much stuff to peruse and check out and the place can get really crowded and there are usually lots of kids and you get the drift, it’s best to drift out the door…
and take in the views!

Horrible! Simply Horrible…
I come in to grab something to drink and the line for the café is packed with customers. I didn’t think nothing of it I simply said to myself; self… Just grab an Odwalla and hit up the register over there, there’s no line. HA! I walk up and dude tells me sorry you have to pay for that at the café. What??? You have no line here. You’re just standing there looking like a fool and you wont ring me up for two bottles of protein. C’mon!
Whatever poor café only had two employees working. One pouring coffee the other ringing up customers.
Might I add the café will not ring you up for any in store items only for café items.

This hidden gem of a coffee house is one of the best spots for a first date. The environment just makes you want to smile and who doesn’t like long walks on the beach with view like The Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field and Fort Point?
With the ocean breeze on your skin and an ample supply of joggers, bikers, dog walkers, and fishermen, you’ll never have a dull moment.
I love it for a first date because a first date should be as close to free as possible. The max anyone should be spending is $ 10, and that includes parking.
Why? Because exchanging too much money on a first date is out of sequence and disturbs the natural dynamic of learning whether or not you can trust one another.
The Warming Hut accomplishes this objective well. Parking is affordable and convenient, coffee is a small investment and one that people make everyday regardless of whether they’re on a date or not.
There’s plenty of places to explore that helps eliminate the dreaded «interview-​style» of dating, which happens when a date is completely stationary.
Walking along the beach, with each person having a mutual and outward focus, creates natural conversation because there is so much activity in the environment that creates a rich and vibrant dialogue.
You can wander along the stony beach leading up to Fort Point, then explore the old military base turned free-​admission museum, that sits directly below the Golden Gate Bridge.
There’s a ton of preserved rooms and lookout points that make you feel as if you’ve stepping right into another century.

The warming hit is just as the name suggests. It’s a warm feel to it with a wonderful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and part of the city. The coffees are delicious and their food is jaw dropping good. It’s a small souvenir shop as well if your looking to pick up a little piece of SF while grabbing a bite to eat.

–Not so good customer service.
–Right outside the restaurant, the views are awesome.

Cute little place you can stop if you’re doing an 8 mile ride along the Bay and over the bridge. Mostly a tourist trap with many things to buy, but the coffee, chewy bars, and coconut juice held over my family and I before we continued over the bridge.

The Warming Hut is a great stopover point while going for a run or a leisurely walk along the San Francisco Bay.
A few friends that I met up with The Warming Hut as the focal point, and were able to snag one of the picnic tables outside. We brought a lot of stuff, but there is food for purchase inside, mainly sandwiches and water. There are two different lines, one for food and one for the gifts and books they have for sale, so I would point that out. There’s a good amount of souvenirs here.
There’s also a lot of stuff going on all around outside, so I would suggest getting a water and a sandwich and going outside to pick a table or walking on water and going out on the pier.

If you’re around the Crissy Field, then it’s a good reason to stop by at The Warming Hut. Visited here along with my husband during early summer this year. We made a sudden entry to this place as it was getting chilly outside. As goes well by it’s name, The Warming Hut did help us to get warmed up quickly & we managed to grab a cup of Hot Chai Latte & Hot Coffee. It was wonderful to head out for a leisurely stroll along the pier, enjoying every sip of my hot drink and pausing to take some of the best shots of the scenic beauty of San Francisco city & the spectacular Golden gate bridge views in my camera.
They have other light snacks like salads, breakfast pastries & sandwiches; also souvenirs that one might be interested to shop. The price of beverages & food items seemed to be reasonable.
If you’re curious to try this place, I would say why not? & ask you to go ahead. It’s certainly a good choice.

The Warming Hut is quite a nice stop after a walk. The name is quite charming and funny, in my opinion, and I love places with interesting names.
They have lots of interesting San Francisco and California souvenirs and a few snacks to buy. The prices are average, nothing too out of the ordinary. Definitely stop by if you are looking for small travel gifts to friends. The quality is quite good, unlike some tourist shops that sell cheap items.

The warming hut will always hold a special place in my heart. Having lived nearby for so many years we would visit the hut and Crissy Field frequently. Especially on a cool, foggy afternoon, you could step inside, all windblown with Donald Trump hair happening, and warm up with a cup of hot coffee while browsing some of the sweetest locally made merch around. Portions of the profits go back into a parks fund. How awesome is that? My favorite purchases; a Paul Madonna Crissy Field screen print on a tee shirt and laptop bag. Still looking awesome and reminding me of my SF days.
LONG LIVE the WARMING HUT!

I never thought I’d say this, but The Warming Hut needs to crank up the heat. No joke.
It was a windy day in Crissy Field. My co-​workers and I had just finished an afternoon of crabbing along the pier. We decided to pop in to The Warming Hut to escape the freezing cold and grab some coffee. Unfortunately, the coffee was the only thing that was warm inside the shop. For some reason, they had a window open and the cool breeze followed us inside.
If you can look past the chill factor, The Warming Hut is actually a very quaint coffee house/​tourist shop. Lots of interesting books for sale, and San Francisco souvenirs (and not the tacky ones you find in Fisherman’s Wharf). The café brews a surprisingly good espresso (not sure which brand they’re using). A double-​shot only cost me $ 2.50, which is comparable to Starbucks. They also have a nice array of sandwiches, pastries, and to-​go items. Or, if you don’t feel like braving the cold outside, there are plenty of tables inside where you can enjoy your meal.
So all in all, I would recommend popping in to The Warming Shop, but only if you’re in the neighborhood. Let’s just hope that when you go their windows will be closed.

If you plan to walk or bike the Golden Gate Bridge, you might run by this place. It’s the only place to get food and water at the bottom near the ocean, so I’m thankful that they are there. However, their food is overpriced and the service is terrible. In fact, they were down right rude.
It’s really just a tourist shop with food in it, so don’t expect a real café. In fact I would suggest brining your lunch with you or eating before you get there. Otherwise you’ll be like me, eating there for survival, which is what it’s good for.

At the end of a long walk along the beach, the warning hut (sic) was nice place to get something to eat. The service was very strict and they do not accept American Express. Also the Tea and coffee fixings are located at a side table left of the food counter. We split a California Classic: Avocado, Lettuce, Tomato Cheese with Aioli on a ciabatta bread. It would have been complete with a slab of crispy bacon but you know how hanging out with a vegetarian is. Overall a good spot for some rest and sustenance.

I was here for a Unilocal Elite event a few weeks back, no place better to watch the sunset over the Golden Gate bridge. Romantic date spot, quiet place to smoke a joint, or a lovely green space to practice yodeling (preferably not while the sun is setting unless you are a particularly romantic yodeler).
A bit hidden (relatively speaking) but you can still Über there so all is well with the world. Try it for the worlds least lazy cheap OKC date.
