Dr. Jey performed a gum surgery on my teeth last week. My overall experience was very pleasant. The Dr. was super friendly and attentive to my needs. He took his time with the anesthesia so it was essentially pain free. The entire procedure was smooth, and I’m very happy with the results. The office staff was also very friendly and efficient.

I am so grateful for Dr. Akef! I was referred to Dr. Akef for gum recession on six upper teeth in the front of my mouth! I was very nervous about the recession, which was caused by aggressive brushing and heredity! He was very professional, kind, and informative about my surgery options. The office staff was friendly and relaxed. My surgery went smoothly and I am so pleased with the results! I would recommend Dr. Akef for your dental needs and will definitely going back in the future for my dental needs. Thank you Dr. Jay Akef and staff for making me smile again and I am grateful for you all! Happy Thanksgiving!

Dr Akef saved my smile. he is pleasant, professional and truly cared about my case .he did gum surgeries and bone grafting. to save my teeth. i did not need as many implants as I thought I would. the cost of whole treatment plan lowered .the equipments and methods used were impressive. they took my own blood and centrifuged them get good parts out and used that to do the bone graft. I specially like Yadira who is Dr Akef’s right hand. she is so kind and attentive to make me feel at ease, also special thanks to Dr Naguyen for doing all the general dentistry treatment that she has done for me. the other staff are really friendly as well. I believe they have been doing it so long and have seen so many cases done by Dr Akef to have so much confidence about cases going well.

I had gone through some tough times with my wisdom teeth causing pain and extreme sensitivity with gum recession. Dr. Akaf obtained the necessary information for the areas of concern by taking x-rays, CAT scan, and photos. Then he explained the condition and all the treatment options. He mentioned that there is a newer technique for treating gum recession called: «pinhole technique». I’ve decided to try the new technique and I have to say that I really liked it since there was practically no cutting involved. My recession was corrected with a very small hole that repairs itself in a day or so. I’m very happy with the result & I highly recommend Dr. Akef. I will definitely go to him for all my dental needs.

I’ve been going to Dr. Akef for years now. Whenever I need to go to the dentist for either a routine visit or to fix some problem, I always feel safe with his level of care and trust that he’ll be very thorough. I used to eat a lot of sweets(I was a sugar fiend. What can I say?!?) and as a result I got a number of cavities but when I went to get them filled and crowned at Dr. Akef’s office, I felt really comfortable during and after the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Akef!

I have been coming to this office for over 5 years. Dr. Akef has completed several extensive procedures for me. I get my teeth cleaned regularly by staff at his office also. Never had complications or emergency needs. He takes care of me well. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an expert to take care of their dental needs.

The absolute worst. I was sent to Dr. Akef by my regular dentist to be checked for gum disease. I arrived at Dr. Akef’s office and waited for 30 minutes. I was finally seated in a chair looking out a window that has not been washed in YEARS. He came in and complained to me about all the emergencies in his office that morning — in fact that was all he talked about during the 4 minutes I was in his office. He was clearly distracted and harried about his office emergencies, and unable to concentrate or spend time examining me properly. His assistant then came in and x-rayed the wrong tooth Dr. Akef wanted to examine. He complained to her about this and I had to wait while she x-rayed the right tooth. He came back in, glanced at the x-ray, glanced inside my mouth and said, «You need surgery. When we hear back from the insurance company, we’ll call you.» He left the room. I asked his assistant if he was going to look at the rest of my teeth or if that was it. «That was it,» she said, «We’ll call you.» I phoned back later in the day to express my anxiety about the fact that the doctor never really examined me at all, only x-rayed one tooth and never even looked at the rest of my teeth, as requested by my regular dentist. The receptionist told me they’d put a note in my file and call me later. They never called. I received a letter from my insurance company that was a copy of the letter sent to Dr. Akef, approving the procedure. I waited and waited for a call from Dr. Akef. One month later, I got a bill from them for $ 70. No follow-up call. No call scheduling the approved work. Nothing. Just a bill. That’s how much they care about their patients.
