Called them at 12:00pm Friday to service our hood. The lady on the phone was not helpful and seemed that she didn’t care and said the trip to San Ramon would be on over time and I asked why it’s only 12 o’clock the day ends at 5 she said no we start our day early at 7am. Is there anything else you need she asked. I said no thanks and called CBS who is in concord and was at my place with in the hour and their hourly rate lots cheaper and no over time and the manager came himself to assure work was completed properly. Too bad… I am sure this company didn’t need my business I wish the best of luck. Knowing the owner worked really hard to build this business I hope he gets some one better on the phone since that is the first contact with his customers. And I am still puzzled for the overtime charge at 12 pm and expensive hourly rate.

I used home advisor to get a lot of quotes but these guys came in with the best price for the system that I was looking for. I had a furnace and air conditioner installed. The guys that came to do the job were friendly and polite. They were able to work with me on an alternative drain for the over flow for the coils. While the work was being done they kept the area clean and always paid attention to where my kids were for safety reasons. They used shoe covers when they were not walking around on the drop cloth. I would recommend these guys for any heating and cooling service that needs to be done

Broken heater on a cold day is no fun. I was referred to these guys from a friend. They came out, diagnosed the problem, got my part on warrantee (even though I didn’t get the heater from them) and fixed my heater! The tech, Carlos, was awesome. He tested the system repeatedly before leaving. Will be calling them before the heat starts to check out my A/​C unit!

Superior was my third call but was the only one to save us. My 87 year old mother inlay heater stopped working during the cold spell and they were able to get someone out and repaired it in no time. Some of the other companies took two days after the repair was done to even get back to us.
I had them out to my house and for only 69.00 they did a full inspection and found that most for my ducting was leaking costing me lions of money. They are now replacing my ducting and I look forward to saving some money.

I called every air conditioning and heating repair company in the area in the middle of a heat wave to get my A/​C fixed and no one could show up for over a week. (Some companies even laughed when I asked if they could come out earlier). This was not the case with superior! The woman I talked to on the phone Jenn could not have been nicer and more helpful. She had a repair man out to my condo the very next day, and he was professional and on time. They didn’t give me the 2 – 6 hour window if when they may show up either, Jenn told me they would be there at 2 pm and that is precisely the time that the repairman was at my door. He asked me a few questions and began working on diagnosing the problem. He was done with the diagnosis and repairs in a little over an hour and kept me informed with prices, options, and recommendations through the entire process. Not only was the price of the repair cheaper than prices I compared online afterwards, but the repair man was super nice and trustworthy. It’s not always very comfortable having a stranger come into your home, but this man was so nice and I could not have asked for better service. I can’t say enough about this company and the way that I was treated, as well as the results of the repair. My condo is an ice box now! If you need any work done I cannot say enough about how amazing this company is. What a breath of fresh (ice cold) air!

My AC failed yesterday and I was looking for a technician to diagnose the problem. I called up Superior mechanical services and they sent a technician named O.T. He examined my AC unit. He kindly explained each step that he was taking as I watched him run a few test procedures. He identified the problem to be a short inside my compressor in the condenser outside. He was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.

I had just started running whole-​house AC this season, and noticed that it was not cooling the house like it should. A quick check showed that the evaporator coils (inside the furnace/​AC) were freezing up soon after I turned on the AC. As usual, I scoured the internet for troubleshooting tips and learned that it was probably either dirty and clogged evaporator coils or low refrigerant. I’m a DIY guy, but this was beyond my skills. So I called up Superior MSI the next morning, and got an appointment later that day – nice! A service guy named O.T. came out as scheduled and we looked at the system together. I had a lot of questions and he answered them very knowledgeably and professionally. Obviously, the evaporator clearly never been opened, because to get at the inside of the evaporator, he had to cut a triangular sheet metal panel in half (which he later repaired with metal tape). I would never have thought to do that, but now I’ll be able to open it and clean it myself. Inside, we saw that the coils were almost totally blocked by a felt-​like coating of dust that had restricted the air flow. O.T. peeled this stuff peeled off pretty easily, and then cleaned the coils with solvent. Next, we went outside and he hooked up some gauges to the compressor to check the refrigerant level, which was low. We had a nice discussion about temperature differentials and refrigerant levels as he topped off the refrigerant. Finally, O.T. told me what kind of filter to use in the furnace, since I had been using the wrong size and type. So, now the AC is working great – better than it ever has – and I’m looking forward to the coolest summer that I’ve had in a long time! I think the AC has been under-​performing for a few years now due to years of neglect. Thanks to Superior Mechanical Services for a job well done by their professional, courteous and knowledgeable technician. I highly recommend them for any of your heating or cooling needs.

They installed my central heating system, cleaned the ducts, obtained all permits and had the necessary paperwork for me to get a rebate.
