Business Owner

Bruce Kaylor has been in the construction industry all his life, growing up around home building and specializing in stairwells and roof framing at a very early age. Bruce now is a forensic specialist and can analyze and assess any home with precision.

Bruce provided more than 100 homeowners total-​loss assessments during the 2003 San Diego Ceder wildfires.

Bruce has a strong and dedicated team of sub-​contractors that can supply any client with a variety of solutions to the many diverse situations that arise during a project.

Bruce believes in hands-​on attention and visits sites and communicates with clients on a consistent basis.

I’m very sorry that I have to give such a bad review on this company. I have built whole new house with Bruce and Michael, so I know these guys better than anyone. The business model for this company is flawed in that they want customer to take most responsibility while they take all the benefit that general contractor enjoys, such as lead fee and commission etc. Whenever something wrong when I moved in and call them for a fix, they just keep trying to get away not taking any responsibility until they are forced to do it. Most recent case is the water heater. The heater is installed less than a year by this company, and is out of order now producing no hot water, and all I was told is to ask manufacturer or talk to other plumber. This is just one incidence. They still have not completed their punch list yet even after almost one year since I moved in. I really wish that I can work with this guys and make happy ending, but I’m sorry that I’m considering now to report this company to CA license board for further investigation on their excercise of contract business. When my wife and I bought our house in Poway, we never had previous experience in such a big renovation and rehabilitation project.
A friend of mine recommended me five contractors, one of them was Assist U2 Build.
Bruce Kaylor was the first to respond, he came to the house and took note of all we wanted to change, he measured everything, recorded all our wishes and the most important thing, he listened to us.
None of the rest of contractors showed the interest Bruce did from day one so we decided to go with Assist U2 Build.
His proposal was detailed and easy to understand. He did not miss a thing we wanted to change.
Assist U2 Build provided an exceptional work, they were fast even when we changed our minds from one day to another, they made our rehabilitation dream a reality.
Bruce was always there responding our questions. He provided details for every single item, he showed professionalism and trust every day.
We really appreciate what Assist U2 Build did for us and will contract them in any other work we will do in the future.
