I was referred to Dr Akef, for implants and treatments after a major car accident. I am very happy with the results and his care. I highly recommend him. He also took care of my husband’s injuries after the accident well. I have to say I am not an easy patient and he is so patient!!! thank you Dr Akef.

Initially I was referred to Dr. Akef by me Dentist for a major gum issue I was having. But after having an amazing experience with my gum treatments, I decided to transfer all of my files from my previous Dentist to Dr. Akef’s office, «De Anza Dentistry».
The staff is great, they are very professional, experienced, and caring. They are extremely easy to work with since my work schedule is very demanding, they were very flexible on giving me the appointments that would not effect my work schedule.
I would highly recommend De Anza Dentistry to everyone, which I have already referred them to all my friends and family.

I had an issue with my tooth and was referred to Dr. Akef by my primary care dentist. Since then, I have been using his services. He did two implants for me, as well as removed my wisdom teeth. I also come to his office to do annual check up and cleaning. Dr. Akef is very knowledgeable, professional and provides a great quality service. I trust him completely and highly recommend him to anyone.

Had gum surgery and a crown at this office and both have been problematic for a year. Went to my previous dentist and they cleaned things up and I am slowly recovering from his unnecessary, shoddy work. My previous dentist does not think I needed any of the $ 1,000+ dental work that was done by Dr Akef. Would NEVER recommend him and will NEVER go back to this office.

I have absolutely no idea how this establishment can have 5 stars.
The front office have been the worst. They had to reschedule mine and my husband’s appointments 3 times. When I initially booked the appointment, they first appt was about a month away because we were «new patients». A week before our appointment, they called to reschedule us, and that got messed up twice.
When I finally got to my appointment, it took them another 20 mins to check me in because they couldn’t find my «file». Since I was late getting sent to the back, the doctor wouldn’t do my cleaning because she was obviously not going to go over her clock. Btw, she was a pretty condescending doctor as well. Just because I was born in the states, she said, «you probably don’t speak Vietnamese huh» actually, I do. But thanks.
I had to get a wisdom teeth extraction and had two insurances. They said it would take a few weeks to get the numbers together. Ok fine. I get a call back saying they sent me the treatment plan, no email. I called again asking them to resend, still no email. I called AGAIN. And made them stay on the phone with me until it was sent, I finally got it.
they tried to charge me over 1200 for my extractions even with my dual insurance!!!
Luckily, I didn’t want to deal with them anymore at that point.
Went to a wayyyyyy nicer dental office today, my treatment plan was $ 250 for all four of my wisdom teeth extraction with my insurance.
Save yourself the hassle AND your money and go to a different dentist.

I was referred to this periodontist by my dentist to correct a gum issue I was having. Any time you go in to see a specialist you assume it will be expensive and the specialist will just get you in and out with just spending the minimal amount of time with you. I was surprised to find that the opposite was true. The prices were fair compared to other periodontists and the Dr took plenty of time to make sure I understood the process.

I had implants done by another surgeon than Dr Akef a few years back. six of them were filing by developing gum disease. Dr Akef presented the options of extracting them or do bone grafting to save them, I chose latter and it is working out. the environment at the office was friendly and all the financial aspect presented to me in advance and I must say that they were quite reasonable. they are quite experienced on what they are doing .
I highly recommend Dr Akef to anyone looking for new dentist.

This clinic has a great Dr. and a great staff, what more can I say. Well, listen to this, I have been a patient of Dr Akef for the past five years. When I was first recommend to Dr. Akef I was not aware of the condition my teeth were in. Issues with my teeth were a result of years of neglect. Over the years I had lost a lot of my teeth. I had shrinking gums. I had gone through several partial and full dentures from numerous dentist. I was never satisfied with the work done on my teeth. However, with the help of Dr. Akef, I became aware of issues related to my teeth. Together we worked on a plan of action that would lead to a healthy mouth to include the ability to have a fully functional set of teeth.
After 11 transplants, numerous bone grafts, and shaving of the jaw bone, I now have the teeth that I have always wanted. I can now give a big smile and eat anything I would like too.
Thanks to Dr. Akef, and his staff who have been very nice and accommodating throughout the years. If it was not for their professionalism and support I would not have been able to see my dreams come true.

My husband and I both purchased a groupon for cleaning, X-​rays, and exam. I get that dental offices take advantage of groupon type deals to acquire new long term customers, and hey, can’t pass up a great deal! Here’s why I won’t be going back:
When initially trying to book, I called and there was no answer so I sent an email, which was never responded to. I figured they were swamped with the groupon rush so I gave them a few more weeks before trying again to book. Finally got in!
The office is pretty, but average, nothing that sets them apart from the average dental office, in my opinion. It was a great deal for a groupon but long term, I’d rather go somewhere that prides them self on creating a really welcoming and relaxing spa like experience. (If you’ve never experienced this before at a dental office, you must! It makes it so much better.
I will say the lady at the counter was friendly upon walking in. The dental assistant was filling in for their regular assistant and didn’t know her way around, and I sensed the frustration from the dentist which made me uncomfortable. While receiving X-​rays, I had 4 different people trying to figure out how the X-​ray machine worked. This made me feel like a body rather than a person and made me feel a bit uneasy. It was almost as if I wasn’t even there as they talked to each other about how to work it.
Unfortunately, I smelled cigarette smoke from either the DA or the dentist while they worked on me which is surprising and made the experience uncomfortable.
All in all, they were friendly, and got the job done. The female dentist that was working that day (forget her name) educated me on the health of my teeth, and I appreciated her taking the time to explain things. I see things from a business perspective and I think if more dentists realized how awful it already is for most people to visit the dentist, they would take every opportunity to turn it into a relaxing, pleasant experience.

Been going to Dr. Akef for quite a few years now as he performed all my surgery for my new and beautiful teeth which I love. I can eat whatever I want and have a great smile, Thanks Doc
