In 1990 I opened my construction business with the belief of giving costomers a quality job at a resonable price. Whether I am building a home, kitchen, remodel, addition or simply doing repairs at your home, I am a personally on your job working and overseeing the quality of work being performed by doing this, there are no errors in communication so you get exactly what you want and I can check the quality of the work being performed.

I pride myself I’m being very honest, easy to work with, great communication skills and treating everyone around myself the way I wish to be treated, just ask some of my clients.

I have had a couple of employees for 28 years and several for 12 years, this is accomplished by having mutual respect, the same respect and honesty you will recieve from myself and my employees.

Steve has helped with the remodel of our 140 unit hotel. Things were done within budget and on time but more importantly his quality of workmanship is excellent! As an added bonus you get someone who’s experienced to give good feedback and alternatives when things don’t go as planned. (Which happens when working with older properties like our hotel.)
In addition to our commercial projects he has also helped with projects at my home. He respects my time and I trust his work. In every case I’ve been extremely satisfied and I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family.

Steve Moss has worked at our home helping us with many remodeling projects as well as new construction. Let me first say, we are very particular and expect the finished project to be exceptional. Steve’s work has always exceeded our expectations in both craftsmanship
as well as his integrity and honesty. He’s a contractor who shows up when he says he will be there, his attention to the finest detail, and communication throughout the job have always been outstanding. After 4 homes (20 years of home ownership) and many, many contractors I can honestly say that Steve Moss is one of only two guys in San Diego I trust to work on my house. He has repaired damages from water leaks. He has replaced windows. He has repaired termite damage and helped me find the right people to take care of other aspects. He has renovated a master bathroom and a guest bathroom. He was too busy to help renovate our kitchen but was willing to give us feedback and referrals of whom he trusts instead. He has been willing to help me find ways to stay within budget on some of the projects and helped figure out how to be cost effective in emergency situations.
I am a fan of Steve and his workmanship.

I’ve worked with Steve on more than one occasion so my opinion isn’t based on just one interaction or one job. Every time I’ve called Steve he is more than willing to lend his time to discuss what it is I need to discuss. If he’s not available he always calls back in a timely manner. I’ve had so many contractors that fail to follow through and call back and take the time to just talk to me. So it’s refreshing to see someone with the care that Steve has. With all that said, his work speaks for itself. But if the pictures don’t cut it for you, let me tell you his work is beautiful. His attention to detail and care of the job site is second to none. If you want someone who will tell you the truth, provide an honest estimate and not bait and switch you, Steve is the man for the job. To me, that is priceless.

I’ve had several contractors work on my home remodel over the years but Steve is by far the best! First and foremost he shows up when he says he will, and sometimes earlier :-). Anyone who has had contractors work on their house knows that most contractors show up when they want to. Secondly, Steve’s work is top notch. He is a perfectionist which is something you don’t find in many contractors. Lastly, Steve stands by his work and will come back out if there any questions or issues after the job is complete. I’ve already scheduled him for my next project. Thanks Steve!

The most recent home improvement project we had done was a complete Master bathroom remodel which included the old bathroom gutted and re-​designed by Steve Moss Construction. The new bathroom is a unique custom bathroom, it includes an enlarged and fully tiled shower, double sink vanity, and separate toilet room. It also has a large open archway which makes our Master bedroom and bathroom much larger. As part of the design, we also have his and hers closets. We also had the master bedroom and another room painted and new closet doors in all bedrooms. We began by showing Steve designs we had drafted by an architected, but after one consultation with Steve we had a more superior and less expensive plan for the project. Steve was on site to perform most of the work himself. When he did bring in subcontractors, he was there to supervise their work. Along the way Steve presented us with options for materials and made sure we were happy with all the work performed by the plumbers, tillers, electricians, and painters. We have had numerous other projects done by Steve and plan to ask him for quotes in the future.
