First time having real Mongolian BBQ. Place was small and crowded, usually a good thing, right. They do have a sign up saying how much meat and what not you can take, I didn’t see anyone enforce it. The cook started cooking my stuff and threw on extra noodles for me, nice! Overall good was pretty on point.

This place USETOBE amazing but now… It SUCKS!!! It’s horrible. I miss the nice old man and his wife. These people are strange and nothing has the same favor! If you know of a different place just go elsewhere. The teriyaki sauce is watered down as well as the soy sauce. The grill is not cleaned between dishes!!! Everything is so oily and I really miss the crunchy noodles not these oil ones :(it’s not the same and I’m sad the place I knew is gone. Been coming for 10 years and now my friend with good food is gone.

Love this place. I have been coming here for over 10 years. It is my favorite magnolia bbq place ever. Their are always plenty of people during lunch time, so come early or later in the afternoon. The owner is very nice and friendly and I love that they have lots of meat options.

So I called ahead to make sure it was all you can eat. The lady who answered the phone said yes, it’s all you can eat. So I went in with a friend for lunch, intending to fill up on one bowl, then take another bowl to go. The lady, same one who answered the phone I assume, handed us our little bowls and I filled up modestly, with the knowledge that I can make a second trip. I asked the lady once again if it was all you can eat. She again replied and nodded saying, «yes yes, it’s all you can eat.» So I ate a small bowl’s worth. They put your food in to go containers, so I thought, great I can make another trip and take the rest to go. When I approached the counter for another bowl, the lady tried to charge me again. I said I just paid, remember? You said it was all you can eat. She clarified that it is all you can eat one bowl/one trip. DUMB. That’s not the meaning of all you can eat is it? I wish she would’ve clarified from the beginning and I would’ve just put more in my first bowl.

I like this place I’ve been coming here for years. Back in the day when I went to Pasadena city College this was my go to place to eat. It’s cheap for eight dollars you get a bowl and if you’re familiar with Mongolian barbecue you stuff that bowl with all the noodles vegetables and meat you can. Literally stuff it in with your fist. I pound that thing to a pulp. I took off 1 star when I was in there today because there was someone who was replacing the air filter above the cooking station and there’s no way that sanitary. I’m still coming back but then again I live life on the wild side

I do not do Unilocal reviews, but this place is amazing! I came here for lunch with a few of my friends and I’m so glad we did! Once we entered the restaurant, we feel in love. The restaurant smelled great, and their décor was simple and neat. Their food selection has a lot of variety. Their meats and vegetables look incredibly fresh, and their sauce selection is awesome. Also, I love that they cook your food right in front of you too! I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

This place needs a better AC!!! We decided to grab a table and eat in, but we could not take the heat so we decided to eat at home. Additionally, the place has terrible parking and the place was not clean.

I’ve only tired mongolian food at the Mall, but i dont know something about this one is so much better, the only Problem some might have is the weight limit they have here, although i stack mine and they dont seem to have a problem like others did. Other then the limit, food is great(if you mix it with the right touch of everything ya see). Overall, i’d come back here any time its sooo GOOD

Drove 20 miles to go to a place that is further east. They unfortunately are closed on Tuesdays. Kids were starving so we thought we’d check this place out. It was just ok. Not impressed. Definitely a fast food lunch kind of joint.

Something is terribly wrong with the owner of this food establishment. I am typing this review as we are leaving this place. My other half chose to come here after our regular Mongolian spot decided to close today. I didn’t care for this place but we were set on having Mongolian tonight so we decided to give this place a try and we sadly regret it. There aren’t many Mongolian food establishments in the area so we have to settle for whatever the Unilocal search engine provides and this place was at the top of the list. Parking was a pain in the«you know what». There is a parking lot but it’s small and cramped. We happened to be driving our Raptor today so you can imagine what a joy it was to find an open space and then to try and strategically park the dang monster. As we made our way from our car to the front door of the establishment, we were already perspiring from the heat as it was a hot day… only to walk into a sauna room of a sea of unwashed bodies. It was 100 degrees before we left the house. There was an AC unit above the front door but it wasn’t on. We made our way to the back of the place where the owner was waiting at the register. Did I mention it was HOT? The hub asked the owner for iced water and the owner flat out told him he didn’t need ice with water, «You can drink water without ice.» Is he really serious? Didn’t need ice on this hot ass day in this hot ass box of a place with no AC or even windows at least!!! That dude must have been out of his damn mind. I mean, the dude must have suffered from a heat stroke prior to our arrival or something. Why wouldn’t we want ice in our water, especially on such a hot day? Even if it wasn’t a hot day, why would anyone deprive anyone of iced water if that’s what they want? The owner was rude and senseless and spoke to my husband as if he was a kid. And guess what else? The food sucked big time on top of the rude service. Our food came out over cooked, burnt would be the best description. Flavor was non-existent, even with all the different sauces available. They were low on meat and didn’t stock up until the very last few pieces were gone. The tongs were sticky and the veggie area was a mess. My son’s baby food would have been more appetizing and satisfying. They don’t even deserve one star. We will never return even if this is the only Mongolian food joint left in the country.

Tasty food for a decent price right across from college. It was a nice place to eat at and I’ll definitely be back. Although it isn’t much different than the Mongolian BBQ places you’ll find in a mall, it is a bit cheaper. The idea is you walk in, pay for your meal, then they hand you a bowl. You take the bowl over to the bar and pile up meats, veggies and noodles. You then get to choose how much of each sauce you’d like on your food. At the end, someone cooks up the goodies and it tastes basically like Asian stir fry. Its nothing special, but its also not bad. The people who run the shop are super friendly too. They saw that I didn’t get any noodles because I stacked my veggies too high so they offered me another bowl so I could get some noodles.

A decent place for this type of self pick Mongolian bbq. It feels too expensive for what they serve and how they cook it, but i guess thats also because its near pcc. I was one of the first in here since they were open in the morning, and the supplies of meats weren’t alot. The cook burnt like 80% of my food. The food was alright… Prob wont come back.

AMAZING! I’m a huge foodie on top of that picky for excellent fresh food. I give this place 100%. I’ve passed this place several times and finally decided to give it a try. Well now it’s my favorite hidden gem in Pasadena. Tip: Don’t be afraid to pile it high! There is a sign saying the weight limit, but they don’t care that’s there to keep you supposedly cautious. With your order you get white rice on the side, not that great, but hey I wasn’t expecting it. So not a negative.

This place is across from PCC and that was the main reason why I came here because it was convenient. I wanted good Mongolian BBQ and was afraid to try it due to all the reviews. I ordered the traditional bowl and your able to fill up the bowl as much as you can. When I say fill it up literally FILLTHATTHINGUP, if you want your money’s worth. Don’t be afraid to use ur fist and pound all those veggies and meat down! They cook the noodles till their kind of burnt but it didn’t really bother me too much. Everything else was just decent but hey you get what you pay for! They need to tidy the place up as it is just dirty. and the grill they cook on looked dirty as well.

I always wanted to try this place and so I did today. I was there when the previous Unilocaler had an incident with the noodles. I saw what happened, the owner told the cashier to charge for the extra food, they were charged for it, I totally think it was really bad for the owner. He was pretty grumpy. My food was burnt, it wasn’t even good. It was really dry, they could have added water while cooking it. This place isn’t good, and I’m a big fan of Mongolian BBQ too. I totally feel like a classic case of unhappy owner to unhappy service to poor quality food to no happy customers. I’m not going back there after witnessing what happened and the food was pretty bad.

Greedy owner! We placed noodles on the side for them to be cooked. They dropped our noodles and charged extra money for more food! First of all, if the cook drops the food why the hell do I have to pay for it! So if you want great customer service and food… STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE

I love this place! Seriously. I have been going here for years, and the service and quality of food has been consistently good. I am a big fan of Mongolian BBQ in general, but I always find my self comparing the food at other such restraints to Go Fresh, and I find that they fall short. I’m not quite sure what it is(I suspect it’s the house sauce which they squirt into your bowl when you hand it over for cooking), but it’s just the best tasting Mongolian BBQ in my humble opinion. Advice: don’t be afraid to ask for help and observe how veteran Go Freshers build their bowls. There are some secrets(such as compressing the meat at the bottom of the bowl, saving the noodles for last and adding at least 4 scoops of whatever sauces you like) which can make your experience here the best that it can be. I would also not eat-in here because your clothes(or if you have long locks, your hair) will smell like Go Fresh because the food is cooked right in front of you. It is, however, easily one or my favorite take out places in Pasadena.

Really love the flavor here. The charred noodles are my favorite. They cook them a little more here and I like that The reason I gave it three stars is because one time I went to the back to use the restroom and I saw the cook picking his nose :| I let that one slide. But the thing that did it for me to stop going was I saw a roach on the floor. That was it. I couldn’t eat there again. It sucks cu the food was really good! I just can’t get over that roach!!!

OK, my days of knowing everything around Pasadena are about 2 decades gone, and I needed a quick filling bite in the area. I figured any place that survived across from PCC had to be decent. And it was. The process is simple, get a bowl, fill it with meat and veggies, top it with a sauce and then get it cooked for you. The end product was fine, with a side of rice(I didn’t want any noodles). For sauces, there is a garlic option with LOTS of garlic in it, so there is that going for it.

This is my most favorite mbbq restaurant. PRICE: Around $ 10 to get a meal with a drink. Tips: To make the plate interesting and more enjoyable, do different combination of ingredients. I ordered shrimps or lamb in addition to the plate once a while, and this kinda makes the food more flavorful. Sometime I do veggie only or skip the noodle. These little differences actually make the food taste different. While going over the reviews, I saw many were complaining about the burnt and overcooked. To me, it is the barbecue. Unlike other mbbq places just heating it up, this place actually spend time to grill it. If you’re like my friend preferring softer and less burnt, they can do medium cook upon request. The dish with medium cook seems having a similar texture to other mbbq spot but a better taste. Sauce Strategy: Garlic and Chili are the magic flavors. — If you like sweet & sour kind of foods: Get teriyaki sauce!!, some pineapple, tomato, and/or little bit of mushroom sauce. — If you also like hot/spicy: Mushroom sauce, chili sauce and the red hot sauce on the table will be your choice. — If you like flavorful: Take one of each sauce. — If you like moist: You can either ask them to do medium-cook or add some teriyaki/mushroom/house sauces afterward. I usually put about 2 scoop of teriyaki, 1 scoop of garlic, half of chili, and half of bbq. And sometimes I put 1 more scoop of teriyaki after it’s cooked as well as the red chili sauces on the table.
