Pine Property Management

A Con job company is the most suitable term for this company. I have good enough proofs to sue them and its going to come down soon. Very unprofessional, no honesty, no integrity and the worst company in California.

I’m updating from a previous review. I lived in an old unit. There was some mold and things breaking. They let anyone move in, that’s the problem! We had teens move in upstairs that partied all the time. Did drugs etc. Flipped me off, called me names and did vulgar things. I complained twice, twice! They said it would be taken care of. Never was. So I moved out with out notice. They called, I didn’t answer. Left my key with a note in the drop box and never looked back. I’ll Never ever ever rent from them!!!
Mold. Roaches. Doors falling off hinges. Oven lights not working. Water damage under sink. Rust in medicine cabinet. Broken blinds. Etc… It needs to be burned and re done. Main st apartments Shasta lake.
By the way. I moved out two days ago. Its already up for rent and they upped the rent (WITH OLD PICS FROM 2009 – 2012, THOSE AREN’T THE PICS OF #4) to $ 485. Its suppose to be $ 465. They also upped the deposit from $ 500 to $ 600. They also upped the credit check… Which they don’t do. I handed them the money for the credit check, lady looked at me and said okay your pay stubs look good so when do you want to move in? They take your money for that.
On that property you have a druggie who I’m almost sure sells drugs. You have a man who said he murdered someone and is always drunk between the hours of 1am-​7am… He comes on the porch and screams to the sky saying «ma come get me» There are some quiet nice people but the bad ones ruin it all. Police there all the time, breaking doors down and holding guns to people’s heads. Fighting couples throwing things and screaming. Just save yourself and don’t move here. Pay an extra $ 100-​$ 150 and get something a but better. I don’t know the owner. Met her once. Linda Green? Everyone says she’s crooked.

These people are unprofessional, impulsive, assuming, prejudice, and untrustworthy. If you rent from them, you WILL get screwed.
3 weeks into getting an apartment with 3 other room mates, we’re at the doorstep of a neighbor’s apartment chatting, being friendly neighbors, and one of THEIR room mates (whom we haven’t even met yet) lights off a couple fire crackers in a bush next to us to try and scare us. Now, even though we’re all pushing 30, we all look like young white college kids. You could easily stereotype us, as many in this situation did, to say that we look like dumb kids that want to play pranks and light off fire crackers at night. So a few minutes later, we walk home, nobody comes and talks to us, nobody complains. 3 days later, taped on our door is a notice of termination of tenancy. We call the office, and they’re terminating us for a noise violation, from the fire crackers. Naturally we tell them what happened, that it wasn’t us, but it happened TO us… they say they have a couple «witnesses» (various neighbors in the culdesac) who said WE lit off the fire crackers. We laughed. I could see how it would APPEAR like we were the ones that did it… but nobody really sees something like this happen, you HEAR it, and THEN you look out the window… and naturally when you see a few young-​looking white guys walking home from where fire crackers were just lit off… THE DETECTIVE WORK IS UNDENIABLE! Must have been us. (That’s called stereotyping and being prejudice by the way)
So anyways, the Pine lady doesn’t even care if it was us or not, SHE SAID THAT! I said, so you’re telling me that it doesn’t matter if it was us or not, she said no it doesn’t… and I said even if I get the guys who actually lit them off to come and tell it to your face that they did it and not us, it doesn’t matter?! No. It didn’t matter, she wanted us gone. Baffled! Speechless! I’m just glad she’s not a judge, throwing victims of crimes into jail.
I know it’s not legal for them to throw us out, and we could fight it, and we had numerous family members and friends tell us to fight them and hold them responsible, but I by NO MEANS WHATSOEVER want to be renting from these people. I just want to get the hell out of here asap and never have to deal with them again. She even had the audacity to say that she has a house at a different location that we could rent from! WHAT? This lady is out of her mind. So wait, you would kick us out, for something we didn’t do, without warning, and rent us a new place? Thanks for your «courtesy» lady, but you can shove it up your ass. I didn’t say that, but I should have. On the way out the door she said to me, with that sarcastic-​condecending-​aww-​poor-​you look on her face, «don’t worry, It’s not that bad» …the only thing that got me out the door without saying anything was self-​control.
I find out later as I’m posting this whole story to facebook to let people know that I have to find a new place to live, all these other people are like «YEA! They screwed us too!» …“Pine Management! I rented from them last year and they tried to keep my whole deposit for no reasons!” All these people, telling us their nightmare stories with this ridiculous company. THEN, in looking for a new place to live, we see people posting on craigslist «DON’T RENT FROM PINE MANAGEMENT!»
I can’t believe these people are still in business. We’re not out yet, but I have a feeling when that when we leave, they’ll try to find every tiny reason to squeeze out as much of our deposit money as possible. It’s BRILLIANT actually. 1) Get someone to hand you $ 1,100 dollars. 2) Find any reason at all to kick them out regardless if it’s their fault or not. 3) Find any reason possible to keep as much deposit money as possible. 4) Hire big lawyers (that tenants can’t afford) to intimidate them. 5) Laugh all the way to the bank.
If you read this Linda, you’re better than this. I actually believe you’re capable of having integrity and honor. But if you keep doing this to people, it eventually will come back to bite you in the ass. I promise.

Pine Property has consistently shown an undeniable and unbelievable lack of caring and general decency towards us. We rented a house from them, from which they then took 90% of our deposit to proceed to destroy a beautiful landscape and backyard garden planted and curated by the actual homeowners and us, the renters. In the garden were lovely annual flowers, two kinds of potatoes, four kinds of tomatoes, rosemary, cilantro, strawberries, mint, onions, and artichokes. They proceeded to destroy these edible and beautiful plants and charge us for it.
Upon moving out of the house to a smaller townhouse, our deposit was held for over a month, and then used for questionable and unneeded «work» on the house. SOME parts of the deposit were warranted for use for some scuffs in paint and carpet cleaning (usual things), but destroying the actual homeowners garden, which we tended to for months, is unbelievable. The landscaping company Linda (the manager) hired to complete this work wasn’t even payed for the work even when they invoiced the property company, and then asked ME to cover the cost. I naturally refused. I still don’t know if they have been payed.
In the new townhouse, the condition was fair at best. There was no sign of roaches upon initial walkthrough and inspection, but upon moving in, the infestation became readily apparent. When asked to remedy this problem, Pine Property sent over a gentleman from Shelby’s Pest Control, who legitimately wants to help. I have been corresponding with him in the effort to spray and/​or bug bomb the entire building to nip the problem in the bud, but Pine consistently shows no desire to have this happen, and no motivation to fix the issue. I have called, written letters, and spoken to Linda in person in the office (who even took my rent money and INSISTED that the problem would be solved asap), and STILL there has not been a single effort to move this forward.
These people are incompetent and don’t give a flying, raging care in the world about anyone but themselves and their nepotism.
Avoid at all costs.

This company is beyond horrible. I rented from them years ago and the staff was so rude, and treated their tenants like crap, took pretty much my entire deposit for crap they say wasnt cleaned like the freakin dust in the tracks in the windows, and I told myself I would never rent from them again. Well, I was with Tuscan Sun Property Management and Pine Property ended up taking over and guess what happened again… they took almost the entire thing! I am so pissed at this place. Our place wasnt even ready for us to move in as it was, then they go and pull this. And the pictures are pathetic, especially when in some you cant even see what the hell they are charging you for! Please! I will make sure to tell everyone I know to spread the word about you guys. Horrible people. horrible business!!!

A tip? Don’t even bother. Linda, the property manager, runs the most unprofessional business. She will not give you the time of day. Got a complaint from a former tenant did not bother to check out situation herself but gave a 30 day notice and not to mention lying about what the complaint was. Very unreasonable, rude, and most of all unprofessional. Would not recommend this property management to anybody.
