Also I just wanted to say if you have a more complicated case I recommended Dr. Randy Harris on Sunset Blvd. He is a little bit expensive but when it comes to your health sometimes you get what you pay for.
Obviously my point has been made because he did not even attempt to reply or make amends.

Dr.
Lipeles and his staff deserve 5 stars and more! Excellent service, professional
and friendly team. He’s easy to talk to, up to date, and his opinions and
practices align with my own. He makes feel comfortable asking and kindly
answers all my questions. Having a baby for the first time could be exiting and
so many worries, he gives you direct, honest and open thoughts on what’s going
on and answers your questions with an open mind and warm heart. Dr. Lipeles made a perfect
C-​Section, no scar at all, very very little and pain-​free, after 3 days I was
able to walk around smoothly. He just sets me at ease, with his sweet
temperament.
His
staff are personable and amazing I felt like I could ask anything. Cynthia, Marlene, Grace, Maria and Jessica
all wonderful people what a blessing to have them near to me during my
pregnancy. Marlene, always answering all my questions that as a first time mom
where a lot of them, I could call 2 or more times a day and with all kindness
she helped me. Cynthia, always taking care of me, making sure all my exams
where good, that nothing were missing and scheduling my c-​section in the best
moment for me and my baby. Grace, she is perfect! She helped me with my EDD
paperwork with no problems, very organize and thoughtful. Maria, she was the
first one to see my baby! She made me feel very comfortable. She is a very
professional lady. Finally, Jessica, even though she is new she blended
perfectly and made me feel relax during the last weeks of my pregnancy.
So many good things to talk about Dr.
Lipeles and his team, I will miss them so much!!! Thank you so much for all
your hard work.

I love this Docter he is so good at what he does I went there in March for a check up and he found a Fibroid he suggested I have surgery since I’m trying to have a baby it would help if I do it .His Main Nurse Cynthia is Amazing As Well she worked hard with my insurance to get me the best the amount off time that she has to spend calling my insurance was crazy but she did it and she did the best I love her and the whole staff and Dr Jamie .I had my surgery Done at (Lil Company If Mary Hospital Wow there so wonderful they took the best care of me Thank you Guys for everything From Cynthia To Dr Jamie Lipelies to the hospital Thank you can’t wait to have all my friends and family go this Doctor

I’m so thankful and blessed that Dr Lipeles was my obstetrician. I felt at ease with him from the very beginning because of his personable attitude. He has a way of making you feel relaxed especially for my husband and I being first time parents.
After a long and failed induction (4 Days = 1.5 cm dilated), Dr Lipeles delivered my daughter via csection. I appreciated his diligence in trying various methods for me to dilate and deliver vaginally as that was my initial goal. Any other obstetrician would’ve persuaded me to do a csection after 24 – 48 hours but Dr Lipeles was patient and respectful of my wishes. However, my body had other plans instead, so after 4 days, we decided to cut me open. I don’t know why I was so scared of getting a csection to begin with because everything went perfectly! The procedure was fast, and seamless, but most importantly, he delivered my healthy baby. The recovery was smooth as well. I was able to walk the next day and felt 100% by the 2^nd week.
If my husband and I have another baby, we definitely want Dr Lipeles as our obstetrician again!

The following conversation between my wife and I 3 weeks after having our second daughter sums up how I feel about Dr. Lipeles:
Wife: Do you want to have another baby?
Me: What? I thought you said after this one you were done.
Wife: I don’t know… I feel better this time. If you wanted to have one more, I would be open to it.
Me: Wow.
Our first daughter’s birth was problematic. My wife had preeclampsia and was induced at 38 weeks. The labor was long and stressful so a caesarean was performed. Both my wife and daughter were fine in the end but it was my wife’s recovery that was an issue. She experienced pain for several months after giving birth. We discussed having 4 children once but this put that idea into a different perspective.
Now we have had daughter number 2. My wife’s recovery was so much easier this time we may have «one more» one day. Dr. Lipeles was very professional, knowledgeable, and entertaining through the entire process. His staff was warm and my wife especially loved Cynthia who always made her feel relaxed. If you are fortunate enough to use Dr. Lipeles you will definitely be in capable hands.

Best obgyn EVER! My husband and I cannot be more appreciative of Dr Lipeles. He is very down-​to-​earth, warm, patient, caring, and extremely competent. He was my OB through a very high maintenance pregnancy — subchorionic hematoma, placenta previa that resolved, preterm labor signs (short cervix, contractions), poor weight gain, and high blood pressure. I ended up being induced because of my blood pressure at 37 weeks. My labor was long (36 hours), and in the end, I pushed for 3 hours. He was there during all the pushing — coaching me through it. He made me feel at ease (as much as possible given the situation) and just brought a level of calmness to the room. The nurses were so complimentary. They told me there was no way most doctors would stay for the entire 3 hours of pushing. My husband and I felt so lucky to be in his capable hands.
I know there are negative reviews on here for him, but honestly I think most of them have to do with the office, not him personally. You should expect to wait for appointments because he takes his time with patients. He makes sure he answers any questions they have. I never felt like he was rushing to the next patient. As a result, he gets backed up and sometimes you have to wait. I have waited over an hour before (not the norm) and other times I get in right away. And, I am ok with that because I would rather be with a doc who takes his time and listens to me rather than feeling like a number in the queue. Also, while he is incredible, I do agree with some of the reviews that some of the office staff are not as wonderful. Everyone is nice but some of the staff are a bit disorganized unfortunately. But, once again, he is totally worth it.
I would highly recommend Dr Lipeles. I plan to keep him as my GYN and if I am blessed with another baby, he will be my OB again.

They are such a mess. Unprofessional, rude and scary.
1. Performed a procedure and did not tell me the intensity of cramping, bleeding and discharge that would occur after — I couldn’t go to work for a couple days and was a mess for a month — thanks for the heads up doc. Also, not sure if procedure was done right. My period stopped completely after the procedure was done — months ago. Scary.
2. Called the front desk to express my concern about having no period, explained my situation and that I already had 2 negative pregnancy tests, lady at the front desk said come in today. Went in — they seemed surprised and said, but the doc isn’t in today? Cool. The only thing they could do with no doc was another pregnancy test (negative)…glad I took off work to come in. The dumpy receptionist denied scheduling me to see the doc, refused to apologize then FINALLY confessed but said she told me he wasn’t in and that i could do a pregnancy test — complete bullshit. The only saving grace was one nurse who was sweet and charismatic, she made sure my parking was paid since I drove over there for nothing.
The receptionist rescheduled me 2 days later… when the doc was in. She was so rude and mean and I was frustrated but nice — I was just scared out of my mind. Why be so rude and insensitive?
3. Came back 2 days later. they poked and prodded, said I might have light bleeding after — they didn’t have any tampons or pads to offer me when I asked… I just had a bad feeling about it. Surprise, surprise they again did not tell me what to expect. Light bleeding? I barely made it home because of the cramps, bled through my pants, almost on my car, I couldn’t go back to work and rushed home. Scary and so rude not to give me any information about what to expect. Again.
4. When I saw the doctor I was scared and nervous I might never be able to have kids because of the procedure. He was insensitive and cracked jokes about how lucky I am to have no period and came in the room saying I was pregnant (after a 4^th pregnancy test… seriously?) — then said just kidding! Not funny. I was scared out of my mind. So unprofessional.
5. He sent me home with 2 pills, wrapped in a paper towel shoved in a urine sample cup (the cup even said Urine Sample on it… gross), told me to take it for next visit in a week. Wouldn’t tell me what it was. Called the office again to ask what it is and can I drive on it? They didn’t know what he gave me and said they would call back with an answer. They never did.
6. Wanted to seek a second opinion (obviously, since they messed up 1 million times), I asked to pick up copies of my paperwork. They did not have it ready when I was going to get it. They LOST MY PAPERWORK. They said they had no record of my procedure or even the tests that would even show why the procedure was done in the first place.
7. When they realized they lost my paperwork it took 2 months for them to find and release it after I got my insurance involved and my primary doctor. I had to harrass them to get paperwork about my body! SKETCHY and so illegal.
This place is disgusting, I pray that they didn’t ruin my body for life. The staff is rude and unprofessional. So I strongly advice you to go ANYWHERE else. I also talked to another OBGYN in the area… they said I was not the first case of possible mal practice and definitely bad quality of service at this clinic. Again, scary.

I had a very good experience for my first visit! The office staff, especially the girl that checks your weight and everything, was very friendly. There was a wait to see Dr. Lipeles, But isn’t there always, it’s not an exact science and after being seen by him I could see why. He took his time and answered all of my questions about tubal ligation, and he had a very professional but down to earth manner. He cares about his patients, and is genuinely a people person. He seems very good at what he does, he even joked about being good at certain OBgyn tasks (like Essure insertion) because of having video game fingers. Which I so understood given my husband is a gamer and musician and it does increase your abilities with your hands– this is meant to be a complement :)
he explained my many options and addressed my concerns and we came to a happy conclusion of removing my tubes which is to be scheduled. I left very happy and comfortable and confident. I will follow up on Unilocal after the procedure, but am sure all will go beautifully!
He also was extremely gentle and quick with my Pap smear– easiest/​pain free one I have ever had, and I’m 38!

My partner and I were told that she could not have our child through vaginal means by Dr. Lisa Masterson (from the show The Doctors). She wanted to c-​sect her. I’ve talked to other patients whom she tended to and they felt that they were manipulated/​coerced into a c-​section. We Unilocaled Dr. Lepeles and chose him for a second opinion. He told us that he could absolutely delivery our child vaginally.
Yes he is unorthodox! That’s a good thing. He’s down to earth and doesn’t talk down to you. You’re involved in the process, you are not the process. Our daughter was born healthy with no complications.
I won’t allow anyone else to deliver my future children.

The best obgyn! Seriously ladies if you need a obgyn that makes you feel comfortable and is good at what he does this is the guy he delivered my first baby and my second baby he helped me through my whole pregnancy feel comfortable and always attentive to anything I needed and while delivering my babies he always did a good job and made sure all my wishes went as I wanted them thanks to him both of my labor went well! Defiantly the best decision I made was to pick him as my obgyn :)

Dr Lipeles’ sense of humor immediately set us at ease. My wife was very nervous at first!
He proved to be a kind and extremely proficient doctor.
I couldn’t recommend a better guide to advise and protect through the seemingly daunting journey to giving birth!

My husband and I are very grateful for having Dr. Lipeles as my OB-​GYN and pre-​natal care giver. We moved from SF bay area to MDR in early June 2015 and soon found myself with a happy surprise pregnancy – this is my first pregnancy and together with the moving I was very anxious. I found Dr. Lipeles on Unilocal and decided to give it a try based on the great reviews and that his office is very close to my home. This has been a great decision for me and my baby girl whom he delivered in March.
Dr. Lipeles is top notch. He is very calm and knowledgeable, very patient listener, and honest and down to earth when he is communicating with you. Such a personality gave me the confidence I need as a first-​time mom. This confidence remained high as my pregnancy proceeded and I saw Dr. Lipless regularly for my pre-​natal care. Dr. Lipeles gave his patients his personal cell number and I can have my questions answered even outside of business hours – one time I texted him at 2am in the morning and got replied at 4am!
His staffs are very friendly and it is always easy to schedule/​reschedule with them. Blood draw and ultrasound are all done on-​site and you do not need to go to other facilities for your tests.
Dr. Lipeles is highly recommended for any expectant moms looking for an OB-​GYN in MRD area.

I have to share my experience so future patients can aware the service in Dr. Lipeles’s office. Please also read other patients’(Angie and Sara) reviews which mentioned the same issues: incredibly long waiting time and rude staff. I switched to Dr. Lipeles over a year ago because his office is really close to my home and he has mainly great reviews. However, I never end up seeing him. The first time I called the office I was told Dr. Lipeles was not available for the schedules I provided but there was another doctor in the office was available. So I have been seeing this doctor (who left recently) instead of Dr. Lipeles in the same office for a whole year. The average waiting time for seeing the doctor in this place was 60 – 90 minutes. Every time was so frustrating. So before I went to see Dr. Lipeles (I was hoping it would be different) this time, I called and asked the front desk if it would be on time. The answer was «cannot promise, but if some patients come before you do, they will get in first». I have been always on time and even a little earlier. But apparently being on time doesn’t matter. And patient’s time doesn’t matter to this office. One of his front desk staffs who talked to me had no willing to apologize and told me there was no way they could improve or change how they scheduled the appointments. This time I was waiting for 45 minutes and I decided not to waste my time any more. I left without seeing Dr. Lipeles and will not go back again. If you think your time is also important as the doctor’s time, you need to know about this before you go to Dr. Lipeles’s office.

After a happy surprise pregnancy (at the «advanced age» of 40) and 2 OB/​GYNs later, Dr. Jamie Lipeles won us over with his easy smile, confidence and humorous bed-​side manner. Both he and his staff, took the time to get to know us and accommodate our desire for as natural a birth as possible. He relates well to his patients, especially as he is a «new» father himself.
A very knowledgeable doctor and very skilled conversationalist, both he and his staff answered questions that I didn’t even know to ask. As a side benefit, he will offer you great recommendations for places to eat pizza (especially helpful if you’re an East Coast transport like myself). His support in helping us to welcome into the world, our new BFF, baby boy River Blue Christian went beyond my expectations. Dr. Lipeles calmed my usual nervous self with his fun manner and funny jokes. Am still looking for the perfect thank you gift!

Dr. Lipeles has to be the best OBGYN in the entire world! Yep my lady parts have talked amongst each other and decided lol. Really where can I start.
I was expecting my first child and quickly suffered a complication, I had only set up an appointment with his office so I had not met him yet. Before my scheduled appointment I was at the Marina ER and because they asked who my doctor was going to be I mentioned him a doctor I had yet to meet since I just found out. Well the ER attendees reached out to him and he was very firm stating my patient is not to leave until I have checked on her, although it was a long surgery day for him he was very hands on from afar with everything they did while I was there. He got to me when he could we met for the first time, I’m sure with his long day he was exhausted but he did not even for one second let me think or feel that. Dr. Lipeles treated me like he was my father, uncle child’s father lol everything he saw his name on my paperwork and took ownership it felt like I made at least one good decision already for my baby and my health. My pregnancy ended that night but he held my hand over the next couple weeks. During that night he also saw a cyst or something on my ovary but since my insurance expired after pregnancy I just being irresponsible never went back. I received a call from his office saying the doctor wants, needs you to follow up he will help you find insurance. So I did and as usual he was the very best.
I promise I can’t wait to have children plus he plays country music and we’ll that’s my fav!!! Choose him you can’t get better than Doctor Jaimie Lipeles and his team.

This is a short synopsis of the unprofessional treatment I received by Dr. Lipeles at the end of my pregnancy (a more thorough review will be view able on REDDIT shortly) up until then I had been seen by Dr. Gould his partner who was caring and wonderful, the few times I was seen by Dr. Lipeles it was a rush job, 5 minutes tops with him cracking jokes and telling me that everything was great without really listening to anything I had to say or even looking at my chart. Unfortunately Dr. Gould does not do deliveries so it would be Dr. Lipeles that would be delivering my baby, I had chosen to have my prenatal care at this office due to the fact that the website claims they do deliveries at St. Johns and UCLA hospital in Santa Monica which is a 5 minute drive from my place. However due to displaying pre-​eclempsia symptoms Dr. Gould suggested I be induced, when I asked Dr. Lipeles about this during my 38^th week he claimed to know nothing about it, even though 4 days prior to me asking him I had been hospitalized overnight via his orders, however he failed to even mention it.
Instead during my office visit I was placed on the baby heart monitor, had my blood pressure and urine tested by his assistant Cynthia, not once coming in to check the baby’s heart rate himself as I was leaving Cynthia asked me to wait as protein had shown up in my urine. After an hours wait, Cynthia simply said you can go Dr. Lipeles says your fine. At which point I asked to speak with him, when I went to the back Dr, Lipeles was not busy with another patient but he was having a personal face time conversation. Once he was finished I asked him what was going on with my delivery? Would I have to be induced? He replied that he saw no reason why, and when I asked if he would be delivering my baby he asked what hospital I was planning on delivering at. when I told him St. Johns in Santa Monica he said the probability of him being there for the delivery was 50% as he lives in Hermosa Beach and would much rather that I deliver in Torrance at Little Company Of Mary which is a 40 minute freeway drive from where I live. I said no I want to deliver close to home as our car does not run well and the tags have expired. He then proceeded to try to convince my husband and I to deliver at his chosen hospital, when that did not work he tried to instill fear in us by saying that St. Johns was ill equipped to handle an emergency and that the nursing staff where not as cordial or kind as they are at Little Company. Still I was not buying it, as St. Johns has been around for 7 decades and I have never had a bad experience with them.
When I asked him about the protein that was showing up in my urine, he said it was minimal and not to worry about it, again I reminded him that Dr. Gould had suggested otherwise, this is when he decided to look at my medical records up until this point he had not bothered looking over my file. Still he insisted that everything looked beautiful but that if I wanted to be induced he would be happy to do it at Little Company Of Mary.
I left his office confused and dumbfounded by what I had heard, the next few days included yet another emergency visit to the hospital due to swelling and blurred vision however the attending physician said there was no need to induce and to just wait it out til my delivery date. During my next office visit Dr. Gould reiterated what she had been saying, that I should schedule an induction as she felt that would be the safest thing to do for the baby, I was not opposed and said of course whatever you think is best, when she discussed it with Dr. Lipeles he said I will only do it if it’s at Little Company Of Mary, this led to a back and forth between myself and Dr. Lipeles via Dr. Gould because again Dr. Lipeles if just simply to busy or great or whatever it is that he felt he could not come out and speak to me face to face. Through Dr. Gould he explained that St. Johns is not the right hospital to have an induction as they have to many rules and regulations that prevent him from doing the best job he can, when I still refused the list of reasons why I shouldn’t give birth at St. Johns grew up until the point where I was told that I would receive sub par treatment as I am using state issued insurance Medical and the staff there tends to frown upon it! I can’t go in to the full story here, but just be aware that if you live in the Westside and plan on delivering near your home, Dr. Lipeles has other plans for you my full story will be available on Reddit if you want to know the rest including how one of his medical assistants broke HIPPA laws by getting my husbands cell number then proceeding to sext him. I am attaching pictures of the exchange. Long story short Dr. Lipeles again through Cynthia his assistant let me know that if I decided to give birth at St. Johns, I was no longer welcome as a patient at his office, leaving me with no proper post– partum care. The legal term is patient abandonment! Dr. Lipeles YOU ARE A LIAR!

I was 4 months pregnant when I moved to MDR and had to get a new OBGYN. I wanted to find a doctor close to my house so I did my research online and found the doc with the most positive reviews.
After meeting Dr. Jamie Lipeles, I knew I had made the right decision. This was my first pregnancy and I was very anxious. Dr. Jamie Lipeles made me feel such at ease with his tentativeness and genuine care. He was honest, direct and informative. I’m so happy he was my doctor during this time. He delivered my beautiful baby boy in July and I couldn’t be more pleased with the care I received before and after his birth. I highly recommend Dr. Jamie Lipeles!

What a great pregnancy and labor I had mainly due to the wonderful care here! You never feel rushed during appointments, you get all your questions answered, you are truly listened to, and they deliver at the wonderful Little Company of Mary’s Hospital. I originally went for doctor Jamie Lipeles but now prefer and love Dr. Julie Gould who also works in this office. SHE IS AMAZING and KIND! I had a natural birth, with the golden hour bounding time, my baby never left my room.

Dr. Jamie Lipeles saved my life. He identified that I had an ectopic pregnancy very early– 5 weeks. Dr. Lipeles was efficient, cautious, expeditious, and most importantly… incredibly kind.
He explained the situation in detail, along with our options in a way that made us feel comfortable and cared for. He met us the next morning for emergency surgery, and did an amazing job. It was an incredibly scary situation, and an emotional one. Finding out that not only are you losing your baby, but your life is potentially in danger is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. But if it happens to you, I would hope you have Dr. Lipeles on your side. I can’t possibly thank him enough or express the depth of my gratitude.
When we do get pregnant again, I know that we’ll be in the best care with Dr. Lipeles there with us every step of the way.

Wow where do I start? Dr. Lipeles recently delivered my son Zander a week ago and all I can say is BEST CARE EVER!!! From the moment my husband and I had our first visit with him up until delivery he was everything we could ask for thru out the duration of our pregnancy. Never felt rushed during our appointments, he always answered all of our concerns before we left, made us feel very comfortable with his down to earth personality, he gets to know you on a human level where you feel you can relate, all of his staff members always greeted me with a friendly smile, very clean facility (my husband always enjoyed the coffee they offer) lol
Overall he is extremely passionate about the work he does and it shows.
