I took the SQL Bootcamp with Craig (QuantSprout), it was absolutely fantastic, easy to follow, great pace throughout the lectures and exercises. Positive, fun and extremely attentive to any questions that I had. Thanks for a great and engaging SQL class!

I took the SQL class with Craig from QuantSprout. He is a great teacher. The pace of the class is perfect to learn the course material. The best part about the class is the idea of interacting with other students in the class for each exercise. This helps you learn tricks from other students as well. I would recommend anyone interested in Data Science and SQL to definitely take their course.

I recently took the Advanced SQL Bootcamp course with Craig. He does a phenomenal job of clearly stepping through the content, is clearly knowledgable on the content, and most importantly, he gives the time and effort to ensure that his students learn the material.

I’ve taken two of Craig’s Introductory courses (Python and SQL) and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Craig is very clear, helpful, patient, and willing to assist your learning in anyway possible! I couldn’t recommend him highly enough for any data analysis tool instruction!

I took Craig’s intro to python class at General Assembly and it was an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of Python. For me as a professional programmer, it was a little slow, but the others around me were never lost. He polled the class from time to time to be sure we were all following.
We used a very helpful package called ipython notebook to guide and document our learning. Craig was well prepared and each lesson went off without a hitch.
The advance prep for the class was easy and well documented: most everyone in the class had the materials loaded and ready at the outset so there were no delays.
In addition to basic python language elements including variables and variable assignments, arithmetic, lists, tuples, dictionaries, for loops, and conditionals, we covered packages like datetime and I learned to use the ipython notebook, which was very interesting and a great tool to know about.
We did the programming exercises in pairs as pair programming activities, so the class was pretty lively during the exercises.

I took Craig’s class at General Assembly and it was wonderful. It laid a great foundation of the stuff I’ve been trying to teach myself for a long time through online tutorials. The pacing was marvelous and interactive — he constantly checked in to make sure he wasn’t going to fast or slow for us. If you want to make a commitment to learning SQL in a friendly environment — take this class!

I took the Intro to Python class with Craig at GA-​SF. He did a great job making the material relevant to data science and everyday applications and was very willing and able to answer questions. My only problem was with the format of the GA class itself. QuantSprout/​Craig did a great job working within a classroom setting so no complaints here.

Craig is an excellent teacher. He expertly delivers his courses by providing both conceptual understanding and hands-​on examples for students. I have taken a SQL bootcamp and Python session, under his tutelage. He empowers you to use these programs, but also to be aware of how to continue learning to do more advanced applications on your own. He is very knowledgeable about open source programs, but even if there is something he doesnt know he goes above and beyond to help you find the answer.
Approachable, resourceful and smart, my favorite kind of teacher :-)

I took a Python for Data Science bootcamp course with Craig through General Assembly. Craig paced the class well and covered a lot of material while still making time to ensure everyone overcame various issues and technical issues. He was generous with his time and made a rather intensive four days interesting and fun. Would certainly recommend this course.

I took a Python for Data Science Bootcamp — Craig is an awesome teacher! I had some experience with statistics but I´m an absolute beginner regarding programming. I was also very pleased with the teaching style, the material, examples, and the explanation of concepts. Working with ipython notebooks was very helpful to me: it´s making it very easy to rework important parts of the workshop — that means a great learning gain to me.

Took The «Introduction to SQL» workshop which was taught by Craig. Craig showed incredibly high skills & know how and was clear and professional about every subject he taught or question that was given to him.
I got way more than I thought I would get out of this workshop thanks to him.

I took SQL Bootcamp with Craig and it was great. In 7 hours I went from knowing close to nothing to feeling confident about writing queries! The exercises provided for great practice.

I took the SQL Bootcamp with Craig through General Assembly. The class was well paced and Craig made sure to ask if everyone was feeling comfortable about the material we were covering.
I asked a lot of questions and Craig patiently answered them all as well as the questions from other students.
I had some background in SQL but this class helped me understand the fundamentals of how to work with data which made a bunch of my other learning make more sense.

I took a data query Bootcamp with QuantSprout and I was very pleased with the teaching style, the depth of the material, and the presentation of concepts. Material was presented at a pace that was easy for both newbies and intermediate to absorb and Craig made it fun!

I took the data science bootcamp class as General Assembly with Craig. The class was an excellent intro to the fundamentals of using Python for data science. I was impressed with the amount of material we were able to cover in just 4 days.
In the class we covered using pandas, matplotlib, numpy, and scikit-​learn. I feel like Craig did an excellent job of building on what we learned each day leaving us with a solid understanding of the basics of data science. We learned a number of skill and techniques that can be applied immediately on the job. I feel that I have a solid foundation to go out and continue learning. I highly recommend Craig as an instructor and hope to take more of his classes in the future.

I took the Python for Data Science bootcamp with Craig at General Assembly in SF, and I can confidently say that it was worth the investment. I have a background in R from the Coursera Data Science Specialization, so I was fortunate to come into the workshop with a basic understanding of looping and variables.
Craig does an excellent jobs of teaching fundamentals and building on those in each session. The combination of lectures and ipython notebooks is easy to follow along with, and I was happy that I could easily reference past days’ material when learning concepts.
I’m walking away from this class with a firm understanding of how to grab, clean, and analyze data using python. Now I just have to practice.

Interesting talk with Craig Sakuma in Introduction to SQL here at General Assembly. The exercises get you moving pretty fast towards beginner level programming.
Highly recommended.

First and foremost Craig knows his stuff and undoubtedly a top-​level expert in Python and Data Science.
I appreciated his clear and concise teaching style at General Assembly and I’m grateful for the help he’s offered me after the class.

Took a General Assembly class with Craig re: SQL and it was such a short, yet informative workshop. He really lays down the basics and makes SQL no longer a daunting and challenging mountain to overcome! You can also tell that Craig really gets SQL, loves SQL, and loves helping his students.
Great exercises and I really enjoy the pair programming exercises.
