History

Established in 1985.

Previously known as A Action, Emro Dapcevic started what is now Morena Welding Inc. in 1985. The original location was up Morena Blvd at 2245 Morena Blvd. In December 2008 we moved into a new larger location at 5319 Grant Street, off of Sherman Street and Morena Blvd. The building is shared with Emro’s son Mick’s Garage Door Enterprises business which is just opening what will be the largest garage door showroom in San Diego in July 2010. Morena Welding has had an A+ accreditation since 1975 and is working towards a Golden Torch Award for 2011.

Emro Dapcevic is a true example of the American Dream. Immigrating to New York city from eastern Europe in the early 50’s, Emro strived to start his own business. After having a son, Emro and his wife moved to San Diego and started A Action Welding & Garage Door. Even thought the original location was much too small to handle the structural steel projects he acquired, the guys made it work and 25 years later we are still producing the best work in the area.
