Established in 2014.

After much time with puppies, playing with animals, organizing closets, and managing stressful schedules. Katie Alfaro, business owner of My Puppy Playtime, decided to start a business to facilitate the lives of others. Katie is an advocate for a healthy lifestyle and providing pets and dogs with the love and care they deserve. After working in the pet care industry Katie started My Puppy Playtime. With the satisfaction of many clients, it has been a great success since!

Katie moved to pacific Beach in 2012 to start college as a pre-​med student. As a life-​long animal lover, she started running with dogs as a contractor for other companies and became fascinated with the idea of becoming independent to be able to provide additional services and cater to local families and their pets.

At My Puppy Playtime Katie takes pride in her team, who is committed to giving pets the love and care they need.

I can’t say enough how Katie and her team at My Puppy Playtime have been such life savers to me over a difficult military deployment this year. The whole team has provided such great care for my two dogs, the absolutely love her! My work schedule can be crazy sometimes and they have always been so flexible with walk times which is very helpful. The communication is excellent and the photos and text updates are very reassuring when I’m gone most of the day. My dogs look forward to their walks every time!

With a busy work schedule, I am unable to come home and walk my pup during the day. Katie and her team are great — I know my dog is always in good hands and they have such a great time during their lunchtime walks! She is great about sending picture updates, letting me know how their walks went, and letting me know overall how my pup is doing. The prices are very reasonable and they are always punctual in taking him out. Highly recommend my puppy playtime!

I have a very busy schedule between work and school with some very strange hours. Sometimes during the week I am home very sporadically and as a loving mama I worry about my furry baby, but not when he gets walks from My Puppy Playtime. Katie and her team work with my schedule and are always available to take him for a nice long run or the dog park or sometimes I just ask them to give him some loving play time and they do just that for the exact time indicated. She also sends me pictures to check in and updates me on the visit. The team at My Puppy Play Time is committed to loving on each dog which makes doing business with this team seem like a friendship more than a transaction. I love My Puppy Play time for making my puppy so happy he doesn’t even realize mom is away at work.

I have been using dog services for the last 9 years in three different states. I am very pleased with the services and professionalism from My Puppy Playtime. It has been the best dog service I have used thus far. The owner is trustworthy, pleasant to work with, and she seems to enjoy her work.
I utilize the dog service and I have used the house service once. It was great to come home with fresh groceries in my fridge and my dogs well cared for. I highly recommend using this service.

I don’t normally have people watch my dog, but one day I was in a pinch and My Puppy Playtime came to the rescue! My poor baby was sick and I had to leave her all day at home so I decided to call this service a friend of mine is always raving about and I am so glad I did! Not only was Katie super friendly, and the fee fair, but she was able to help out at the last minute and even updated me throughout the day letting me know how my dog was doing. I’ve used her and her team’s services since then and my dog is always super excited to see her, probably because she knows she’ll get to go on a really long run, and when she comes home she is as happy and tired as can be. I highly recommend My Puppy Playtime.
