My husband and I were a little leary of hiring movers as we had heard many stories of bad moving companies and experiences in the past and we were both so impressed with the professional and efficient services of Pro Moves. George was very thorough and took great care in going over the charges, insurance coverage, etc. before beginning the job. And what I really appreciated was that the «time» I was paying for the move didn’t actually start until they started the packing, wrapping and moving. All the time they took assessing the layout, furniture and unpacking blankets, etc. did not count towards the «start» time. Both George and Jonathon were incredibly careful with wrapping and moving all of our items (probably more careful than I would have even been). And they worked quickly, but not recklessly. I never felt they were taking undue time to drive the price up. I could not been more impressed and pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service and the professionalism of the Pro Moves representatives. Though I hope I don’t have to move again for a VERY long time, if I do, Pro Moves will be the first company that I call.

These guys are top notch! I moved 2 years ago and used them with a fantastic experience so I called again for my move back and WOW! Customer service from Art when called was amazing, follow through impeccable, and the handsome boys, Edward and George who did the move, were just awesome! They made my day so easy and had great karma that allowed everything to roll easy and smooth! They are very careful and methodical and helped me make sure I got my car into my garage! Loved that! I would highly recommend them for your move for price and quality of movers! I will definitely use them again!

Very happy with my move by George and Edward. We had a long distance from my apartment to their truck but they still got everything moved in less time than they originally estimated. They were nice guys too. I highly recommend their service and will use them for my next move.

Had a great moving experience with George and Edward! I had to help a military family member move (she’s out of the country) and the gentlemen were prompt, professional, and got a two bedroom condo into a storage facility with no problems. The price was overly reasonable and the guys did a hard, honest job!!! Thank you sooooo much George and Edward! You gentlemen really took the edge off of a highly stressful day and situation. Blessings and I would definitely recommend this team of movers to anyone out there.

1) I was hesitant because I got a deal on Groupon and sometimes that is a crap shoot, I upgraded to a longer package because of how much stuff we have
2) They are FAST and incredibly strong hard working men and always has a smile on their faces
3) I will ABSOLUTELY use them again and have already recommend them to a friend with an upcoming move!

I inquired about a move less than 24 hours in advance. I appreciated that they were able to accommodate me on such short notice. They were quick, efficient, professional and friendly. I have nothing but great things to say about George and Greg as they made my stressful move become as easy as possible. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends.

Great guys and very hard working! They communicated well and had the needed equipment. They turned a 4 hour move into a 2 hour move with knowledge and lots of hustle! I will use them again and again.

Bought a groupon from these guys because I needed to move my couch from one place to another. When I called to schedule an appointment, they had a pretty full calendar so I was given a date about 3 weeks out. i definitely recommend calling asap to schedule an appointment. The day of the appointment George promptly called me at the scheduled time. He was very nice. George and his assistant David showed up with my couch and took good care of it while moving it into my new spot. Overall, I’m very pleased with their services.

We called them to schedule for Saturday moving. They were booked. They offered to do it for us on Friday. Since we saw they have good reviews on Unilocal,we accepted to change our moving date to Friday. We both took Friday off. They told us they will be there by 1:00pm. They had an earlier move scheduled that day and around 1:00pm we got a call that they were stuck at the first place and would be an hour late. We told them that’s no problem. By 2:30 we didn’t hear from them so we called. The mover employee said he was still up caught up and should be there an hour later. By 4:30 we texted the employee. He said he was on his way! We called and him and he was very upset at the owner for over scheduling things. We were patient. 5:30pm and no one showed up. We tried to call, but no one answered. We were very upset and disappointed for trusting this company. Later around 7:00pm we got a call from the manager saying sorry they couldn’t make it, and he is wondering if he can come at night and move us. 1^st of all who calls at night to make moving arrangements. 2^nd of all who is gonna trust these people after breaking their promise to show up so many times! We told them that our day went wasted and we took time off work for no reason. We asked them to please come and move us the next day, but they refused. In the morning we started calling around and we could not find anyone in such a short notice to come move us. It was a very stressful situation. We tried to rent a truck and after calling many place only one place had a 24′ truck. We had no one to help us move, since it all happened suddenly, no one was around. We had to be out of our place by Saturday so we worked all day just the two of us moving all of our stuff out of our old place. This was a very painful experience and I wanted to share with people who rely on Unilocal reviews.

No. Don’t. I am willing to give 1 star to any company that arrives two hours outside of a scheduled window. Add in chipped furniture, chipped paint, and a cracked outlet cover.

George and another gentleman from ProMoves helped us with the move. He was very professional, and kept us posted on any potential delays or additional time that would be needed. We had a large sectional and dining table set, which was securely wrapped and transported. The entire process took a little over 4 hours, and we had a very pleasant experience

These guys were great! They were fast and professional and didn’t require much direction. I purchased a groupon and when they arrived, George, apologized for taking so long to get there. In their defense, though, they were coming all the way to Ramona. I had no false ideas that they would be able to finish in under 2 hours, but they worked hard to try! They were fast and efficient and made sure to properly wrap all my breakable furniture so that it arrived at my new home in one piece! I was very satisfied and the price was reasonable for the time that they went over. I would definitely use them again!

Got my deal off of groupon and was then informed by Artemis (super polite gentleman who answers their phones) that there was a better deal available through the company. I opted to use the second deal and was instructed that the gentlemen that were moving me would be there at 2 pm. As luck would have it they were terribly held up by their previous move (customer) and arrived at 5 pm. The movers (Edward and Ed-​no joke) were so apologetic and SO POLITE. I showed them what needed to be moved and they busted their tails to make sure I came in under the two hours I had arranged for-​as to not end up with a larger bill for me. I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism of these two men and how polite and customer service oriented this whole company was. I will definitely choose them for my next move and I highly recommend that you do the same.

Let’s start with the fact that I do not give five stars, but these guys earned everyone. The best money spent in this entire new home endeavor.
Now I was not there for the packing, but my wife could not say enough about the professionalism, care and hard word. By the time they got to our new home to stay unloading 10 years of accumulated life and 4 hours were neatly wrapped and packed into their truck.
The next 2 hours were amazing. Not a dent or ding, just vitreous and efficient unloading of those same 10 years.
I can not give greater praise! Edward and Rafael are amazing!

I used this moving company twice in one year (got both deals from Groupon); and I will definitely using them again for my next move in December.
Very professional guys! Excellent customer service. Probably the best deal around town, especially since their services includes a truck. My movers were on time, hard working and even helped put my son’s bed together after my move. I’m really pleased with both of my experiences.

George and Leon were SO patient and nice in helping my mother move today. There was no easy access from her unit to their truck. She lives in a senior independent living complex and they had to park their truck 2 buildings over from the nearest entrance to her unit. This made the move a very long day. Not to mention that her bed was put together by Jeromes (need to post a comment on them) wrong and stripped the screws making it impossible to take the full size bed apart completely. Maneuvering this piece of furniture alone was crazy and they did it slowly and carefully so not to break it and some how managed to get it in to her new place. Bravo guys… you are amazing! Thanks again for your hard work.

I had a great experience with this moving company. They showed up early and made my move within the time advertised. The two men where very polite and professional and new how to pack a storage unit. They carefully wrapped my furniture and even recommended alternative packing methods to things I packed myself. If you need a great reliable moving company, this is it!

Got a good deal on groupon. When you call the young man answering the phones is very polite and is very clear about how the time starts when they leave their office and what the extra fees are if you go over your time.
The two movers Ralph and George were polite, professional, and fast. These are real movers trained how to wrap and maneuver stuff properly… they aren’t just some college kids doing a side gig. This is a legit professional moving company with a huge truck and professional supplies. They showed up exactly on time without trouble finding the place and worked very hard. Would definitely recommend.

I was worried when I found these guys on Amazon… not gonna lie. I called and they told me the clock started ticking when they leave their office in Clairmont and ends when they get back. I thought FOR SURE they would stop off for some coffee on my dime… but NO! They were awesome! They showed up… took inventory… and got to work! They were fast, professional, and my stuff showed up at my new place in the same condition as when it left… unlike the time I had my Dad help me move… love you Dad… but don’t EVER touch my furniture again.
I didn’t see anything like the negative reviews. I will use them again in a heartbeat.
…ps…to the guy that lifted my king size mattress by yourself… so hot… Unfortunately my husband frowns on me dating though… big sigh…

MOVERS BEWARE!!!
Please do not use this company. Please, please, please. I am an Air Force military member and have moved many times in the past few years from California to Arizona, Arizona to Germany, Germany to Arizona, Arizona to Tennessee and plenty of times around the city and around the world. Out of all the times that I have moved, even when I had my items shipped from overseas I have never had any broken/​dented items.
It took the movers 2.25 hours to load items that took .75 hrs to unload. I was not only penalized by my property management company for exceeding my 5pm time limit but also charged for their extra hour of services.
This company showed up with three men when I had initially requested two. I don’t have a lot of things since I lived in a 600 sq ft apartment and I had previously packed all of my items in boxes with the exception of my wardrobe items because I read in a post below that the boxes were to be provided for an easy move. When the men got there only one man was working which was Artemas the driver/​owner which he took a lengthy time wrapping up all my furniture in plastic and moving blankets; the second mover was moving boxes out slowly out the complex and the 3^rd mover was doing god knows what inside the truck.
After 2 hrs of seeing no progress with the move I got so frustrated I had to call for extra help from my brother. When 4pm hit I had to tell the men to stop and to head out to the new complex to avoid extra penalties. At this point they were only half way done with my 600 sq ft living space items. As I was leaving my complex I noticed my fire extinguisher was damaged/​broken in the ground and was brushed behind a door to hide the evidence. I took a picture of this to document.
We arrived at the complex and as we arrived the property manager offer to help unload to help speed things up and get out on time. The movers were helpless I still ended up moving and doing heavy lifting myself and inconveniencing others which is why people hire movers to avoid these issues.
When the property manager saw the items that were inside the truck he commented that he couldn’t believe it took them 3hrs to move the little bit of items that were loaded in the truck. We unloaded all the items in 45 minutes which incurred just the same distance back and forth from truck to property along with elevator included.
Horror doesn’t end there. As we unwrapped the items to hand back the blankets i noticed a huge dent on the side of my wooden bar. I pointed that out to them and asked if i was going to be reimbursed for the damages. Artemas, responded defensively and said that neither him or his men did it without even asking his men. When I asked him to stop speaking for his men and let them speak he asked his men in a demeaning manner if they had made the damages. None of them admitted to the damage and then said that I did the damage when I was unloading the bar from the truck and that he was not liable for it. I told him I would file a complaint at a later date and would contact the company, but I guess I am Shit Out of Luck since he is the owner of course there is no need to fear being liable for things.
They also at end of the move made us return the wardrobe boxes so i ended flipping all my clothes upside down to on the floors of my bedrooms to get them out as soon as possible.
This issue will be directed to the Better Business Bureau for any disciplinary actions on this business. But for now please beware of this company.
I would suggest to go with a different company to avoid any physically, emotionally, and financially heartache.
