Bravo is the best. he came to the rescue when I had my keys locked in my car. he was fast funny and super cool… in & out!

Shady business to say the least. Rescue tow? ha! More like scam tow. This is not a rescue operation, they profiteer from stalking abandoned parking lots of closed businesses in North Park where there is no parking, and steal peoples cars in the middle of the night.
If you or I did what they do it would be called grand theft. Call any tow agency but these thief’s. Also 5 minutes to get my truck out turned into almost two hours. Thanks for wasting my time and money guys.

Took 2 hours longer than estimated to arrive, other than that the service was great. Until I realized the driver stole my watch out of my vehicle when I wasn’t looking, yea they always say keep your valuables on you but I go away for a minute and bam it’s gone

I don’t expect too much from towing companies. But when the business tries to overcharge you $ 220 dollars and argues with me for 45 minutes on why I have to pay this much. It is completely unacceptable. It only changed when I threatened to call my lawyer they told me they had made an error and was extremely sorry. I would avoid getting your vehicle towed at this place if possible. They have like 5 other locations in southern California.

These people are classless. I have never encountered a business so unprofessional in my entire life. I was treated with complete disrespect. The employees they have hired need a fee classes on the proper way to treat people. I would recommend going with another company. These people do not deserve business

While the staff were professional, they have established a racket with the City of San Diego, extorting money from people. I was working at PetCo Friday night into Saturday morning over the ComicCon weekend. I had parked in the Imperial and 13^th Street lot numerous times without a problem, never even having received a warning. However, the one night I needed to work graveyard at Petco after having worked all afternoon at another downtown site for my security company-​employer, I needed to park closer to the stadium. An ACE parking attendant told me to park in this lot or the Tailgate lot, so I parked in the smaller lot, as I had parked there on numerous occasions without an issue. they towed my car Saturday morning and even after seeing me in uniform, would not release my car unless I paid the $ 365 fee. ACE would not refund me the money either, even after sending a copy of my payroll check and badge, proving that I was a legit worker at PetCo that night. They also cited me, and assessed the $ 40 parking fee. The City of San Diego continues to curb parking spaces, stating such and such an event NO Parking per Police order along Logan Avenue and other streets just so that the towing companies can tow people and make money, with the City getting a certain percentage. AGAIN, CAN WE SAY «LEGALIZED EXTORTION BY MUNICIPALITY.» I CALL IT COMPLETE AND UTTER IMMORAL BS.

1 STAR IS NOT FAIR, NEED TO GIVE NEGATIVE STARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER! THEY USE THEIR ACCESS TO THE CA FREEWAY PATROL PROGRAM TO EXPLOIT CUSTOMERS! OH AND THEY ABANDON YOU ON THE HIGHWAY. So car breaks down on the 5, of course I don’t have my cell this day. A highway safety patrol vehicle pulls up and explains the free service offered by the Freeway Service Patrol Program. In a nut shell, CA tag money is used to yank cars off the freeway and are taken to a safe spot to keep traffic moving. Did I mention it is free? So, patrol tells me dispatch is sending Rescue Towing. About 10 mins later they show up — pretty quick. First words «pay first $ 195». I told him no it is free and showed him the pamphlet the safety guy left me. Looking confused he calls his dispatch. I speak with her, she explains that they can only take me to a safe place off the freeway. I ask the rate for two blocks off the nearest exit which so happens to be a base. She says 195 dollars, I said no thank you, the free tow to a safe place would be fine. I hand the phone back to him. They speak to each other for a few minutes. Upon hanging up he says that my car is too low and cannot do it. A new truck will come, he jumps in a drives away. So I waited an hour, no show. So I walk it to the base to get a phone and call them. The Freeway Patrol dispatch tells me that Rescue Towing relayed that I threaten to sue them if my car was damaged! Straight up lie. Here is the deal they wanted 195, I was okay with getting off the freeway and figuring it out. Once I refused, they made up an excuse because there was no money in this customer. Rush hour is good money. They left me stranded — glad it wasn’t my daughter or my wife! The fact that they don’t have boards to step cars on to a wrecker or they don’t know this «trick» should indicate their incompetence.

I can’t believe I’m rating a towing company! I was towed last week — my fault — and they were actually very nice and helpful. They also let me know I could save $ 75 bucks if I picked it up during regular hours. Thanks! When I did pick it up, they had me in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Riding on my motorcycle on the freeway at 65 MPH and keeping up with the flow of traffic, a large white truck was all I could see in both mirrors, tail-​gaiting me with with obvious intent to make me speed up or pull into the next lane. When it was safe, I did pull over. As he passed me at excessive speed I saw it was a flat-​bed with the name RESCUE TOWING on it. He went by so fast, I could only get the first three numbers from the license plate, which were 764…
These guys are SUPPOSED to be professional drivers. Based on this single incident, I would NOT let these guys tow my vehicle. EVER.

I had my own unfortunate run in with these JA’s and was able to beat them at their own game. There are VERY SPECIFIC TOWING LAWS set up in California making what this business does illegal. If you get towed by Rescue towing, start looking into the laws. You will not only get your money back, but you will be able to get up to 4 times the amount you paid back through the court system.
After parking in a JIB parking lot, which I do every day (with permission from the managers) to pick up my children from a nearby daycare, I returned to my car to find it hooked up to a tow truck. It seems that a new employee didn’t agree with my arrangement and decided to call to get my car towed. Unfortunately for her and rescue towing, I am not one to take injustice lying down. THERE ARE TOW LAWS PEOPLE!
At any rate, I paid the «drop fee» and got my car back and then started to do some heavy investigation. It seems that tow companies are not allowed to touch your car unless you’ve been parked in a spot for a MINIMUM OF 1 HOUR. Since I was only there for 15 minutes, they were not legally allowed to touch my car. There are tons of other signage laws, etc that I was able to prove were violated.
After getting no where with my phone calls and letters to Rescue towing, I decided that I was mad enough to go through small claims court and was indeed awarded 4X the amount that I paid for my drop fee. At that rate, I should have just let them tow the stupid car– it would have meant $ 4000 instead of the $ 400 I got (next time, LOL)!
Below I’ve listed the codes that applied to my case, in hopes that it might help someone else that is faced with my same issue:
California Motor Vehicle Code Section 22 953 states that you car has to be parked for a minimum of 1 hour before being hooked up to a tow truck.
Code 22 658 says that a written/​signed authorization by the business owner or representative is required before hooking up a tow. Don’t ask to see this while they are there, but if you get a copy of it later and it isn’t signed by the business owner or an authorized rep (it won’t be) your are golden! This code also states that certain information has to be present on this authorization or it’s void.
Code 22 658 says that upon request, the tow company must unconditionally release your vehicle. Demanding a «drop fee» is completely illegal and the option must be given to bill you for the fee.
There are several articles that also tell you what the penalties for each of these codes is. Some are double the paid rate, some are 4 times the paid rate.
I also took the time to turn them into the San Diego City Attorney’s office at (619)533−5600 who were very interested in my case. They actually continued to contact me through the small claims process and will be following up with code violations on their own. With enough of these violations on the record, they will be run out of business.
The bottom line is that, although it took some time and effort on my part, I was able to legally force Rescue towing to give me back my $$ times 4 for their violations. I got a little education in our justice system which was both interesting and fun. TOTALLY WORTH IT!

The level of incompetence is unreal! I had to call the police department to verify they did indeed have our car, because not one of those idiots could find it in their system. Each one of them had a sour ass attitude as well. I could go on and on about all the crap they said while trying to find my car for 4 hours this morning.
I hope Satan has a special place in hell for this company!

They should change there name to In And Out !!! There fast and know what there doing !

I was recently tailgated, followed, and threatened with bodily harm by a driver belonging to this company. Pictures are attached.

Fast !! Friendly and reliable! They did not turn me away like 2Bit towing did !!!
I was stranded in downtown during comic con. So I called 2bit towing because I was stuck down town by the convention center, they said it would take 45 min and it was the cheapest rate in town. 30 min later 2 bit called me back and said «We are sorry but the driver is tired and he doesn’t want to deal with the traffic downtown, he’s been there all morning. Unless u wait 2 hours we can help»?! I was shocked and replied «Are u serious?!! He must not want to make money. No worries I will call another company who will take my money thanks». After an hour of calling and waiting around and finding out that no other company would come down this way or if they did I would have to wait a hour and a half or possibly 2 hours for pick up. I became frustrated and upset. So then I remembered the name Rescue towing off of a truck which had passed by earlier towing a car right in front of me at the exact time that my car had stalled !! I knew I should have flagged him down when I seen him driving past me !! I looked them up on the net and called Rescue towing right away. They happened to be just around the corner. Rescue towing came to my rescue. When I called for help they said they would be there in 20 min they got there in 10 min !!! They gave me a flat rate for my car it was a good deal. They were nice, friendly, fast and very affordable !! I Will use them again if need be Thanks Tom u rock !! U guys came to my rescue!!!

This is the most immoral company & should be shut down. I’ve contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the police. They stole my broken down car & are now holding it hostage. When I call it’s a different story every time & they have no facts. Whereas I have tons of facts. My battery light came on & I drove it to my neighborhood AutoZone. It died the second I got there. The Autozone guy looked at it, charged it, turns out my alternator is out. Of course it’s after business hours so I can’t get my insurance to tow to my auto shop. The manager at Autozone says not a problem you can leave it here overnight & your insurance can tow it first thing in the morning to your auto shop. I ask several times is he sure, is there anything else I need to do. He says yes he’s sure, it’s a private property & Autozone will not call it to be towed. At some point in the night, RESCUE TOWING doesn’t even know when, they towed my car from the parking lot… on their own. Once I find out where my car is I call RESCUE TOWING. They tell me they were called to tow the car & even have a signature. I say, no you weren’t. I have explicit permission. I call Autozone, they say, no we never called them. I call RESCUE TOWING back. I need to see the signature & I need to know what time the call took place. They change their story, «oh no, nevermind, there wasn’t a call, we have a contract with them and there are signs posted.» There are NO signs posted. Autozone says they do not have a contract with them. I ask RESCUE TOWING do they just go around towing cars for the money because there are reviews from others saying they do. «Oh no, we don’t do that.» Then how do you have my car if no one called it in and you don’t have a contract. «You’re going to have to wait for the manager to come in to help you.» When does he/​she come in? «The manager will be in at 11.» Wait you are going to charge me hourly when your manager won’t be in until 11 and you’re saying she’s the only one who can help me?” He starts yelling at me and hangs up on me.
Another HUGE problem. My car is dead & they are telling me that I have to come there to get it. I currently have a broken foot & no car plus I can’t drive the car if I could get down there. I tell them my USAA insurance can pick up the car. They tell me no I have to be there. I can’t. Is there a release I can sign? Could you fax or email me a release so my auto insurance, the very wonderful USAA, can get my car out of there and get it to the shop to get fixed. «We don’t know how to fax or email.»…HUH!!! Is it not 2013???
You don’t have email or fax. You don’t have the time you took my car. You won’t let my insurance have my car. You don’t have a call that was placed, like you said, a signature, like you said, or a contract, like you said. & the only person who can help me is a manager that strolls in at 11 am on a work day while you charge me hourly. How are you not a car thief holding my car for randsome you immoral, lying, horrible people. Oh yeah, & I saw the picture of where you hold the cars, chainlink fence and cardboard!!!
HOW IS THIS PLACE NOT SHUT DOWN!!! I’ve already contacted the Better Business Bureau & I’m about to call the cops.

I don’t know why Amy decided to give this place 4 stars for «saving» her car on expired tags as that’s their job.
This place is such garbage, tried to contact the supervisor but he is «unavailable» and out on the field every time I call. I had a flat tire at 1AM, got to my apartment complex at 130AM, apartment office was closed so I couldn’t get a temp. Parking pass, woke up at 4AM for work (military) and car was gone.
$ 289 to get it out for less than a half of a day in their lot, rude and untrained staff and did not follow rules and regulations regarding CA LAW vehicle code 22 658 (look it up)
It’s unbelievable to me places like this are free to exists and run in CA. This place is a scam and a ripoff and should be closed down.

DO NOT USE THIS TOW COMPANY IF YOU CAN HELP IT!
My boyfriend’s car got towed from his school for unpaid parking tickets from the school, not the city, the school so they had his car towed by Rescue Towing. We got to Rescue Towing at 5:20 pm which was now considered after hours to them so they charged me another $ 75 for a gate fee. A GATE FEE? They literally charged me $ 75.00 extra for them to open the gate for me to get my car. They weren’t working overtime or anything because they didn’t close till 8 pm but I guess they were just money hungry and like to kick people when they are down. I was totally fine with paying the $ 289 because his car did get towed but I asked if they could just help me out with the extra $ 75.00 because we were 20 minutes late but they were rude and disrespectful and basically told me to go pound sand. They are rude and unwillingly to help someone in need which is ironic considering that they are a towing company! If you can avoid using this towing company please do so because they deserve to go out of business.

Need help!
1. Backed up in corner space in Sport’s Arena parking garage.
2. Swam in the gym with my 2 yr old son and pregnant wife for 30 minutes.
3. Car is gone upon returning, noticing it was towed by a seemingly invisible sign. I backed in. How would this be visible if I backed in?! It’s obviously violating the one hour rule.
4. I call the tow company and they put me on hold.
5. «Rescue Towing» then tells me my car is a few blocks away and the driver is waiting for us.
6. My family and I walk down the back streets of Sports Arena at 9 PM.
7. Rescue Towing charges me $ 379 for holding my car for no more than 30 minutes and doesn’t even check my registration on my car.
Two violations. What do I do? That charge is insane!

First off, I am not a customer nor did I have my car towed by Rescue Auto Towing, so I am not a disgruntled customer who was upset that their car was towed. I am just a driver that so happened to be driving next to a Rescue Towing employee. Yesterday (10÷16÷13), at 6:20am, I was driving down PCH in Long Beach in the middle lane. This tow truck driver haphazardly switched lanes from the right lane into the middle lane almost hitting my car! Fortunately, since it was so early in the morning and there were few cars on the road, I was able to quickly switch to the far left lane to escape him from hitting my car. I honked at him and he proceeded to flip me off (there is a picture of it that I posted in photos)… mature, huh? Then I drove faster to switch back into the lane I originally was in (the right lane, which he was currently in) and he proceeded to tailgate me for about 2 miles!!! On top of all of this, I was driving about 60−65mph and he was keeping up with me, which means he was driving that fast towing a customer’s car. I’m not a tow truck driver; however, I don’t think you’re supposed to be driving that fast towing a 2 – 3 ton piece of metal. but hey, that’s just me.

Such companies as Rescue towing are all about RIPPING YOU OFF. I am wondering how it could be possible to do business in such a shady way. I think City should shut them down.
