History

Established in 2007.

We bought the business of Morokote Siam Restaurant on 35 Carmine Street back in 2007. In 2010 we changed the name to Potjanee Thai Restaurant, and in July 2011 we relocated across the street to a bigger place on 48 Carmine with the same name (Potjanee Thai Restaurant).

Meet the Business Owner

Potjanee M.

Business Owner

Wondering where we got the name Potjanee from? It is the name of our mother who is currently working at the restaurant as the head cook. She was born in Thailand and grew up there and moved to the US at the age of 40 hoping to bring her kids up in a land with better opportunities. She got her degree in nursing but always loved cooking as a hobby. When she established herself in the US she started working as a cook in many different restaurants for different cuisines and has always loved making tasty dishes for others to enjoy. When opportunity arose for us to open a restaurant of our own, we did not hesitate and chose this business to commit ourselves to. Now as a family we all work together and hope our customers enjoy the service and food we provide.
