Specialties

For 25+ years we have specialized in providing 3 – 5 mile 2 hour midday group dog walks in Manhattan for small, medium and large size dogs. We also offer solo walks as well as cage free boarding for our dog-​walking clients. We provide service from the southern tip of Manhattan to the Upper East and West Side and are soon to provide service in Hudson Heights, Washington Heights, Fort George and Inwood.

Our 2 hour group walks are great for exercise, socialization and are a big help in solving behavioral problems.

We work in teams so the dogs are never left un attended

Our staff are reliable, caring current and ex dog owners who will treat your dog as they would their own.

We are both bonded &insured.

We offer a 1 week free trial period for prospective clients to assess whether the group walks are working out well for both the owner and their dog; and we are happy to say that the success rate is about 99%! We also send new dog owners a free video of their dog out on a group walk so that they can get an idea of how their dog seems to be doing on the walk with their new pals.

Puppies usually are ready for these walks at about 5 months of age and even older dogs that are in good health do quite well on them. We’ve been thanked dozens of times from owners of elderly dogs for keeping their dogs in good shape both physically and mentally.

History

Established in 1989.

We started way back in 1989 quite by accident. An ex-​girlfriend and I took in 7 stray dogs and were often asked by dog owners if their dogs could join our service.

After telling many people that they were our dogs and we weren’t a dog walking service; eventually we thought it would be a great idea to take on a new career working with dogs as we loved being with them. Within a few months we took on other dog people to help us as we grew.

And 25+ years later we’re still providing fellow dog owners with fun filled 2 hour group walks. as well as individual walks and cage-​less in-​home boarding for our clients.

I have a 50lb lab mixed rescue. I’ve used the K9 club for over 6 years now and I couldn’t be more happy with their service. Cliff is great. Very responsive and tries to be accommodating.
My dog loves all the dog walkers. Every time they pick her up, she runs out the door with excitement. It’s a great way for my dog to socialize with other dogs and get her exercise. Because they walk her for at least 2 hours, I don’t feel bad giving her a short walk when I come home from work.
I’ve used other dog walking services and the K9 Club is my favorite. I’m very picky about who takes care of my dog. My dog is a bit high maintenance and the K9 Club has done a wonderful job taking care of her. I’m so thankful.

Today K-​9 Club took my St Bernard for a group walk for the first time and they totally exceeded our expectations. Cliff provided us with a thorough phone consultation before hand, a video feed of the walk, and prompt follow up. We were concerned that our dog would overheat in the summer weather, but they watered and hosed him off 3 times during the walk to keep him cool. We are so happy and so excited to use them again and incorporate group walks into the weekly routine.

What service! Was interested in the K-​9 club 2 hour group walk for my 5 ½ month old golden retriever puppy. Called and spoke with Cliff who has been very friendly, accommodating, and courteous. He spent almost an hour on the phone with me learning about my puppy and educating me on the program. Had our first «trial» walk on Monday. My puppy who is typically very hyper in the evening was pooped (in a good way!). My boyfriend noticed that a few of his nails were bleeding when he wiped his paws down after the walk. When Cliff checked in in the evening to see how my puppy was doing, we informed him and he called and spent 30 minutes discussing what was going on; he was genuinely concerned and made suggestions on how to fix the problem.
We received a video the next day of the walk so we could see how our pup did on the walk. He looked so happy, and it was obvious he was enjoying himself. They even provide the dogs with water. I have only good things to say about this company and look forward to having a tired happy pup while using their services!

Just wanted to update my review. Cliff and his team are so accommodating and I cannot stress the fact that my dog behaves sooo much better after his walks. He is content happy and super excited when the walker comes. They even put his booties on for him to protect him from the salt! Thank you again cliff and team l!!!

I can’t believe K-​9 club has so little reviewers! Let me say I almost never write online reviews — only when a vendor was really great or really bad. That said, K-​9 club is awesome! Cliff the owner and Frank our walker are so easy to work with! I’ve using them for private mid-​day walks on an as needed basis for the past 6 months or so and have never had a negative experience. For a little bit, we had a miscommunication issue with billing, but once I noticed it and brought it to Cliff’s attention, it was immediately rectified. This is a great company!

K-​9 club has been walking our dog for the past year and a half and I must say that Cliff and his team of walkers are wonderful! My partner and I adopted our dog and knew that we wanted to hire a dog walking service as we both work 9 to 5’s. I did my homework and read so many great reviews about K9 Club that I called Cliff for a phone interview. I was blown away at the amount of knowledge and caring that he has! It was a 45 minute phone call and I could tell that he was genuinely concerned that I, as a new puppy parent, thought of everything. We even moved apartments to another neighborhood and the walks were just as good with no hiccups in service.

I called K-​9 Club last minute in desperate need for a walker to take my puppy out over the weekend. Cliff was really helpful and set my pup up with an hour long walk in no time and even was able to feed him dinner with no extra fees. It was very easy and no trouble at all. The walker left a really nice note about my puppy Larry, and informed me all went well, he was fed, and he did his business. Great place, good prices, and very kind people. Definitely recommend!

Having used multiple walkers as well as 2 of the «Doggy Spas» in New York city I can honestly say that K-​9 Club is a godsend. The K-​9 Club is an extremely professional and reliable company. Words cannot express how appreciative I’ve been for their flexibility. Due to a job with long hours, I find myself stuck at work frequently. I know that I can always contact Cliff and he will have someone at my apartment asap to walk my dog. We love Cliff and the dog walking staff at The K-​9 Club. Our 60 lbs. Lab mix, Buckley has been walking with K-​9 Club for 3+ years. She is 5 years old and is full of energy. Since she has been going on the 2 hour group walks she is more calm and relaxed in the evenings.
Cliff always works with our schedule when we are out of town. The team is always 100% reliable and trustworthy. We know Buckley is in good hands when she is walking with Cliff and his team.

My neighbor recommended K-​9 Club to me, and I’ve been so happy with them. My dog has adolescent energy, and came from a shelter where he didn’t interact with many other dogs. Cliff and his team safely helped determine if my dog was ready for pack walks (he was), and the rest is history. My dog is relaxed when I get home, and is even picking up some tips and tricks from his fellow pack mates (ie, how to lift a leg, haha!).
K-​9 Club are true dog people, and I trust them 100% with my pup (and I don’t hand out trust when it comes to my dog!). Dogs are built to migrate for hours a day, and this amazing service allows them to tap into that primal drive, socialize, and exercise their body and mind.

One of NY’s pioneer pack walkers. Before the Dog Whisperer was talking about «The Power of the Pack» there was the K9 Club. Great for high energy dogs. Those other private half hour walks just don’t help much except to let your dog «go,» I used them years ago when my dog needed socialization and it helped a lot! And when I got a new dog recently I looked them up.
NY is glutted now with dog walking services but I trust the K9 Club. They’re pros.
