Brian assisted my husband and I with our relocation to West Linn from Long Beach, CA. From the first conversation we had with Brian we knew he was the Realtor that would help find us our home in Oregon. He was very professional, knowledgeable and patient and within our four day visit helped us purchase our new home in West Linn. We first met Theresa when we were visiting Portland, preparing for a move from the east coast. It was clear that she was knowledgeable about the neighborhoods, the housing market, and all the things you need and expect from your agent. Equally important, she also seemed to be completely dedicated to helping us find the right home in the right place.
Months before we moved she was sending us listings and even scoping out houses we were particularly interested in. When we finally arrived, our sole task was finding a place to live. We were desperate and it seemed like it was Theresa’s only task too. Of course she had other clients, but it never felt that way. She always made time for us.
When we finally settled on the home we wanted, Theresa gave us a little piece of advice that we were resistant to do, but we listened. That advice got us under contract fast. In fact, the sellers liked our offer so much (thanks to Theresa) that they accepted it even though they knew other offers were going to be coming in.
Of course, once you are under contract there always seems be other stressful setbacks, a little drama, and a handful of problems that seem insurmountable. Theresa helped us navigate all those things, she talked us down when we were going crazy, and (again) she was there every step of the way.
Theresa went above and beyond for us. We wouldn’t consider using any another agent.

This past summer, we were looking to simultaneously buy and sell a home and were introduced to Brian & Theresa through a mutual friend. Our experience working with them could not have been better.
On the selling side, Brian & Theresa provided market comparables and straightforward feedback surrounding the staging of our home. Following their advice, our home sold within days of coming to market!
On the buying side, they actively listened to all of our needs and quickly learned our tastes in homes and locations. Throughout the search, they maintained open communication and were accommodating to our schedules, including some spur of the moment requests for showings.
Ultimately, with their help, we were able to arrange the closing of our sale just prior to the closing of our purchase. What could have been a stressful ordeal was made much less so by their care and their experience in real estate.

Having known Theresa and Brian for ages they were who I turned to when buying my first home a little over two years ago.
Theresa was incredibly patient as we slogged through the dregs of Portland real estate that my tight budget would allow. And when the perfect home was finally found she helped negotiate my first real estate transaction with ease.
Fast forward two years and my new husband and I decide to take advantage of the rebounding real estate market and put his townhouse, and the little house I purchased through Theresa, on the market and purchase a new — forever home. All within the span of three months.
Theresa found the best comps and helped us price each house accordingly and, under her guidance, the townhouse sold in less than a month and the little house in five days!

I worked with Brian Spear to find a house in Portland. I rented in the Wilshire area and walked by his office on Freemont, called him on the phone and immediately felt comfortable dealing with him. The entire process took 9 months start to finish.
Brian took the time to know me as a person and thus knew what kind of home would work for me. He was always efficient and I never felt like he was wasting my time looking at properties that were of no interest. He kept me completely apprised of the current market conditions and while I know I wasn’t his only client he sure made me feel like it.
I could not be more pleased with the experience that I had with Brian and I highly recommend him if you are in the market to buy or sell a house.

We were introduced to Theresa and Brian through good friends and couldn’t have gotten a better recommendation. Of course, we were dream clients, that goes without saying, but they made property buying from out of town super easy. (They do help people in town too!)
Theresa was super responsive and available when we needed her, and their Docu-​sign documents were handy so we could complete everything online from another town and expedite the process. What could have been a big headache with a bank-​owned property was almost effortless with Theresa’s help. She was always there for us with answers to our questions, she had great sympathy when the process slowed on the bank’s end, and her thoughtful gestures along the way were much appreciated.
While I don’t ever want to grow out of the great place we got, at least I’ll know we’ll be in good hands if we eventually need something bigger.

These guys restored my faith in the Real Estate trade.
My wife and I were possibly one of the most difficult clients. We were trying to buy from out of town, and only available to view properties once every couple of months over a weekend. Both of us are very picky and control freaks.
Theresa and Brian not only flexed their schedule, but actually went out of their way to accommodate us on each visit to Portland. Between them, they would spend an entire day — sometimes more — with us. In total, they showed us over a hundred properties before we settled on the place which we now call home and love!
Throughout this process they had the patience of saints, always showing good humor whilst chauffeuring us all over town for six-​hour days. They even gifted me a huge poster-​size map of Portland on our first meeting!
Their knowledge of the Portland property market is impeccable. And again, they showed great patience as they basically did all the work in managing the bid/​offer process on a couple of houses. Theresa and Brian provided solid advice throughout the bid/​offer process each time, ensuring we did not overpay when we got into a bidding war on the first property. All this from hundreds of miles away. We ended up with a better property at a lower price.
They were never pushy about any property and very quickly learned what types of property we were looking for — even though this spanned various styles and areas –carefully filtering property details before suggesting them to us (saving us time and frustration).
The icing on the cake was the wonderful welcome when we finally moved into our new home — a champagne reception, wonderful snacks, and maps and magazines to help us get acquainted. What a welcome. I’m not sure we could have done it without them.
Real professionals in a sea of sharks. I recommend them very highly (literally — we now refer our friends to Theresa and Brian whenever the need for a Realtor arises).
