Golden Gate Bridge Cafe

You might wanna try the Sweet Sam’s pound cakes! They’re amazing!!! I wish I could find them somewhere else in San Francisco!

Mediocre hot chocolate. Tasted powdery and not mixed well, but I guess it gets the job done when you’re cold and want something warm to drink. It’s actually not $ 2.25 like the sign says, but really about ~$ 2.70 now. Given it’s location, it’s convenient.

I just want to say their coffee is very good. In comparison to lots of other places where coffee is almost as tea. Also prices are reasonable considering location.

Nice little shop for people who are crossing the bridge, or for a snack after you’ve already crossed the bridge.
My dad and I got some ice cream here, and I was happy to find out it was «Three Twins» organic ice cream. I’d seen their sales pitch on Shark Tank, so I was excited to try it out. The ice cream was REALLY good.
As for the shop itself, it’s nicely laid out, constantly re-​stocked, and clean. The workers are extremely friendly as well.

Worst croissant ever. But I guess that is what you get when its your only option.

What a beautiful bridge! My husband and I walked it both ways on Saturday. I recommended finding a bike rental place for the way back! I was pooped!

this is the worst café ever; in fact my friends and I started a club called «baker’s hell» bc the cookie sandwhiches we got there were so terrible… if you’ve eaten those cookies… welcome to the club

Chips, NAKED drinks, water, muffins… very limited choices in a narrow isle. I don’t think the choices are necessarily the issue… what it are the prices. I got a blue berry muffin and a protein naked bottle drink for 8 dollars and some change… yes I get it — it was my fault and I could have said no… think of it as a stadium concession stands — the only difference is that here — you can bring your own stuff.
so I suggest get something good to eat before coming up to the bridge (Or bring it with you) — get your own snacks and enjoy the day there without spending too much on food or snacks. Use the «pricey spending» on something else.
You can eat at the beginning of the bridge (SF side) or walk down to VIsta Point (Marin Side) and have some lunch there.
If pricing doesn’t bother you, or small pricey snacks then you won’t worry too much about this review.
Tips:
Plan ahead on time for parking… Muni (29) is also an option to get to the bridge … it can save you money.

Worst sandwich ever. Over priced and probably expired.

Very nice to have a café with a parking lot and a bus stop for the 28, it is one of the cafes to make a pit stop at before getting on the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County. At first, I didn’t notice that there was a café beneath the bridge which caught site of my attention thinking this is interesting. All of their facilities are very clean and well maintained, I’ve gotten the idea that this whole facility was maintained by Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District.

After an amazing cycle ride, and finally getting to our destionation, it was good to see this café here because maaannnn was we starving.
The café was a narrow one, and their was not a lot of choice in food to pick from. Originally wanted something hot… but like I said choice. So I had a chicken ceaser salad, which was nice and fresh and quenched my hunger. I dont remember the price, I think when your starving you dont care, if its cheap or expensive you just want FOOD!
The staff were friendly, and it was good that they had outdoor seating. If their were other eateries around I would of picked another, but this was the only one and it was good enough.

This place is in a great location and feeds off of people’s misery, which is like every touristy place. It is extremely overpriced for not so great food. It’s in a great location however. Everyone is hungry and don’t bring food when they want to walk the bridge. So though it may not be that good – they still make a lot of bank from starving tourists.

I guess I am mostly thankful it was just here at all because I had a hungry attack like nobodies business. However, the choices are slim and the veggie choices are even slimmer.
I wanted to go for the bagels, but they are refrigerated and they don’t have a toaster to heat them up with. Bummer.

$ 2.25 for watered down coffee and $ 4.25 for a cupcake sized cheesecake. Why would I indulge myself? It’s the bridge. It’s all a trick to get tourists to hover this hive like a wasps’ nest. When it gets this cold and you’ve walked as far as your legs would take you across the Golden Gate Bridge, warm coffee and rich cheesecake is going to call 1−800-STOMACH.

Right on the Golden Gate Bridge parking lot, it has a quaint deco appearance, reminiscent of the days when the Bridge was new. Inside, it is a small corridor, with snacks, coffee, tea, and two cash registers. Outside, on a shelf running the length of the building, are arrayed stirrers, cup lids, sugar, creamer, and napkins. There are some picnic tables with umbrellas next to the building.
I picked up a 16-​oz. cup of Verona coffee for $ 2.25.
The public restrooms are in another building right across the Vista Access road, and a small park below the gift shop commemorates the funding of the bridge. Sweet-​smelling bushes and pretty flowers complement views of the Bridge and the Bay.
I am pleased to note that the Bridge District takes pride in its facilities. All the buildings, including the public restrooms, were clean.
