I have a condo that I rent out in San Francisco. I was having a problem with the installation of a new refrigerator from Home Depot. David was my hero. David was professional, on time and went beyond his duties to help me out of a jam. I highly recommend this company. David is wonderful to work with and I will use this company again the next time I have another plumbing issue. Thanks again to David!!!

Phillip has come to our house about 3 times for 3 different problems over the past couple of years. He is the BEST! Very professional and friendly, he explains things patiently and thoroughly, and has always fixed the problem. It feels great to know a reliable plumber who shows up on time, gets the job done, and is reasonably priced. Phillip at Ace is that guy for me. And my dogs love him. They’re pretty good judges of character.

I found Ace Plumbing on Unilocal,and the reviews were right! With a broken garbage disposal and my kitchen starting to stink up, I needed someone to come on the weekend. A lot of other plumbing companies I researched did not have weekend hours. I was able to get an appointment for Saturday with no problem. When Derrick got here, he was literally in and out of here in 5 minutes! He had my garbage disposal working quickly, and was super nice and professional. I would definitely use Ace again and request Derrick!

Scotty was the perfect plumber. Arrived on time and prepared. Got the job done fast and well. Would definitely recommend.

He was great: arrived on time, listened to a long list of problems and patiently explained how the plumbing in my house worked. I especially liked that he gave me options and estimates without bs. The work he did involved cutting stucco and the cuts were straight and even. I plan to get him again for jobs in the future. Thanks, James!

When I arrived at work today, I was greeted by a message from my downstairs neighbor complaining about a leak from our office dishwasher. I called six plumbing companies, leaving messages and pleading for same day help. One company had outrageous rates, another was booked out for days, three didn’t bother calling back at all. Ace Plumbing called back immediately and dispatched service technicians within 3 hours! When James and Tom arrived, they were professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. They diagnosed the issue within 2 minutes of looking at a few photos and hearing what had happened, then fixed the leak in 30 seconds! I have added Ace Plumbing’s phone number to my favorites list. Definitely going to them next time I have an issue!

It was a Sunday. I was off to my morning Barre class then BAM! — poop galore all up in my bathtub. yum Don’t cha hate it when sewage water decides to invade your home — had a moment of freak out then Unilocaled my way to these guys. A human answered my call — 5 stars off the bat! Everyone else sent me to a voicemail and a call this number call that chase. Guy got here in a jiff and my Sunday turned back into funday!

Sean from Ace Plumbing is the best! He came out today to fix an issue related to my disposal and was in and out in no time at all. He had researched the issue ahead of time and came prepared to fix it the first time. He’s super responsive, personable and does high quality work at fair rates. I would recommend Ace Plumbing and Sean to anyone in SF.

Called them during an emergency flooding situation and they showed up within an hour. The serviceman Plumber Steve was very professional and was able to take care of the situation. Very good and thorough. 100% good service all around. Based on my experience I would recommend them to anyone!

James and Tom were super professional. They arrived early for their appointment, put on shoe covers as to not dirty our carpet, and didn’t even charge us for the service call. The drain switch was jammed on our tub and we thought we had a clog, but in actuality it just needed a little extra elbow grease!
Cannot recommend these guys enough, I will definitely call them if I have any other plumbing needs. 5 stars!

Joe and his team were completely thorough, professional and efficient. Plus, very competitively priced, tidy, friendly and flexible! We had a somewhat tricky drain/​sewer problem to diagnose and, thanks to Joe, were able to take it step-​by-​step and finally understand what was going on. Joe really listened and problem-​solved — not the case with the 3 other plumbing companies that came out to take a look. Ace is now my go-​to plumbing firm. Highly recommended. Thanks all!

I had originally given the company a really bad review because they were a no-​show for our first meeting, but because of their diligence, follow up and what turned out to be really good customer service, I am no officially a fan. :-) Amanda was very diligent about calling several times to see if there was anything they could do to make the situation right, and I finally called her back. She assigned Joe to come out and meet with me, provide me an estimate and ultimately do the work, which was significantly less extensive than what I had been told by two other contractors. I’m very satisfied with the service and would recommend them to anyone– as long as they ask for Amanda and Joe! :-)

Not sure where all the intense one star reviews on the same day are coming from. I use them for the restaurant I work at and they do well. Seems fishy.
Had a valve break on our toilet which needed a special part. Initial tech that came out wasn’t very helpful but Sean searched local vendors to find the special order piece and ran it over to us before service. We have a small space with high-​volume (400+ people per day) and only two restrooms so having one out of use is not an option. Communication was quick and easy and they were able to get it done before it became a larger issue. What more can you ask?

This is an incredibly unprofessional company.
I personally had to wait through multiple mechanics who refused to show up at my house. On top of that, their customer service is off their game and will most-​likely refuse to pick up the phone on any given day.
There are so many options in the Bay Area, I would steer clear of Ace Plumbing and Rooter.

Spoke them with an issue and man on the other end acted as if I were unimportant and in the end, he said that he would send someone out. I asked about a time and he gave me an 4 hour window. I had to take time off from work to be there for the consultation and no one showed up during that 4 hour window. I called toward the end of it and was told that no one had any record of this consultation.
They are unhelpful and have horrible customer service.
I gladly went to their competition after that and had prompt service.

I used this company in the past and I regret so much. Since 2014 until today I have been receiving harassing/​threatening phone calls from these guys to pay an invoice that was already paid and to remove my review.
Threatening customers has been something this company has been doing for years. As I stated in my review from nearly 2 years ago, these guys run business like gangsters.
The worst part is that after all this the owner contacted me to tell me that someone else was behind the phone calls and messages. Well, believe it or not I could recognize his voice and he was the same person who had threatened me and the phone number he was calling from was Ace Plumbing and Rooter’s.

I was going to get another outfit to fix my problem that i reviewed previously (below) but the project manager from Ace proactively contacted me about my last service call that i had to cancel because the plumber was late. She was fantastic and arranged for a call to evaluate the issues more and then set up a call to fix it. Very professional and considerate. They responded with a friendly and experienced guy who returned to fix the issue and explained how the problem had emerged, which made total sense to me as a homeowner.
There is no perfect service provider out there, but what separates good from great is what happens when something does go wrong. How do they react? So I can say with 100% confidence that if you use these guys, chances are everything will go well (that’s why the have so many good reviews) and IF something should not go well, they will work with you to make it right.
I fully recommend them!

I am not saying these guys are bad, but they are not a 5 start outfit. i had a guy come out for a leaking value, after the first visit diagnosed the issue and replaced the cartridge which involved a trip to the shop, I had to arrange for a second visit where they had to clean out the replaced the cartridge but the pressure was still extremely low afterward. the guys left and I paid them not fully understanding that the cold water was getting blocked in the valve which meant I really only have very hot water in the shower. which means basically I have to have the water on so low to mix with the little bit of cold its a trickle.
So a third visit was scheduled and I was very clear that I had a window to get this done — 45 minutes after the agreed upon arrival time I was told he was on his way and was stopping at the shop to get some parts. So I had to cancel this call. I’ll start again with someone else.
Again, this is a tough business, and these guys are rated highly for a reason, but I paid these guys several hundred dollars and exchanged a small problem for a bigger one.

I called Ace for a second opinion. I had a leaking wall mount toilet that another company came out 3 times for, to reglue then said i had to rip out part of the house.
Sean, from Ace, to the rescue! He noted that they were using floor mount vs wall mount «glue“and ring.
I only now use Sean, 5 years straight for all plumbing issues. He sometimes shows up with Joe, and the two are a comedy team together. They get the job done and crack you up. They are caring, sweet but serious about getting the job done Right.

Building management had used this company in the past, but never again.
On Friday November 15 we had a 10:00 am appointment scheduled to unclog a slow-​draining tub for a tenant in San Francisco. At 10:05 they called and said they were running an hour late. They finally showed up at 12:15 — they never called again to update me on their arrival time, it was always me calling them.
The plumber was Rafael The actual time he spent trying to snake the drain was about 4 – 5 minutes., after which he said he could not get his snake around the trap and that he «did not want to hurt himself». Rafael pronounced the drain unsnakeable as in need of a major repair then billed us for $ 145 — commenting that «hey it’s expensive in San Francisco». (Hey Ace — if you are reading this, it’s your invoice #72 611)
We’ve had other plumbers snake tubs in the building before, and quite frankly, if Rafael can’t do it, or can’t do it without hurting himself then billing us for his lack of skill is inappropriate. If this is the caliber of plumber the company now has to offer then I suggest you call someone else.
Diamond Certified? More like lump of coal certified.

Had an excellent experience dealing with Ace, from the first call to the final cleanup, they live up to their stellar reviews on Unilocal.Everything was done quickly and thoroughly with clear communication through the entire process and at a price that even the other companies I received quotes from said was very good.
Joe and his team were excellent onsite, Amanda was very prompt and clear over the phone. We’ll absolutely use them again for future projects.
