Fetch! Pet Care

I used their services when I went out of town at the last minute and needed someone to take care of my cat Finn. They were very accommodating to my last minute needs.
I called Fetch and they sent me information to fill out and return to them about my pet.
Then they sent me the name of the sitter in my area and told me I would be hearing from her soon.
(Smooth sailing so far…)
Diane turned out to be the sitter. And she was terrific. She went out of her way to get over here the night before so she could meet Finn, find out what his needs were and make sure she had everything she needed and all of the information. I found Diane to be exceptionally friendly, professional, and thorough. Every evening she sent me an email giving me a little update on how he was.
The only reason I didn’t give them five stars was because I had to call a couple of times initially to get them on the phone. But it was no big deal.
I really liked them. I would definitely use and recommend both Diane and Fetch again in the future.

I’ve used Fetch approximately 4 – 5 times this year and have been very satisfied with the service. Emails are answered very quickly, and they are happy to book on short notice. I was impressed with the initial visit — the petsitter asked great questions and made us feel very confident that our cat would be well cared for. On each visit, we’ve received an email with an update on our cat and a photo — it’s great.
I opted to give a set of keys to Fetch — which, in NYC, can be risky! But, after numerous visits, it has proven to be safe and convenient. Our petsitter’s name is Laura and she couldn’t be more responsive, communicative and trustworthy.

I have only had my cats for a little over a year so I haven’t used Fetch for very long. However, they’ve always been able to schedule visits when I’ve been away and I’m very happy to have the peace of mind to know they will be available when I’m not home. They just started an online account system and I think that will be a great way to view all my information and request future visits.

We have been using Fetch for about five years and they are gold. They have been consistently reliable and the sitters have managed to develop a rapport with our elderly cat who is both skittish and in need of regular medication. They were there for us when we had an emergency arise and needed someone immediately. They always make sure our kitty gets the care she needs and that is why we use them whenever we need a professional sitter.

Great customer service from all of their staff! Our kitty is much calmer staying at home than going to a kennel. Our sitters have been reliable and great about communications.

I was very pleased with my recent experience with Fetch. My cat is not very friendly with strangers but quickly warmed up to my sitter, Aisha. I recieved pictures and updates everyday that put my mind at ease. I highly recommend both this service and Aisha!

I just got home from having to leave my almost 3 month old kitten at home overnight due to a family emergency, and I can’t say enough wonderful things about Fetch! They were able to accommodate me at the last minute, and they sent over Aileen, who was fabulous with my baby! My girl was well fed, well taken care of, litterbox scooped, and the place looked great. Aileen texted me regularly to let me know how my baby was doing and always responded back in a quick and friendly manner if there was something I forgot. The prices are reasonable, but most of all, they really care. and sent me someone with lots of experience and a very kind nature. Very happy, will absolutely call them the next time my girl needs a babysitter!
EDIT: I just came across this review and thought I’d update. It’s July 2015, my girl will be two years old next month (yes, I’m one of THOSE pet parents, LOL!), and Fetch! and I are still going strong! Aileen is my girl’s main sitter, but Jonathan also filled in once when Aileen was on vacation, and he also did a spectacular job. Quite simply, you can’t get better or more reliable care for your pet unless you’re doing it yourself. I never sit around and worry if she’s being taken care of, because I know she is. I go away to visit family once a month, and I never ever have to worry. If you live in the NY area, please, I highly highly recommend this service.

I absolutely love Fetch. I have a handful of a cat who both hates her carrier and generally hates people (but I love her!). This means if I’m going out of town, I either need to cajole/​beg/​plead with her to get into the carrier so she can take a vacation at my parents, or cajole/​beg/​plead my wonderful friends to stop by my apartment and make sure she’s okay. Usually one of them caves, but Labor Day weekend I was completely out of luck. Last minute, I desperately called four different places looking for an available catsitter on a holiday weekend. To say I was laughed at by almost every place is a good assessment of the responses I received.
Enter the incredible Bonnie from Fetch. She came by my apartment for an initial screening and fortunately, wasn’t scared by my 6-​lb ball of fur and evil (who I love!). I was spending the weekend in Europe for work and felt completely at ease with Bonnie’s demeanor and really appreciated the daily play photos she emailed while I was gone. My cat had a full bowl of food, clean litter box and full water when I got home after 5 days — nothing as reassuring as that.
Their prices are VERY reasonable, even with the holiday surcharge I paid, and the service is absolutely worth it. I don’t travel that often but I’ll contact Fetch and Bonnie in the future for any last-​minute overnights. Enormous, enormous thanks to the whole staff.

We just used Fetch during our honeymoon for cat sitting. Dulcie was our sitter and she was fantastic! We got daily email updates with pictures, our cat was happy and the place was clean when we got back. We’ll definitely use it again in the future.

Fetch is a business I’ve used many times, sometimes scheduling them at the last minute, and they have come through for me and mine every time.
Jay and his team of sitters are consummate professionals, and my pets and I are lucky to have gotten to know them. They have met our every need and more. If what your pets need is someone who will take them for walks and/​or have playtime, feed them, water them, medicate them as needed, Fetch is a great option. If you need someone who will actively CARE ABOUT your pets, Fetch is your only option.

LIFE. SAVER. Fetch is invaluable for many reasons, as is Angel. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else for home pet care.

This is the second time I am using Fetch. I like the fact that my dog gets to socialize with other dogs, which he can’t do at home. Also, I appreciated the fact that the sitter posted pictures and videos of my dog on Facebook. It was so nice to see my furry baby’s face while I was not with him.

I have been Fetch! devotee for over a year now. Whether skipping town for the weekend, or leaving the country for weeks at a time, I entrust Fetch with my two adorable kittens. I’ve worked with Fetch in two ways: A Fetch caretaker has taken my cats into her home for 8 days; more commonly, a Fetch caretaker (Talia M. is amazing!) comes into my apartment once/​day to feed the cats, clean litter, and then plays with them until they tire out and opt for cat naps. I get daily updates, and pictures just to let me know that things are okay, and show me how happy my cats are despite me being gone. Fetch is always reliable, professional, thorough, and digitally savvy. I would never work with anybody else now that I have worked with Fetch. Highly, highly recommend!

I’ve spent years leaving my cats in the care of friends only to have them lose the key or not clean the litter box.
Kennels are expensive and cruel to animals (my dog growing up wouldn’t come near us for a week after coming back for a kennel). So I love that this service exists.
Our usual sitter Darren is excellent. He even sends us photo updates of our kitties.
I highly recommend fetch, it feels great to travel and not have to worry about the care for your pets.

Jay and his team are awesome! They are flexible and responsive. They are also a good value and reliable.
I highly recommend them to take care of your animals.

After doing the trial walks and everything and of course after I was no longer in the area, not only did they not get my dog out for almost 72hours, out of desperation, I had to call someone who lived in NJ twice to take the dog out. I lived in a high rise at the time so no yard and my dog is very housebroken so he will not go inside at all. In the long run, I still had to pay fetch to sleep at my place and cover the travel and tolls for my Jersey friend. Never again. But yes, the sitter was nice, but please get my dog out!

Fetch is great.
Our 9-​year-​old American Eskimo was boarded overnight at the sitter’s home during 4^th of July weekend.
Jay took the time to help us find the right fit for us and our dog. He listened very well to our needs and worked diligently to make the arrangements work given our time crunch.
Fetch is efficient and has excellent follow-​thru. The only reason I am giving a ⁴⁄₅ stars is due to the price. I think the sitters truly make this service priceless. We had the option of picking two sets of sitters, both of whom are clearly passionate about animals. We couldn’t lose either way.
The sitters we ultimately took Lucky to are loving, passionate, caring, and attentive toward their own pets and Lucky. Our dog clearly loves them for all the aforementioned reasons. Jay obviously has a talent for picking the right people. I can’t wait for Lucky to stay with his sitters again!

Fetch is trustworthy, timely, and caring. My sitter is always thorough and checks in with me after every visit to give me a report on my cat. Love them!

Jay who runs Fetch in Manhattan is fantastic. The sitters are friendly and punctual and a pleasure to work with!

This was my first experience with pet sitting, and it was great. I needed someone to check in on my cat while I was gone for several days. I procrastinated and waited until two days before I left town to call them, and they were able to get me set up with no problem. Jay is super friendly and had great communication back and forth with me while I was trying to get this set up and juggle my workday. The sitter was able to meet with me at a convenient time after work, and did a great job while I was out of town. All in all I’m happy with the service and will use it again.
