History

Established in 2012.

Though I have had a lifelong passion for all things organization, it wasn’t until 2011 that I realized that someone could actually get paid for providing this service. I practiced running organizing projects with friends and others, joined the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) where I learned all the ins and outs of starting and running an organizing business, and shortly thereafter got my first customer call in March of 2012. I have been loving this business ever since. I get great joy out of bringing order and calm into the lives of my clients.

This year Sorted Nest has contracted the help of another organizer, Kate Ross, in order to fulfill the needs of clients with bigger organizing projects. With Kate’s background in retail (she owned her own women’s clothing boutique) we are now offering Wardrobe Consulting as well!

Originally from the Midwest, I have lived in San Diego since 2001. My husband and I have 2 school-​aged daughters. As a busy mom and business owner, I know all about the struggle to manage the overwhelm of daily family and home life. I am always searching for new ways to make life a little easier and less cluttered. My personal search to remain balanced includes yoga, time for my family and friends, and constantly reminding myself not to take life too seriously. My favorite new mantra is «Love People, Use Things.» I love working with families with children as well as busy professionals to help them declutter their way to a simpler, more rewarding life, too.
