Bistro Miyoda & Sushi Ichiriki

We usually order take out from Yanagi and its hit or miss. So tonight decided to try something closer to our house hoping to get a new favorite for take out !!! No chance. We ordered a few items Loved the spicy tuna hand roll but the buck stopped there. Albacore was fishy and not fresh. Same with eel roll. Huge disappointment !! Waste of 36 $ ! Don’t think I will be a return customer

Owner reached out to me was so nice gave me full refund of my dinner and then also sent me a 50 $ gift card to try them out again. So today my hubby and I went for lunch –no take out this time. Ordered an eel handroll, tuna jalapeño sashimi, albacore with fried onions sashimi and the Chilean sea bass appetizer … Now please
Keep in mind I wanted to love this place so badly because of how gracious owner was and I even contemplated lying in my update review. Ultimately I had to tell the truth. Here we go … Chilean sea bass — the worst, frozen overcooked and a mushy salty yellow wanna be miso paste on top. Was horrible. Good sea bass will melt in your mouth… Not this one. Next the eel hand roll, fishy and way to much sauce on it. The albacore was also fishy, onions and garlic yummy on top. In the albacore they gave me two pieces that were the scale end like grey piece — which I have never tasted before. My hubby said u would never get that in a high end or even mid end sushi place it’s the junk no one wants to eat. He was right. Tastes like fish scale. The tuna was good but not worth going back for just if you compared it to everything else we ate sauce on tuna was yummy, tuna itself old !! I felt horrible but just happy I didn’t spend my own money. I will not be coming back again. Thanks Jessica you were supper gracious and kind to write me and extend another invite to me but your fish needs to be fresh especially with sushi. Thanks

Excellent sushi at this restaurant. The fish is very fresh. One dish in particular stood out, try the appetizer Butter Fish… Very light and fresh but the flavor was deep. I encourage everyone to try it.
The regular sushi rolls were good and consistent. Service was excellent and very accommodating for a family with 2 kids.
Will be back.

The minimum order is $ 25. The food was delivered in about 30 minutes. It came with chopsticks. I appreciated that after experiencing deliveries without utensils. The food was good. The fish was fresh, which is critical.

I’m glad that we didn’t read all the reviews about delivery prior to placing out delivery order last night. A friend and I were enjoying a nice night in with wine and cheese and other little finger foods but realized we wanted something substantial to satiate us. We found sushi delivery.
Now I’m a pretty picky sushi goer and was a little tentative about ordering it online from a place I’ve never been to before and that it could potentially be sitting in a car for an hour and a half just chillin’ (no pun intended). But with a glass of wine down the pipe, I was more willing to give it a shot. We ordered the rainbow roll ($ 11.25), Philadelphia roll ($ 6.99), yellowtail cut roll ($ 6.25), spicy tuna roll ($ 11.25) and two miso soups ($ 2.00 each).
We had an estimated wait time of 45 – 60 minutes which was fine as we had some munchies to tide us over. When the food arrived, an hour after our order, I signed and my friend reviewed the goods. We were missing a miso so I ran outside after our delivery guy. He was pleasant about it and called his boss. We were refunded $ 2 for one miso. Probably good in retrospect as this was way too much food for us to finish.
We dug into the sushi. Wow this is a winner. The rainbow roll could not have been fresher. Each cut was delicious. The spicy tuna roll was Actually spicy which I liked since they never are. The yellowtail roll was decent but I wouldn’t order it again. I cannot objectively rule on the Philadelphia roll as I don’t like raw salmon but my friend loved it.
All and all, this is an absolute repeat sushi place for delivery and I might even try the restaurant now!

Came to Bistro Miyoda for dinner. Ordered the Sashimi plate along with butter chicken for appetizer and a rainbow roll. That was definitely enough food for two people. The dishes were tasty and the sashimi was fresh! Overall, the fish was pretty good quality. Service was good as well. All in all, Bistro Miyoda is a good spot if you are craving sushi.
