Closet Factory

I’ve used closet factory twice already and love the quality. But… The customer servos is HORRIBLE! They never showed for the initial consultation and when I called hours after the appointment time they seemed remorseful and too 10% off the total. On the day of the install the installer was great but one of the pieces was wrong and needed to be replaced. I was told that it would take a while to order the new piece because of the color. About two months later I called to find out when the new piece would be installed and I was told that they forgot and will schedule me. I scheduled an appointment only to wait all day for no one to show. I called again and was told that they forgot and could not find my number to call. Now finally after MONTHS of waiting I scheduled yet another appointment for the install and they are now 30 minutes late with no call. I’m so done with this company’s customer service and will never use them again!

We were led to Closet Factory by Costco. Shame on Costco and us for not doing our homework first. We trusted Costco because we’ve been happy members for years so we never thought to look at other closet companies. The nightmare started when Devora, the designer, transposed the measurements for our new (sliding doors type, not walk-​in) closet. The installers found out the measurements were wrong when they were installing it their first time out. Since they had all the wood pre cut we let them use what they could instead of insisting they start over. The next big problem came weeks later when they were installing the doors and the doors couldn’t shut because they hit the handles on the drawers! Once again the measurements were off. Who designs closets like these? All in all it took five tries to install it correctly. Now it looks decent except we noticed a couple of days ago that the sliding doors are starting to slightly bow! When I spend $ 5,000. for a closet I expect it to be good quality and hold up. I’m really not sure if this will or not but I sure hope so. It appears to me that Closet Factory is overwhelmed and completely understaffed with the response rate they get from Costco. During this long process I also found that when we called the office and left messages or spoke with someone that said they will call right back, they do not. I had to make several phone calls on many occasions to find out what was happening with our order. Again, I think they are understaffed.

First I want to say that the Closet Factory did a good job on achieving what I wanted. The installation went smoothly, but the salesperson was only okay. She sent me a preliminary plan for what I’d asked for (a walk-​in closet), and I reminded her that we had changed that plan before she left my house. She did not correct that sketch before installation, but in the end I liked what I got. One strong recommendation to all future clients: if you order drawers (and I did), make sure they have the auto-​close feature. Like other clients who posted I found the people who worked in the showroom downright rude. Yet I would use them again. The price was right.

Excellent service. Devora designed a closet remodel in a very short period of time that we are really happy with. They arrived and installed it on the day scheduled and did a very good job. We are completely happy with the Closet Factory and Devora and would definitely use them again.

Just had Closet Factory build a reach-​in closet. Would give 5 stars to designer Diane and the work crew, but they lost one star on my visit to the showroom. Kind of gave off the impression that they really didn’t need my business. Glad we stuck with them, tho. Better price than Closet World or California Closet.

We just finished having our bedroom transform by Closet Factory. I had Lynn as my designer, she was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting my design and was a pleasure to work with. We had some challenges in the configuration as I had a strange space to work with but she came up with the a perfect set-​up. The team of installers were so professional and fast! Everything fit perfectly and when they left there wasn’t even a speck of sawdust! I am so happy with the final product and can’t wait to redo my next closet. Oh, forgot to add… they even ended up coming in with a LOWER price than initially quoted. Thank you to everyone at Closet Factory!

I found the brochure at Costco and called Closet Factory. Diane came out to meet me, came up with a great design and e-​mailed me the price and layout. I did get other bids and she had the best price. It was installed today and I could not be happier. It’s gorgeous. The installer was polite, on time and did a great job. He didn’t have a broom to sweep up as he left, but I told him it was no big deal and it really wasn’t that big of a deal. Just a little dust, etc. from unpacking the materials. I am thrilled my only complaint is that I wish I had called them earlier.

We had our master bedroom closet remodeled a few months ago and we are very happy with the results. We had another quote which was higher and did not give as many amenities as the Closet Factory. Diane was very helpful and listened to what we wanted. Everything went smoothly from the consultation to the final installation. I absolutely love walking in that closet now. It’s like my personal retreat. Granted, it still costs more than you first expect but the final product is worth it in my opinion.

I had used Closet Factory a few years ago to install closet organizers in my guest room and infant sons closets. We thought all was good. I called them back out March of this year to discuss some reconfiguration on the closets since my son has outgrown the original design. The designer was eager to get out to my house but when learned it was a redesign lost interest fast. She had designed new plans and gave me the 650.00 price for the remodel. She told me that she would have to schedule me on a day she had another job since I was not a full day worth of work, but that she would call me with the date. I waited 4 days and still had not gotten a call. I called her and she told me to call the scheduling center myself to see if I could get a date. Well that was three weeks ago and 7 calls later… They tell us they are going to call us back and never do and say even when they do give a date it will still be several weeks out. Today I had it I called closet world and they are coming out in 6 days to remove all the closet factory product and install a new organizer with nicer material and drawers not to mention they were the same price… Do yourself a favor and don’t go with Closet Factory just call Closet World and get it done right,

From the beginning very helpful, after contract was signed, customer service was awful, never called back, I had to call many times and it took forever to finish. Would never use them again or recommend them.

Rude! Walked in the empty showroom at 4:10 PM on a Wednesday afternoon and was greeted by a woman who said, «We close in five minutes what do you need?» Wow! Would never do business with a company with such poor customer service!
As they say, you never get a second chance to make a good impression.

Had worked with Closet Factory in other cities and so scheduled a consultation in San Diego (Encinitas), which was confirmed. When the time for the appointment came and went I called in to check and the person on the phone was so rude that I thanked them and moved on to California Closets. Life is too short.

We’ve used Closet Factory twice for two different homes. The first experience we had was about 5 years ago. They did our media cabinet, library, office, and garage. Our designer Andie was helpful and the installers were very friendly. For our second home we had much more done and had the same designer. Office, garage, pantry, laundry, three closets, media niches, mud room, and entertainment center for the loft. While we were happy with the overall result there were some details that were missed so the install took a few extra days. Any issues that were found afterwards they came back to fix. I’d still recommend them and have recommended them since our second install, but just make sure you check the designs to ensure everything you wanted is taken into account.

The designer scheduled to meet with me showed up for our first meeting 3 hours early and expressed dissatisfaction with the contractor at my house because I wasn’t there. We set up a subsequent appointment and this time she didn’t even show up or bother to call me. 30 minutes after our scheduled time I had to call her and only then found out she was no where near my place and asked to reschedule again.
That level of unprofessionalism TWICE left me questioning the ongoing quality their work so I decided to take my business elsewhere.

We recently had our master bedroom closet done by Closet Factory and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Diane was our designer and she was extremely professional and easy to work with. The finished product went beyond our expectations. We love our closet and the people we’ve shown it to claim to have closet envy. We bid the project out to a few different companies, but Closet Factory’s price was better and we really liked Diane. I highly recommend this company.
