I took my Range Rover in today to have a light kit installed. Rick and Dave and Dave-​E were all awesome. Very friendly, knowledgeable, great sense of humors… service was performed in a timely manner! The customer service was superb! I highly recommend using them for your RV and towing needs!!!

Went to this place last week looking for a Bearing set for a 18 foot flatbed trailer. They had everything in stock including the new drum which I thought for sure I would have to order and wait several days. All and all I was out of there in 10 minutes with more than enough parts to fix my trailer. Also very friendly customer service

I went in for a last minute move to find a tow bar and base plate for my Jeep Wrangler. Had no issues finding the place and the staff was amazing at getting my parts. Amazing customer service and knowledge level is top notch as well. Would recommend for anyone looking for towing, trailering, or hauling parts and accessories.

My new candy store! Greg and the guys are very knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. They gave me good options for my weight distribution and worked with me to get the best product for the best price… I can now enjoy pulling my RV. I’ll be returning again and again.

Dave saved my arse and a lotta money! They squeezed me in on a Saturday cause I was desperate to get my trailer brakes fixed before the big trip. Within a couple hours Dave calls me and lets me know all he did in one hour to fix my major problem, such a nice guy. When I show up to get my rig Dave helps me hook up and looks down and says «run in the store and get you the right size ball mount, I’ll install it for you»…I had the wrong size ball, too small, could have easily lost my whole camper and cost me $$$$. He has such a good eye he caught the problem with one look, can’t thank these guys enough. I believe it was Steve or Nick that helped me at the counter and they were the best around, answered some more questions for me with a smile. I will always go here and you should too.

These guys know their stuff, and they are extremely helpful. I needed to repair a boat trailer that was stuck 4 hrs away in the desert. These guys helped pick out an axle, with bearings, ubolts, grease, and drums just by looking at a few crappy pics of my trailer. They were spot on and I finally brought her home. Thanks for the tremendous service!

They had the converter in stock for one of our units. Needed to do an emergency mobile repair.

San Diego trailers blew me away with there information and service they provided… Had a wheel bearing fail on my trailer that I just purchased and had no clue what size bearings were needed for replacement. Greg was extremely helpful and got me back on the road, needless to say after the repair I went back to San Diego Trailer to get new bearings for the other side. Great job to the SD Trailer team.

Time for a fresh review of this business! I recently took my coach in for some custom fabrication work to get my spare tire onto the rear bumper of my trailer. As usual, I get the VIP treatment from Greg and Dave! They had to basically re-​engineer and custom build me a new rear bumper strong enough to hold a spare tire and carrier. Dave is a Master fabricator! They were nice enough to work with me in designing and building the perfect solution. They did not have all the metal we needed so they let me bring in the steel saving me more money! The end result was not only AWESOME, it was very reasonable after we added up the ticket! As I previously stated, these guys are the best, most knowledgeable trailer guys in San Diego period! I’ll be going back soon for a wheel bearing pack because I know it will be done right! Hands down THE BEST place to get trailer parts/​assistance in the county. I needed a new axle on my boat trailer and I did not have to wait long for them to replace it. They helped save me $$ by only repairing what I needed while advising me of my options.
They also helped me with my RV when the BIG RV store (s) were NOT able er… willing to.
Prices are reasonable and they have always given me advise without making me feel like the noob that I sometimes am.

We called San Diego Trailer Supply in an emergency. An accident caused our hitch to dislodge from our truck and the trailer took a nose dive into the pavement bending the hitch along with it. We called all over town with no luck until we found Greg at SDTS who went out of his way to help us. We emailed him pictures of the problem and he had what we needed. A 30 minute drive and they hooked us up with a new hitch, load levelers, and sway bar. Rick quickly went to work and put it all together, tested it out to ensure everything fit right and we were on our way less than an hour later.
Thank you thank you Greg, Rick and the rest of the SDTS team you were amazing. We are now safely on our way back to Colorado.

Just had tow equipment installed on my car and motorhome and they did a great job in a timely manner. Dave took a lot of time going over all the equipment and how to use it. Greg and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful in answering any questions I had. Glad I found this place for all my RV needs!

This is the ONLY place I will take my RV! I brought my 2014 Thor Freedom Elite Class C in to get outfitted with solar panels, controller, inverter, batteries, etc. Dave was super helpful and laid out a game plan for getting everything connected up. They sent me a detailed quote ahead of time, which was very reasonable. As the job began there were some issues they had to work around so it took them longer than anticipated — Dave, who is the owner, stayed 2 ½ hours after they closed to get the job done. But what really blew me away was that even though they ended up spending a couple extra hours on the job — more than they originally quoted me — they didn’t charge me 1 cent more for the additional labor. Dave said the quote was for getting the job done and if he ends up on the short end of that than that’s the way it is. Being a woman I am always concerned when getting any mechanical repairs done — but you can 100% trust Dave and his whole team. They will look after you as if you were part of their family. They are the VERY BEST!

We came from NM to buy an Airstream in San Diego and needed to have our Touareg’s hitch reinforced. Dave Younger and his crew did a professional job on it in a timely fashion.
What’ s more, Dave was a genius when it came to getting our Prodigy RF paired… no eAsy feat with a Treg and spent nearly an hour getting us going.
Not to mention that over the phone on many occasions while we were trying to install our W/​D hitch, Dave made himself available to make sure we got it right it!
IMHO, Dave Younger is not only a professional, but he is funny as hell, an honest person, and if I lived inSan Diego, would like to stay friends with.

When we pulled into San Diego on June 19, 2014, I noticed that I could move the tab tow points up and down an inch or two on our Honda Odyssey tow car. I knew we had a problem. When I showed up at the shop on the following Monday, Greg was helpful but told me that the shop was fully booked but that he would try to fit me in.
Later that day when he called with the news that the base plate had cracked because it had been improperly installed by the original dealer, he told me that it was unlikely that the shop would be able to make the repair because of their workload.
However, I asked him to see if there was any way since we had to be back in northern California for a scheduled surgery. It was then that Dave stepped forward and volunteered to work overtime to get the new base plate installed. I contacted Roxanne at Blue Ox in Nebraska and we were able to arrange overnight shipping and Blue Ox would pick up the cost of the base plate which they did not have to do.
Dave was able to do the install on Tuesday evening. We were able to be on our way as planned on Thursday.
Again, I would just like to thank Greg and Dave and the entire staff at San Diego Trailer Supply and Roxanne at Blue Ox for going far beyond to help us out.

Very helpful staff and took the time to help me get a proper WD hitch, sway control and revised tie down points set up for a race car trailer and tow vehicle I had purchased. Brought it down in the morning fully loaded on a dead weight hitch that was less than ideal and picked it up at the end of the day working flawlessly with everything installed. An amazing difference in how the whole setup handled and made our first time towing 500 miles each way a breeze. Thanks again.

I had work done at San Diego Trailer supply for my Toyota Tundra. I was purchasing a 5^th wheel and needed to set up my Tundra to tow our new family toy. I did my research online and obtained bids at several RV and trailer shops. I was down to my last two shops, Ricks Rv in El Cajon, and SD TRAILER SUPPLY. My decision to go with SD Trailer Supply was determined by their professionalism and eager to assist a new RVer. Rick at SD TRAILER SUPPLY bent over backwards to help me out. Explained how my new slider hitch worked, how they would install it on my truck and printed out a complete bid and took time to explain the prices line by line. They’re definitely not the cheapest, but cheap places do cheap work in my opinion. Greg the manager, I think he is part owner, also took his time in explaining which parts I needed for our new hitch and RV. He made sure I was taken care of and even authorized rick to give me a ride home after the work was done. I read several reviews before deciding on where to go. I did notice that a few of the negative reviewers were full of one star reviews on their profile. I give props when they’ve earned them, and I rip the bad ones when appropriate, and SD trailer Supply definitely earned 5 stars from me.

SD Trailer Supply has indeed become my number one stop shop for trailer needs. Hands down, good honest guys who are always willing to help. Get the right parts and get ya on the road or to whatever stage of the project you want to get.
Purchased new hubs, bearing, bearing buddies and all the accessories and paid a fair price. It was better than waiting for it in the mail.
I recommend the guys down there to anyone and I stop in and get stuff from time to time. I will be coming back. Keep up the great work!

After downsizing from a full-​size SUV to a much smaller CUV, I needed a trailer hitch installed for my beach biking adventures. My plan was to buy a trailer hitch on Amazon and have a local vendor install the hitch on my CUV.
After lots of research here on Unilocal,I found SD Trailer Supply, gave them a call, and explained my plan to them. They were very helpful on the phone and the next day I drove to their shop where they looked over my new CUV. They did a little Internet research while I waited and then they gave me a short list of brands and model numbers of trailer hitches they thought would be easy to install on my CUV. They also quoted me a reasonable installation cost.
That same nite I ordered one of the suggested trailer hitches on Amazon and the following week UPS delivered it. Made an appt with SD Trailer Supply and the next week they installed it while I waited.
The whole process could not have been easier. Not only was the hitch suggested by SD Trailer Supply a perfect fit, they installed it for a reasonable price.

We’ve had nothing but wonderful service from San Diego Trailer Supply over the past 8-​ish years that we’ve used them. Towing trailers is critical to our business, but I swear that our staff is always breaking something. Rick is extremely helpful and patient in deciphering what we need and getting us the right parts. He always has an excellent suggestion on what to do and makes sure we leave all fixed up and ready to tow. Without him, we’d be towing broken and dangerous trailers otherwise … you can’t take that risk.
