Solid. I like their food a lot. Especially the lunch special :-) I’ve been a few times and ordered delivery and never had an issue :0)

The food here is amazing!!! My boyfriend and I love Thai food and this restaurant was one of the best we’ve tried. I highly recommend the peanut curry with chicken.

Wow almost $ 8.00 for a half of a half pint of Tom Kha soup!
Bwhahahahahahaha this is hysterical and it was all onion no chicken laughable really! Just ordered for delivery and was shocked when it arrived. Why would any one send this out for delivery #NOTCUTE

Came here for dinner with a couple of friends
Pros:
— The wonton noodle soup was yummy (~$ 21 with tax and tip)
— Food came out within 15 minutes
— Polite staff
— In a great neighborhood
Cons:
— Very small space — we were kind of ushered out due to the high volume of people

I enjoyed lunch here on a Monday. I had pad Thai, which was pretty good, and came with an appetizer, which was the scallion pancake for me. It was also good. No one else was in the place while I ate, but before I left several tables were full.

The best halal Thai at reasonable prices. It’s a new establishment and I particularly love that it’s super clean and well maintained. If I had to point out one thing that people I bring there tell me — it would be that the portions on some meals can be a bit lacking.
Overall, great food!

I was wandering around the Village — which is easy to do on a beautiful Sunday afternoon — and was craving Thai food. Thank god for Unilocal on my iPhone… this place popped up and I was close by so I figured I’d give it a try.
I usually stick to the same dishes (I am adventurous to a point, anyway), so I ordered chicken satay and Drunken Noodles with shrimp. Both were good.
BYOB just so you know and they charge a small corkage fee on wine. The bill was pretty reasonable as well.
The waitress was nice and sweet… no complaints. Will try again!

I ordered Beef Pad Kee Mao to go, but I realized that it was CHICKEN when I reached home.

Ok, so I work up in Worth St and had ordered from this restaurant for lunch. My food came in about 30 mins or so, and the delivery guy was so obnoxious. He told me that this will be the first and last time I’ll order from them. Now, I understand if it’s far. That’s totally fine. But they could have let me know this before I even started ordering.
The food is OK, I’ve had better Thai food elsewhere. Quite pricey for the quality. The Thai Iced Coffee was horrible!

Peanut curry was good.
Presentation was wonderful.
However We had ordered Musamman and Penang curry. They took the order and came back saying we don’t serve it.

Liked it enough to probably come back if i’m around the area.
Seating is interesting, there’s this elevated side with sofas against the walls.
Service was great, they let us use the Unilocal check in reward (thai ice tea or coffee) for more than one person at the table.
Got the green curry — I think portions could be a bit bigger, both the curry and the rice.
Got pad see ew — same about the portions.
both dishes tasted great though, and I think we waited less than 15 minutes.

I came here because I was nearby. I had a
deal so I decided to try this place out.
I think it is a fairly new place. It was very clean inside.
I checked in and got a free Thai iced coffee and my BF got a free Thai iced tea. The Thai iced coffee was delicious. It kind of reminded me of eating coffee icecream.
We ordered the crispy calamari as an appetizer. I think it was yummy! (But I generally like calamari, the more fried the better).
For dinner, I had chicken pad Thai. IMO, it is one of the better tasting pad Thai I had. The noodles are thin and usually, when I get the pad Thai I always add sriracha with it but this time, I didn’t need to because it was just the right amount of sauce and spice for me.
My BF had the khao chicken panang teriyaki. He enjoyed it. He liked the sauce they had on top.
I would definitely return again!

Good food… They actually make it spicy when you ask them to :)
The Phad Thai is good, will be back for other items on the menu.

I’ve ordered from Khao Thai via Eat24 a couple of times now, and both experiences were top notch. The food was at my door within 20 minutes each time, my orders as hot and fresh as what I’d get dining in. Owners and delivery guys are great.
My inaugural order was the Khao Thai Noodles (rice noodles, picked radishes, scallion, and bean sprouts in a light soy sauce). The portion was just right and it felt fresh, even by the relatively high standards of the average Thai place in Manhattan. The second time I ordered Khao and Crispy Duck (glazed duck over jasmine rice, steamed bokchoy and pickle ginger). This was an absolute winner, and a bargain at $ 13. Eventually, I’ll work my way through the curries, too.
Great to have this place nearby for dining in or out.

The food was decent/​average, I’d say my entrée the Penang chicken was a bit on the bland side but our server did warn that it wasn’t very spicy. The place doesn’t run efficiently. We were the only 3 people in the restaurant and our entrees came out 10 min apart from each other! My boyfriend and I ordered the same thing and my portion was 40% larger than his. The portions were pretty small anyway. All three of us left still hungry. Having said that, the décor is very nice and our server was great. I think we came on an off day since the other reviews of this place seem to be very good.

Khao Thai Kitchen is a promising newcomer to the Village restaurant scene. The interior is an immaculate white walls and tables and black seating, not stark at all, because of the gay red and golden painted orbs on the walls above the table and mirrors. It’s a pretty place, with high chairs and tables on one side lending it a bar feel and traditional tables and seating on the left. There is genuine warmth too, in how you’re greeted, whether the welcome is from Mint the manager or the long haired waitress who served us on the day we went. Unilocalers called it authentic Thai. Perhaps a mite too sweet on the curries to be authentic, Khao Thai nevertheless delivers extremely flavorful Thai, and isn’t afraid to ramp up the heat factor if that’s what you’re looking for. We were warned appropriately by Mint, who said the chef can cook scorching Thai. I’ve had fiery Thai that has blazed a trail through my alimentary canal so playing it safe, we opted for a heat level of 3. It was just enough fire to please but not so incendiary it wasn’t possible for us to taste the complex blending of spices in the food. We started with the fried calamari, crispy goodness that came with a spicy mayo and the more traditional garlickly sweet sauce. It was done well, and not overly greasy. I love mixing the two sauces. Then we had the mango curry with shrimp, something I’ve never had before. Slightly on the sweeter side, whether due to the ripe mango that melted in your mouth or more sugar to cater to more Amerianized tastes, it was scrumptious, with the nuoc mam punching through the creamy coconut curry. The shrimp in the dish was plump, cooked perfectly. The spicy basil fried rice with vegetables we had also was a delicious marriage of many flavors, if not too many different vegetables. We could see flecks of chili all throughout the rice. The food was plated beautifully, with the colors of our dishes in sharp contrast to the white plates. The Thai Iced Tea we had was creamy, but a bit on the sweeter side for both of us. In keeping with its modern décor, and I believe bar-​like feel that it wants to project, Khao Thai plays pop tunes. It’s a fun place to have your Thai dinner if you don’t want soothing music, don’t want to trek to the more authentic Thai spots in Queens or to Thai Peppercorn on the UES. Khao Thai Kitchen holds its own with gracious service and excellent cuisine. 5 stars for service and 4 for food that is not quite authentic Thai.

I had this place on my radar ever since it was under construction because I live 1 block away and my formerly favorite Thai Place (Beyond) closed a few months back. After returning from an extended trip, it was finally open and I ordered delivery Pad Thai which was made exactly the way I like it. After this positive initial experience, I decided to take a few friends there for dinner 1 week later.
The restaraunt is by no means large. It can seat maybe 20 people maximum? I don’t know if they will have a reservation system in the future, but if it got popular it certainly could. The service was really efficient. Our waitress was patient with us as we waited for our tardy friends to arrive.
To start, we sampled their spring rolls. They were very hot, right out of the kitchen and not bad. However, my entrée really sold me on this spot. They have a portion of their menu titled, «Thai Street Food.» My brother and I each ordered the Khao and Steak. The steak was cooked about medium well and juicy. They had a sauce on the side that was delicious. I also seasoned it over the brown rice and veggies. My other friend ordered a Salmon which looked extremely healthy and he loved it.
What can I say, I think I found my new favorite Thai place in the area. Kudos for opening so close to my apartment and expect to see me there again, or ordering!

Khao has freshened up a space on Sullivan St previously occupied by one of those seedy Chinese/​Mexican takeout counters. Most restaurants in this touristy hood don’t seem to rely on repeat business so my expectations were low, but they spent some $$ to renovate, the reviews here were positive, and I like to give new small places like this a chance.
The menu has some enticing seafood offerings like soft shell crab and whole red snapper but since they’ve been open only three weeks, we played it safe with low-​risk choices.
Green curry shrimp ($ 13) was worth coming back again. The dish had at least six bouncy shrimp cooked perfectly along with Thai eggplant, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, and chili. Everything in it was at the peak of freshness and the flavor of the curry was complex. When I ordered it spicy the waitress asked «Thai spicy?» and they weren’t kidding, the spice was nearly overwhelming but I really enjoyed my meal.
Khao with crispy duck is a generous mound of meat but the skin was not crispy. The side vegetables and pickled ginger were good but my companion is very particular about crispy skin on poultry (I guess everyone has their thing…) so he would have ordered something else here.
Staff was pleasant, prices are fair, and the space is one of few in the area where I’d want to linger longer than necessary. I even enjoyed the upbeat electro playlist here. Four stars mainly for the tasty curry — worth a try if you’re in the hood!

Its always great when a new restaurant pops up in your neighborhood, let alone your street (a block off still counts as your street in my book), and greenwich village is sorely lacking good thai spots after the closure of my fav. on west 3^rd street. Checked out this new installation with my brother and 2 friends. It is a small, rather quaint spot with all white tables and décor, but you dont feel so cramped that hear everyone’s conversations either.
The waitress immediately showed us the wide ranging menu and we started with some spring rolls, that were fresh and crunchy. A side note, this place is BYOB which can be annoying if you dont know in advance, but great if you wanna save money and bring your own beer or wine (they’ll even use their bottle opener on it).
For the main course I went off my usual pad thai/​seewu predictable pattern and took the Khao and Steak, which consisted of Grilled skirt steak over brown rice and veggies. The steak was cooked medium and mixed with the thai chilli sauce really added to an amazing dish. The veggies just added to the experience. My friends ordered the salmon and beef pad thai, and both were equally impressed.
I think I may have found my go to thai spot in the village (take-​out included), I’ll return and try the pad thai and other customary dishes. Heres to more great eateries popping up near washington square park!

Papaya salad ($ 6.95) was one of the best I had in Manhattan. But Khao Duck ($ 12.95) was very disappointing, nothing like the picture so beware! The duck was dry and stringy, not fresh. The portion was if they were out of duck and making it okay but not successful. It was a huge waste.
