nice place, needs, more staff and supply, some times black boba is not available and they will offer you pink boba and taste very different, but overall good place and could be better.

I’ve enjoyed all the drinks I’ve ordered there so far. Parking is a bit of a hassle though.

Places like these are throwbacks for me to my college days. Ahhh the nostalgia. At UCSD there was Tapioca Express and now here for PCC there is Tea Spots! Much like other boba tea shops of this genre, they are pretty standard with what they offer when it comes to food and drinks. However, the food here is much better than the average tea shop. First time coming in I was expecting some pretty mediocre food but was pleasantly surprised. The chicken curry was on special so it was like $ 7 with a tea drink which is a pretty good deal imo. It tasted like the japanese-style curry, being more on the sweeter and smokey side but it was good. I also tried the shrimp wonton noodle soup and that was actually AMAZING. This soup had tons of flavor and I’m surprised people don’t order it more. I would definitely come back just for this soup! It’s that good! All the teas I’ve tried have been pretty good but nothing too special about them. The taro smoothie is good! P. S. Like other tea shops catering to the student crowd, they offer free wifi for customers and it seems to be a pretty decent place to study for the kids. Cheers!

I go to this place a lot. Reasonable price. Good food. Good service. Parking can suck but it’s only cuz it’s the best place in the shopping center. Today they put my hot curry container togo on top of my soup. It was so hot it melted through the lid and when I got home, the curry bowl fell through the soup lid! Huge mess. At the same time my daughter put our drinks down not so gently and the cups in the bag cracked and another mess! Called them up and they immediately made a new order and I picked it up. No question.

I usually come here to get the Daily Special… which with my luck it always happens to be Chicken Curry Rice or Popcorn Chicken with Rice. It’s $ 7 and it comes with a drink(black, green or oolong tea) and I always get the black tea. The green tea is too sweet for my liking. The curry is pretty good. Soft potatoes and carrots, with a good amount of chicken thigh meat. It fills me up pretty good and the taste is decent. I mean don’t be expecting gourmet meals here, but for the value its good. Service is decent, its not the fastest — you’d think they’d have a huge thing of curry in the back and ready to go, but maybe they do slowly heat it up for you. They take debit I think and have a minimum charge for credit. Call ahead if you want your order quicker. The parking lot is tiny, but if you come during off peak hours, you should be able to find one of the very tiny spots.

Got a free boba from Tea Spots through the postmates app. Everything was good! Until I got half way through my drink and was stirring the boba and found a hair in my drink… I’m bald.

I ordered 3 popcorn chicken lunch combos and they decided to give me all of them with a piece of breaded chicken breast. I made it clear that I wanted POPCORN chicken. On top of that I found a long piece of hair inside of my sealed green tea and came to realization when I was half way thru!(not cool)

The people who work here are exceedingly nice given the frenetic pace in the restaurant. There is generous seating for a restaurant this size, but much of it is taken up by PCC students studying, which I absolutely love! It makes it a true college spot. The vibe is just that– affordable food, great Asian-inspired drinks and desserts, and college students studying while consuming. The drinks are the best, because the options are so varied – all kinds of puddings, the boba is amazing when fresh(warm balls of yumminess), and there are teas, milk teas, fresh juice drinks(watermelon and the melon drinks are amazing; made from fresh fruit), slushy type drinks, and shaved ice. To eat: suggest the variety of nibbly bits – pot stickers, skewers, etc. I have had the chicken curry there several times and can now summarily say that it is just«okay.» The chicken tends to be tough(as if cooked when frozen and not good pieces to begin with), the flavor of the curry is just not quite there, and the rice tends to be a bit dry. There are other choices that would provide a much more satisfying meal. Tea Spots delivers on its mission – a great spot for late night drink and dessert pick ups, as well as a place that has a lively college clientele. It does it all inexpensively, considering a student’s budget. Downside: parking is tough. Try the street nearest Carl’s Jr. if you get frustrated, but note that there are posted parking restrictions in the area. Tip: Sign up for their frequent customer program and earn a free drink after 10 or so purchases. Once you try the drinks, you’ll likely be back.

A good place to get some drinks and little snacks. The employees are nice and friendly. Only exception is hanging out there, just keep your eyes peeled for PCC hours. The place can get crowded quick so hanging out and having a decent talk can be difficult. But when TeaSpots doesn’t have a lot of business, it can be a convenient place to hang out.

First time here and was immediately disappointed. I ordered the crispy chicken and came out really quick. But the chicken is rotten I think it was from the night before. It was not crispy at all and to top that off it was really oily. I had a stomachache after eating from here. Never coming back.

Decent service, ok food, nice space for studying, but one big problem. Came here looking for a place in Pasadena to study until midnight with someone. I initially thought it was a neat place with a large selection of food and drinks. Their shaved ice was Taiwanese style which is one of my favorites, but it was just ok. However, I’m not sure if it was just due to bad ventilation, but the place just felt very stuffy to the point that my nose kept getting irritated and my eyes began to water, even to the point I couldn’t breath. I would give this place a second chance, but I’m not in the area enough to recommend it to others.

They renovated the place and their shaved ice menu now says that it does come with fruit! Hah! Take that cashier that told me I was wrong last time. Although now you only get 1 sauce, 1 topping, and 1 fruit. Eh, you win some, you lose some. Their parking still sucks(can’t change that) and their toilet still doesn’t flush nicely. However, their food menu has gotten better! While I am now sick of their crispy chicken(my fault for eating it so much), I now really really like their spicy minced beef noodles. It still does not look appetizing but it tastes delicious and is no longer an oily mess. +1 star for you Tea Spots! Your food is no longer bad!

One of my friends brought me here over the holidays for late night boba. I was so happy that they were open late AND open on days where most businesses were closed! They have a large variety of bobas and drinks. I ordered a hot ginger tea with honey boba. It was perfect! However, i was most pleased with the service! Everyone was so nice! They even walked all the way around the counter to bring my drink to me instead of yelling out my name like starbucks does. They scored major points there! Did i mention the free boba offer if you check in ?? One concern i do have is the parking. I didn’t have a problem when i went, but it’s a shared lot with other businesses and I assume it can get pretty busy during the day because it is right across PCC! I might not go during busy hour, but i will definitely be returning for some late night boba soon!

Friendly service. Decent drinks, but they are quite sweet. Parking in lot is limited and shared with multiple businesses. Across the street from PCC.

Another boba location near home — parking is terrible though. PARKING: Tiny shared lot with mongolian bbq, el pollo loco, and a few other businesses. Good luck trying to find a spot in peak time. The lot is also super tight — every time I manage to find a spot, I am always scared that my car is going to get tapped. FOOD: –They have the regular boba snacks here: popcorn chicken, tempura, and they also have dumplings! Great option for quick bite. DRINKS: –Their tea isn’t as high quality as AU79’s, but it’s a decent option if AU has a huge line. Bonus points for a larger size. They also use Five Star rewards to rack up loyalty points!

I enjoy coming here because it is a cheap alternative to AU down the street. They also have massive drinks, or it might just feel massive cause the cups are shaped differently. This place is usually the place people go to study. Seating can be hard to find if you’re coming midday, but if you’re there later at night, it’s not a bad place to be. Lots of outlets too. They also offer food, my fave would be the chicken plate. It comes with rice, popcorn chicken, minced meat, hard boiled egg and some steamed veggies. Pretty decent for $ 8. I should also mention that if you have a particular taste of a certain type of boba, jelly, or flavor– they probably have it here. I’m not even certain how they keep things so fresh cause they have such a huge selection. Either way, I’ve never been disappointed! Keep up the good work guys!

This review is only for their drinks! My friend and I wanted to pick up drinks somewhere close by in Pasadena. Unfortunately we couldn’t disagree more with their 4-star Unilocal rating! I ordered a regular milk tea with grass jelly & less sugar. It tasted a little too powder-y for my liking, but bearable. My friend ordered a smoothie with what they told us was«honey boba» which is their pink boba. It was 100% NOT honey boba. or at least didn’t even have the slightest hint of it. Based on the taste and chewy-ness of their pink boba, I would not want any type of boba from Tea Spots.

Pros: Very comfortable location if you’re trying to finish up schoolwork or if you need to finish off any work. Their salads are huge. It seemed as if they just used an entire bag of salad and tossed it onto a plate. The fried zucchinis were also great. Their drinks were also above average tasting because of the sizes. Obviously, large is the way to go. Cons: Hainan chicken was ok. The parking lot was small. I would definitely recommend coming here though! Great vibe, drinks, & salad entrees. Portions were really big for the amount you are paying.

I ordered the crispy chicken, squid balls and fish balls. Both the squid and fish balls were good. The crispy chicken meal came with rice, vegetables and an egg. The crispy chicken was good with just the right amount of batter and spice. Vegetables and rice cooked right. I was a little iffy on the egg at first. The egg is smothered with a meat sauce that looks weird. Surprisingly enough, it was pretty good despite its looks.

Ooooooooolong tea sweeten HOT with boba is sooooooo good! First time my friend bought me this and I loved it! So now hooked until I find a new flavor. She did a call in cause it takes long and it’s busy there on a Saturday night. Good service! Now for my second time which I didn’t really have to call in but just in case. Ordered the same drink but they could not hear me but got my order wrong when I got there. She changed it up quick. She couldn’t use my check-in cause she already punched in the order. Make sure you let them know before you order and stuff. Great service. Little more of smile would be cool but all in all great.
