I needed some curtains hemmed in a pinch and Delores saved the day! Well worth the drive from Lincoln to Sacramento.

Dolores is a pro. If you need curtains or shades made at a great price, she is your woman. I had huge windows to cover. The price quote from Calico Corners was $ 1700! I bought fabric online, and Dolores charged $ 175 to make the curtains. Amazing… I really think she should charge more, actually. I also had to buy custom curtain rods – she charged slightly above wholesale price. I think she does some reupholstering, too.
Her workshop is in an area full of auto repair shops. Her workshop is in the very back.
One surprising thing was that the first area of the workshop is a bit of a mess. She keeps the door open in the summer because of the heat, and there are about a dozen feral cats who live around her shop. Some of them go into the first area and you can smell them. She keeps them out of her workshop, but the cat smell is kind of strong.
I have gone back to her three times, and I’ve always been satisfied. There is no one cheaper around! And she is so friendly and patient. She answers question upon question.
