Are you kidding me! Avoid this liar.
Okay, so I saw some negative reviews regarding Bart being late, not showing up, etc., but decided to give him a chance.
I even called the same day to verify he had my address and would be here at 5:00 pm. So far so good.
5:05pm. Not here. I called his number. A woman answered and said he’d be at my house in fifteen minutes.
5:30 pm. Half hour late and still not here. I called a second time and the same woman told me he was on his way. A little irritated by now, I reminded her that he should have called me if he was going to be late. She asked if I wanted to cancel. I said no, not if he’s on his way.
5:35 pm. Bart calls. Tells me he knocked on my door but I didn’t answer. So he left. I told him he was lying. I was looking out front awaiting him. He repeated that he knocked several times, heard nothing, and left. I asked why he didn’t call from my door when he was here. He repeated that he’d just left. I told him to come back. I’d be in the front yard. He told me it was my fault for not answering the door and he didn’t want my business.
This guy is a lying, unprofessional asshole.

I was referred to Bart through a connection at my office and I am so happy to have him and his assistant work for my family. From the estimate to the first day on the job, I’ve felt comfortable with Bart’s expertise and experience. I can see the level of detail that he puts into selecting boards and placing them as well. The section of fence he placed in our back yard looks beautiful and outshines neighboring fences in my community.

Bart is the best!!! Made appointment for estimate on 2 fences. I had the estimate and a start date within 24hrs! Bart showed up each day on time even earlier. His work is top notch professional. He is meticulous and spot on with attention to detail and cleanliness. We are trying to find more work at the house so we can get him back!!! Gazebo in the future!!! Thanks Bart!!!

Today was the 2^nd time I had an appointment for Bart to come out and give a fencing estimate. The work was to be done at my relative’s house which is a 35 min drive for me to meet him. He could not give me an appointment right away, so we set a date to meet within 2 weeks. After waiting an hour at the first appt and leaving messages on his voicemail, I finally reached him and he said he did not have an appt with me for that date/​time, but he could meet me a week later. We made an appt for the following week at 10am. So I drove home having wasted driving and waiting time.
Today I waited until 20 min. past my appt time and reached his voicemail again. 40 min past the appt time I called again, left another voicemail. Wasted another hour of driving, and 1 ½ hours of waiting AGAIN, and have not received a call back.
Time to search for a new fence contractor, but it burns me to think I could have found someone over a month ago, and might have even had a new fence in by now. The only reason I even gave 2 stars was because he had done fence work for another family member previously with good results, so he came with recommendations. I, however, am NOT happy about my experience!

I made an appointment with Bart from Java Fence for Sunday 9am for him to come and look at the job to give me an estimate. I made changes in my day and plans to meet him. 9:00am rolled around, no sign of Bart. 9:15am I called him on both numbers I had for him, no answer so I left messages with my number inquiring what his ETA was. 9:26am he calls me and leaves a message saying he wasn’t going to make the appointment and was passing on the job. Oh, and that he didn’t have my number to call me in advance to cancel (even though he had called me on it 2 times prior).
I can’t say anything about his craftsmanship or work because he obviously never did the job, but I can say he lacks professionalism by a/​not showing up and b/​not cancelling in advance. The two stars is for the fact he called back at all to cancel.

Professional fence making is what you get with Bart. He is honest, hard working and took his time to make sure this fence was perfectly built. We mainly needed a fence for the dog not to escape. Our lot is challenging since it is on a hillside, but he made sure no gaps were left for our doggy te get out. Fence looks great, thanks Bart!
