Karina is amazing! She was patient with all my special requests and made my Loki even more handsome than I expected! I love how they have a sandwich board with the expected puppies of the day. And they have a self washing station! Place is dog heaven!

I recently took my dog Shiloh here and I was completely satisfied with the job that was performed. Karina exceeded my expectations. I will be bringing him back when the time comes to trim again. He smelled great for a nice little while too! Just like fresh laundry which is one of my favorite smells. :))

I have had good experiences with the grooming and walk ins for gland expression.
Only down fall so far was when I rushed over after commuting home from work to try to make it before they closed for a walk-​in gland expression. They had closed maybe ten minutes early for the day. Good place for appoints or mid day walk-​ins.
Now I know to call if its close to closing but will more likely look for a different option.

These guys are great. I own a shiba who is a rescue and hates water. He is just about as tough as they come for dogs and grooming. The people who work here really know dogs and clearly love them. Prices are reasonable and they did a great jump making coda feel at home. Highly recommend them

I can assure you of one thing, the owner was not in today!!! I took my 2 dogs in for the do-​it-​yourself dog wash. I was directed to one of 2 tubs and told it was clean, it wasn’t. When I told the 2 staff members at the front desk one reluctantly cleaned it for me complaining it was her day off. I asked for a towel and brush, neither was forthcoming so I had to call out for help as all of the staff was now in the back. I got one towel and a stiff shammy and told it was as good as a towel, it wasn’t. I also had to ask for the brush a third time. When he finally got around to brining it to me it was filled to the brim with another dogs hair, gross! The staff were obviously annoyed to be dealing with someone washing their own dog. The service was abominable and the place absolutely filthy! Give another establishment your business.

Ryan and his team do a great job. Our Maltese poodle Betty has been getting groomed hear for years and MBPS always exceeds our expectations. Highly recommended.

I took my dog Bear in for his 4^th or 5^th visit to the Mission Bay Pet salon and I thought to myself I should take a picture and give them a good Unilocal review today because I’ve always been pleased with their service. But this visit was different.
I was quoted 2 – 3 hours for him to be done and about 3.5 hours went by before I got a call that he was ready. I go in to pick him up and a woman approaches me with wide eyes and a concerned look on her face and says she needs to tell me something, that something had happened. My dog is nowhere in sight so of course I start to panic, is he ok? Did they die him orange? Is he missing an ear? She took a long time to get to the point which was that he somehow was able to lick the scissors and cut his tongue!
I can see how this could happen from time to time but an experienced professional should be cautious and focused enough to not let it happen. My dog is now ok, but what upset me the most is how they treated it like it wasn’t a big deal. I was still charged full price, I was offered no deal or free service as an apology and an incentive to maybe come back in the future. The rest of my day was spent trying to keep him calm and licking ice cubes to try to stop the bleeding. My white dog is now bloody and licking himself red.
So all in all my dog had a traumatic experience, I paid full price, they didn’t seem to care that they were probably losing a loyal customer, and my once temporarily clean dog is in need of another bath.

Love this place. Love the online appointment setting. My Bouvier gets her hair cut here and the staff are all really friendly. I like the do it yourself bath tubs too.

I’ve been taking my pet here for the last 3 years and my experience is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes the cut turns out nice, but this last time it seemed like the groomer Alicia rushed so fast that she left patches of hair and lack of hair in some areas. when I’m paying about $ 65 for my 5 lb dog to get a haircut I expect him to not look patchy. Two stars just because I have had SOME good cuts from here, but not this time.

I’ve been taking my Maltipoo here for the last year and a half and am always very pleased! My little fur baby always looks adorable and trust me, she knows it! Also love the super convenient booking online.

STAY AWAY!!! My puppy got an EAR INFECTION BECAUSE OF THIS PLACE!!! This review is way overdue and I wasn’t going to write one because I really don’t like writing bad reviews but after the vet confirmed my dog has an ear infection after getting him neutered recently I truly believe that it was because of this place! I brought my puppy here in June when he was four months old and I asked the lady who was to groom him to not pluck his ears because the vet specifically instructed me not to do it as it can cause an ear infection. But the lady kept insisting to do it and I kept telling her no because of what the vet told me, and then she turns it around and says that keeping the hair in his ears would cause an ear infection. So not really knowing at that time who to listen to I just gave in and asked if it would hurt him and she said no. I left there very concerned still.
First of all, if a customer makes a request for THEIR dog you should NOT fight it and just do what was requested! Not to mention his cut was super uneven! I kid you not the moment I took him home he started to scratch his ears non-​stop. I told my good friend about it and she was shocked! She said the ears are very sensitive so it most likely hurt him! I was so angry after hearing that!
They say that if a puppy’s ears are healthy and fine then don’t touch it but this groomer had to have it her way with MY dog and plucked his ears. Even after having my dog’s ears cleaned by other groomers he still continues to scratch and shake his ears causing him this ear infection! None of the groomers questioned me when I asked them not to pluck it! Had that lady left my dog’s ears alone in the first place and not plucked it he would not have this issue! She should have just done what she was told and not act like she was a Vet! I am highly considering taking legal action on these people for causing my dog pain with this ear infection!!!

I love this pet salon because they normally offer great customer service and I love how my dogs look when I pick them up.
My little boy can be quite difficult when it comes to the groomer (separation anxiety), but they do a good job making him feel comfortable!
Pricing is a little higher than other groomers, but they spend a lot of time and care into their work.
The only problem I have with this place is that they always keep my dogs collar. I dropped off my female puppy and when i got her back the groomer forgot her collar. I caught it in time before I left so she was able to retrieve it. Another time, I dropped off my male dog, and again they forgot his collar. I left the shop and had already gotten home before I caught it. I called the shop multiple times but no one picked up. So I called the next day (sunday) and no one picked up again. I went to the store in person and asked the male worker to look around for my dogs collar and he tried but he couldnt find it. He took down my info and said that he would check with the groomer and someone would call me the next day… but guess what. I didnt get a call and when i called the shop no one picked up again so i gave up and bought a new collar and tags for my dog.
maybe i should just make sure i take everything with me and just leave my dog there so i dont have to waste money.

I have been taking my maltipoo here for a year now. Sometimes she looks great but other times not so much. Maybe the inconsistency is my fault for not booking the same groomer each time. However, my last appointment is the reason for the one star review and why I will not be bringing her back.
My roommate made an appointment for a «bath and brush.» Her hair is still very short from the last time she was there and shaved, so all she needed was to be bathed, fluffed out and have her nails trimmed. When I dropped her off she was more scared than usual, shaking uncontrollably, which I didn’t think much of. Now I know why.
My roommate went to pick her up since I was at work when they called. She texted me saying she was acting really weird and was kind of wobbly and ended up taking her to the vet.
Now fast forward a few days. My roommate noticed the bow on her collar was moved to the opposite side, which was kind of odd. But then we saw a spot on her neck had been shaved and it looked like they tried to cover it with the bow. Once I took her collar off to inspect it, I saw that she had a pretty big cut that definitely wasn’t there when I dropped her off. I sent my concerns in the feedback email they always send after your appointment. Haven’t heard back from them or anything.
Aside from the odd shaved spot and cut, she doesn’t look any different from when I dropped her off. Normally she looks clean, fluffed out and the tear marks are removed from under her eyes but not this time. The groomer is already a scary place for her and it seems as if they don’t care about making it a pleasant experience for the animals. Not sure if the person who worked on her was new or just doesn’t care about their job. Either way its a good enough reason for me to start taking her elsewhere.

I have been searching for a groomer I love for the last 2.5 years since I moved to San Diego. I finally found the one! Everything about the store is super cute. When you first arrive to drop off your dog, their name is written on the board outside, which is very welcoming. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and they tell you how much the extras will cost if you ask for any. Ringo wasn’t shaking and scared when I picked him up which is more than I have been able to say about other salons. His haircut looks amazing (Anna did exactly what I asked), he smells great and I can’t wait to bring him back. The prices are more than fair — my babe was $ 57 for a full groom with haircut and teeth-​brushing. I am one satisfied customer!

This is the best place ever! I’m so happy I found you guys! The first time I left my dog there she was very scared because it was her first time but her groomer had a lot of patience with her and I was happy but today I left her for the second time really hoping that she would be nice and let them do their job and when I picked her up I couldn’t be more happier. Ana did this AMAZING job on her tail. I really can’t understand how my dog let her do this. I’m so happy! Thank you so much Ana! I’m ready for Halloween with my little unicorn!

I’ve been a customer for a year but that ended few days ago, when they did not follow how «Bath and Brush» is described on their website! My dog came out just as how I left her! Dirty paw, NO PAW PAD TRIM. NO SANITARY AREAS TRIM. NO BLUEBERRY FACIAL. NO BANDANA OR BOW. I HIGHLY HIGHLY DOUBT THAT MY DOG EVEN GOT A BATH. Her minor tangles were not even brushed off. $ 36 for what? For a nail trim?
I can never leave my dogs in this pet salon, never again. This pet salon is such a disappointment.

First time clients. I absolutely love this place. Our groomer Alicia did an excellent job on our yorkie baby girl. I was worried that she would have total anxiety because it was her first time at the groomers but she was so happy & looked adorable when I picked her up. She smells amazing & her fur is so soft & fluffy. Customer service was friendly & knowledgeable. I will definitely be bringing her back. Keep up the good work!

Luv this place! I drive through beach traffic to get here from Carmel Valley even though there are many places that are closer. They do an excellent job, the prices are reasonable and they’re very caring and nice

As a new customer, I was impressed with the easy check-​in process and the overall service. However, I almost fell over when my total came to $ 100 (one HUNDRED!) to clip my mutt. This is way more than I’m used to paying, even at my dog’s normal over-​priced Hillcrest salon. (Note: I ordered the full-​service wash with nail clipping, paid a little extra to have her teeth brushed.)
Also, I noticed when I got home that one leg needed to be cut much shorter. I don’t know if they missed it altogether? But for $ 100, she should’ve looked show-​ready.
Great customer service, just not worth the price.

I have a Pom and a lot of groomers can be awful with them. They did such an amazing job with Bentley! Beefy– my other dog is a morkie and they made her look just like a puppy again.
The groomers and all very friendly and welcoming. From the moment you enter.
Worth every penny!
