Cutlab Hair Studio

I went in for a haicut on Saturday and Inez was very patient and professional while cutting my hair. I really enjoyed my new look. This is a great salon! Very welcoming! :D

This salon is really fabulous! I just left after my first visit, and I couldn’t be happier. I called last minute for an appointment and they got me within the hour. I saw Jen and she did such an amazing cut! I am super happy and will be a loyal client going forward!

Inez is really great! She is very patient and takes her time with your hair. I went from long to short and was really nervous! She made me feel very comfortable and styled it the way I wanted in the end!

Yet another incredible cut by MONICA! It might seem weird that a boyfriend continues to praise a hair salon, but, when my gal is smiling so am I. She went in for a followup and came out a bright and shining star.

Renata is the best! Tried this place out after my hairdresser moved out of state. The first time I went, I showed Renata my idea for cut and color and she ran with it. I completely put my trust in her because I don’t like to tell people how to do their jobs and I know she is going to make my hair look awesome if I just say what I am kind of looking to do and let her go wild on it. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair!
Also, I have had to move my appointments several times since things come up and they are so patient and accommodating. It is hard to get appointments last minute. The calendar fills up quickly! But this is my go-​to now, love it!

It’d been at least three years since my last hair cut, but when you combine my love of my old studio in West Hollywood with a fear of effing up my hair — I would have just assumed never cut it again. Boy, oh boy — am I ever glad I found Cutlab! When I first stumbled across them, I was astonished by their 5 star rating but as a tried and true customer now I absolutely get it — the staff are wonderful, first timers get a kickass discount and it’s a wonderfully relaxed environment. For the first time in ever, I can’t wait to go back and get my hair done. If you’re ever in Eagle Rock — I definitely recommend Cutlab!

Amber has been cutting my hair for 15 years now. Didn’t think she could possibly get better (she was amazing when she first cut my hair — before I got married — before I had kids), but every year that I return for my annual highlights and cut, she just seems to get better and better.
I love the crew at cutlab. From my initial phone reservation, to the sweet lady that helped me at the register after my haircuit, everyone was just SUPER nice and friendly. Had multiple people offering me water, tea, and cookies while I was there.
Location is perfect for me — In Eagle Rock! I was lucky to find street parking, but there’s also a parking lot behind the buiding.
The furnishings and décor at Cutlab is not over the top. Stylish, and very clean. Loved the smell of Aveda products in the well ventilated room.
I see no reason why I would go any place else for my haircut!

Amber has been doing my hair for 14 years. She is hands down THE BEST. I always receive compliments on my hair color and cut. Her taste level and attention to detail is second to none. Cutlab is a gorgeous salon and the staff feels like family.

Amber is so darn good. She cuts my thick straight Asian hair and makes it look amazing every time. She’s done everything from a pixie crop to long layers on me. I highly recommend her and the Cutlab team. She’s also great with children — my kids love her.
While I don’t color my hair, I’ve seen women walk out with the most beautiful colors.
Location is great with lots of street parking. Well stocked with Aveda products & good magazines.

Renata is so gifted. She has been cutting my hair for 8 years. I’ve never received a bad haircut from her. She is a true artist and will never settle for anything less then exceptional.

I’ll just say this: Jen is the best! I had a color with highlights and a cut. I left refreshed and looking much, much better.
The place is pleasant. Jen is too and very knowledgeable.

Where do I begin? I have major hair issues. I’m biracial and my hair texture is difficult to describe. In any case, I’m really sick of how my hair has been looking lately. I was rather skeptical about coming here, being that I always do my own hair at home. When I arrived, I didn’t get a bad vibe at all; in fact, everyone was genuinely friendly. I met Monica and explained (a long explanation) about my hair and what I was looking for. Okay, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted but I just knew I wanted to walk out looking better than when I came in!
Monica listened and understood what I needed, better than I did I think. She gave me an absolutely fantastic cut and style, and it didn’t take a very long time at all. Monica was SOOO sweet, friendly, and funny! She made me feel totally comfortable at Cutlab. I will definitely be going back. Thanks, Monica!

I have gone to Amber for the last two years. When I first visited her we decided to highlight my hair for the first time in my life and I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I have gotten so many compliments over the years. Many people have made assumptions that the blonde highlights are my natural hair color which is a testament to the how great of a job Amber does. The studio is always very clean and her personal touches include homemade cookies for each client during the holiday season.
The only caution I have is to make sure if you park at a metered spot that you do not go over on time as I got a parking ticket during a visit. Amber or someone else in the studio will gladly put money in your meter so make sure you take them up on that offer!

Really excited to have found such a great salon walking distance to home.
For anyone with shoulder length hair, looking to spice it up with some layers I highly recommend Inez. She took my heavy, dull, grown out bob and turned it into a light, easy, low maintenance masterpiece. It’s a miracle what a few layers can do.
Major Points: I wasn’t sure if I wanted to incorporate bangs or not… Inez told me we could wait till the end to see if I wanted them. I was so happy with my layers that I felt I didn’t need the bangs anymore. Inez told me if I changed my mind in the next two weeks I could go to her and she would give me bangs free of charge. (GREAT customer service).
Booking the appointment was really easy. Inez had me in and out of there in a little under an hour. She used awesome products. She was really sweet and gentle (no tugging and pulling when blow drying).
My husband has an appointment with her for this Saturday. I’m excited to see what she will do to his hair.

As a younger guy, I use to just cut my own hair and just be done with it. But as I got older, I wanted to actually have a look that was easy to maintain and style.
That’s when I met Monica Wood! She is amazing with style and technique. I literally just walked in, met her and told her, «make me look good».
Not the best client I know, but what I loved is when she bounced ideas off of me and spent the time to explain what she thought would look good and gave me options. And not only did Monica cut my hair, but cut it in a way that would allow it to grow out if I wanted it too.
At the end of the day, I walked out of the salon meeting someone that listened to me, has a great personality, and now has a client for life!
I could not be happier with the experience and would recommend anyone to go to this salon and ask for Monica!

When I decided to chop off my long hair I wanted to go to a hair stylist that has a lot of experience in cutting short hair; I wanted a bob cut, long towards the front and short in the back. After searching the Internet I found a perfect place in Beverly Hills. A haircut cost $ 120 and color $ 195, my hair always looked fabulous. I got my hair cut at this salon a couple of times until I realized it was not smart to continue paying this price so I decided to start my journey to find a less expensive place. For about two months I went to three different stylist and none of them could give me the perfect haircut.
One day I tried a salon in Old Town Pasadena and this is where I met Cat. I showed her pictures of the haircut that I wanted. When she finished looking at the pictures, she explained how she was going to cut my hair. After I agreed, she started cutting my hair in small sections. She believes it is better to cut little by little because if it’s not short enough she can always cut more. If she cuts too much, she would not be able to undo it. While she was cutting my hair, I was so nervous but at the same time I hoped that she could be «the one» that I could always go to for my hair needs. When she was done, I looked at the mirror, then she gave me a smaller mirror so I could see the back. My hair was flawless, just like the results I got from the salon in Beverly Hills; I was very happy.
The first time I went to this new location, I was so happy to see her. When I had short hair, I saw her a lot but now I have long hair so I don’t see her often. First she offered me a drink (coffee or tea), then we gave each other an update about our life; I always enjoy talking to her. As usual I tell her what kind of haircut I want but most of the time I leave it up to her to style my hair.

Cat has been cutting my hair for over five years. She is kind, professional, funny, a good listener and communicates well. When I have plans to go out, she loves to help me get all Dolled Up by curling my hair. Cat is amazing, she has great hair cutting and color techniques. I highly recommend her!
