Call Me Beautiful

Just got married this past Saturday and Call Me Beautiful was one of my favorite vendors to work with. In searching for a hair and make-​up artist, I came across the wonderful reviews on Unilocal.After reviewing their packages and browsing their website and Instagram pages, I knew I had to get in touch with Call Me Beautiful. Immediately after reaching out for an inquiry, Lauren (owner) emailed me and we went back and forth with my vision and what I was looking for. Responsiveness is key to me and Lauren was always timely with her replies. I was looking for a hair and make up team from same company… a one stop shop for services. Unfortunately, no CMB make-​up artists were available on my wedding day (6÷11÷16). Lauren was very understanding about my desire for a hair and make up duo. Although she would be able to deliver on one of my needs for services, she did not push at all. I really loved and appreciated Lauren’s honesty and easygoing personality and set up a hair trial. My best friend (matron of honor) accompanied me to my appointment and right from the start, Lauren welcomed us and made us feel very comfortable. I was introduced to my stylist, Tara who was very sweet and easy to talk to. During the trial, I showed pictures of what I was looking for and Tara delivered on my vision. Leaving the trial, I was beyond happy with the outcome of my hair and looked even more forward to my wedding day…
Fast forward two and a half months and it is my wedding day. The day before my wedding, I decided to change my hairstyle a bit. Was a little nervous since my trial hair was different, but Tara did her thing. While doing my hair, she would ask questions and also give recommendations. Final product was better than my original vision and better than the picture I showed her. Thank you Tara for glamming me and my girls up on the most important day of my life. We all LOVED our hairstyles and my husband did as well
Booking Process: This was by far the easiest transaction with all of my vendors. After letting Lauren know how many girls needed their hair done, she sent over a timeline and contract. Upon booking, 20% is due and the remainder of payment is due one month before wedding. Venmo (electronic payment method similar to PayPal) requests were sent by Lauren, which made the transactions super easy. Quick click and payment was deducted from my account and processed. The contracts also already include gratuity charge, which makes things so much easier. I ended up adding two girls after final payment was made and Lauren revised the timeline and again sent over a Venmo request. So easy and seamless!
The timeline was perfectly set. My photographer wanted myself and bridal party all done by 1 PM. Lauren noted this and constructed my timeline accordingly.
Lauren… I can’t thank you enough for all of your help on my wedding day and for linking me and my girls up with Tara. We enjoyed her company and were BEYOND satisfied with our hairstyles. The first bridesmaid had a 6:00 AM appointment and when our event concluded at 11:00 PM, our hairstyles were still intact… all of us.
If you are looking for a professional and honest business along with an easy and seamless process when booking hair and/​or make-​up services, Call Me Beautiful has my vote. Thank you again ladies…

I received a beautiful color and style last week from a lovely and patient girl who I could tell really cared about what she does. I found this salon online and read all the positive reviews so I decided to try them out and I am glad I did. The salon has a pleasant atmosphere as soon as you walk in. I was greeted by the receptionist immediately who took my information and offered me refreshments while I wait for my beautician. It was all an easy-​going, fabulous experience

Call Me Beautiful took care of me and all my girls for my wedding in March at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. They are so SO awesome! Everyone looked beautiful and we loved having the girls as an addition to the bridal suite. So sweet and fun. Thank you so much to Lauren Hiller and her entire team!!!

Call Me Beautiful was awesome! I had 5 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, and 2 flower girls get both their hair and makeup done. Lauren and her team arrived at Maderas Golf Club early and made everyone in my bridal party, including me so beautiful. Everything was so incredibly amazing. Lauren was professional, efficient, and easy to work with. I could not have asked for better hair or makeup artist. I just loved my hair so much and was incredibly happy with my makeup. I had Lauren as my make up artist for a pre-​engagement event and photoshoot on the beach here in San Diego, and it was a pleasure to have her as part of my day! She arrived at my place right on time and we finished on time with my make up which was very important for me to keep all plans on track for the day. It was my first time having full make up done, but she made it very easy and comfortable for me to feel while having make up on. I loved the look and felt comfortable. thank you Lauren!

If you have a wedding or important event coming up and don’t want to worry about your hair and makeup, call this company asap. I had a wonderful experience, and the best part is that it was just so easy. I was having my Walima (South Asian bridal event) in San Diego, and I can be very picky about my hair and makeup. I sent my specifications to Lauren ahead of time, and everything could not have gone more smoothly.
My makeup artist showed up to my hotel room on time and was very pleasant and professional. She did exactly what I wanted, but even better than my expectations. She was extremely talented, and her motor skills were on point. Not one crooked line or any unevenness at all. My pictures turned out amazing, and I didn’t have to worry about my hair or makeup the whole night.

Call me Beautiful is heaven sent. As a business owner, Lauren is very professional, responsive, responsible, and reasonable. As a makeup artist, she is unbelievably talented and a true artist. I had no idea what look I wanted for my wedding and she helped consult me and guide me to the perfect look! I wanted to treat my bridesmaids and mom to hair or makeup, and having 10 bridesmaids, Lauren carefully and professionally mapped out a plan of attack for successfull execution. I am a very indecisive bride and Lauren made me feel calm, same, and beautiful day of. Erika and Savannah did our hair and they did it Perfectly! Everything was absolutely beautiful! During my hair and makeup trial, they conveniently met at my house in Chula Vista (very far from them up north). When I decided I wanted a different hair style, Erika met me at my new house and she was very a accomadating and professional. It was the best experience! I think Lauren could dabble in wedding coordinating, she’s that organized and on top of it. I recommend Call Me Beautiful to every bride!

Call Me Beautiful did a wonderful job for hair and makeup at my wedding in San Diego in October. From the very beginning of the process, Lauren was excellent at communicating and super organized. All of her stylists were really nice and friendly. It was such a treat to not have to worry about anything with hair and makeup for the day of the wedding because Lauren had put together a very specific schedule for hair and makeup for me and my bridal party. The day of my wedding we had 2 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists for 9 girls (including flower girls). Our hair and makeup artists really listened to what type of style my Bridesmaids wanted and they had some creative suggestions as well. Most importantly, we were able to have fun with the stylists because we didn’t feel like we were rushing. Thank you SO much Lauren and Call Me Beautiful for being a great part of my wedding team.

Call Me Beautiful created timeless looks under an affordable price, came early to our hotel room, all while still maintaining the professional and outstanding service. Lauren used high quality makeup products that were long-​lasting, even with all of our wild dancing throughout the night! Hiring Call me beautiful for my wedding day makeup was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! Katy was the make-​up artist that did our bridal party make-​up, and she was absolutely wonderful! She showed up early to ever appointment, was very kind and knowledgeable with her craft! I had such a great experience working with her and would highly recommend her to anyone! I danced the whole night at my wedding and my makeup lasted all night long, I had her use airbrush on my which I highly recommend if you want to look flawless!

I had the pleasure of both working alongside Lauren as another vendor in the bridal suite (I am a florist!) AND being treated to makeup as a bridesmaid. She was punctual, professional, and made all the girls feel at ease. She worked directly with the bride and each of us to customize our makeup and hair, and we all felt glamorous and beautiful! I loved my natural makeup and it lasted well into the long day and party! From a vendor’s perspective, Lauren was hard working, had great timing (we had a large bridal party) and made sure to check in with the bride and cleaned up well before she left. She is a people person and very talented and it was fun to connect with her. I highly recommend her company for your wedding or event hair and makeup!

The CMB team is fantastic! They did my hair and make-​up as well as that of 6 other people. We had an early wedding (10:30 AM) so we had a very early start time for our hair and makeup stylists. They were scheduled to start at 6:30 but arrived early at 6:00 to get a jump start (and thank goodness they did!). We had two make-​up artists and two hair stylists. They did a beautiful job. To be honest, getting my hair done was the #1 thing I was stressed out about, since I never like my hair styled. I have curly hair and most people want to straighten it to style it (and artificially add curls back in). I dislike this approach because I feel like that doesn’t look like me. I let CMB know this and they did a great job giving me a natural and loose/​relaxed look with my own curls! We planned a destination wedding in San Diego, and CMB was very flexible about the trial. We had my hair/​make-​up trial on a Friday (since I got into town that Thursday), and the wedding was one day later on Saturday. They worked well on a tight time-​line. I LOVED MY HAIR STYLE. I am hard to please, as I didn’t want anything that looked to tight, or prom-​like. CMB nailed it, first try. My makeup artist even went out after my trial and bought me my own lipstick in the color we used during the trial so that on the wedding day I would have it for touch-​ups. She went out of her way to do this and it was so sweet. One less thing I had to worry about. This team is fantastic. We all looked beautiful! They are a bit more expensive than other services but they came to us and did a great job! Thanks!

Choosing Call Me Beautiful for hair and makeup services for my wedding was the best decision I think I could have made. Lauren was on top of EVERYTHING from the second we started working together. As a bride, it is difficult to keep track or everything for the big day and I kept forgetting that I needed to organize the girls and figure out what I wanted for everyone including myself. Lauren was able to keep me on track and let me know what I needed to bring and when, including what I wanted for the trial, for the wedding… she spent extra time with me at the trial making it PERFECT and making sure I was satisfied with the look. On the big day, she arrived early (which was such a relief considering most vendors tend to show up late!) and really made sure the day flowed smoothly. She was there for me from beginning to end making sure I was happy with every single girl’s look and we could not have been more happy with the outcome! Every single bridesmaid looked SOOOO STUNNING!!! People… her work is so good, that my wedding hair and makeup was featured in a bridal magazine… if that doesn’t tell you how absolutely amazing her work is, I don’t know what does! She was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, easy to talk to, quick to respond to e-​mails and texts and calls and the finished product was better than I could have ever imagined. You will be kicking yourself in the butt if you don’t choose Call Me Beautiful for your next event needing hair and makeup. I am blown away by the entire company and Lauren in particular. SUCH a wonderful experience, I feel truly blessed and lucky to have used Lauren and Call Me Beautiful for such an important event!

WOW WOW WOW!!! If I could give Lauren & her team 10 stars I would. Our daughter was married this past Sunday and this was the most amazing team of artists I have ever seen. Everyone at the wedding was just blown away with how amazing the hair and make up were for the wedding!!! They are not only talented but very professional and I HIGHLY recommend them!!! They took 20 years off this mother of the bride and I couldn’t be more thrilled, as was the bride!!! THE BEST!!!

I have gotten my hair and makeup done a few times for weddings and have always been disappointed however this past weekend when Call Me Beautiful’s makeup/​hair team got everyone ready it was honestly the first time that I was beyond ecstatic with how my hair and makeup turned out. It was the first wedding I’ve been in where literally EVERY single girl not only liked but LOVED the way their hair and makeup turned out. It was such a fantastic experience and Call Me Beautiful made the getting ready process easy and enjoyable. Not only did everyone look amazing but we are all on time too!!! I have never been able to say that for a wedding party. Lauren made sure that there was ample time for the girls to get ready and everything was planned ahead of time which took out all of the stress and worry. I stood up in my friend’s wedding recently and I was blown away by the incredible job Lauren and her team did. My makeup has never looked so good. I told Lauren what I was envisioning and she was able to create the exact look I wanted. Truthfully, I went into this experience feeling pretty apprehensive, as I have had some less than stellar bridesmaid makeovers before, but Lauren quelled my insecurities with her easy going/​friendly personality and flawless technique.
Pros-​Call Me Beautiful works miracles. Lauren is professional and does fantastic work.
