Established in 2011.

Ocean West Carpet Care was created in 2011 after the owner Branston Cyphers concluded 12 years of honorable faithful service in the United States Marine Corps. While on active duty Branston worked with a couple of other local cleaning companies who introduced him to the profession. That is when he found his passion for carpet cleaning and decided to start his own company.

I am probably the most professional, outrageous, generous, motivated, happy and trust worthy all in one person you will ever meet. I have a beautiful baby girl who is sweet as she could be but she tears my house up daily (smile). I am also a college student at the University of Redlands school of Business. I am in this industry because I love providing a service to people and the challenges of building a successful small business. I also want to provide employment opportunities for others especially veterans like myself who are trying to find their way in society.

I want to create the ultimate cleaning service that not only provides friendly service but a company that helps educate people on maintaining their property. My beliefs are… that no job is done until it is done correctly and to the approval of the requesting party.

Awesome Job:) This guy Branston is the real deal for real lol!!! He’s on his game when getting your home ready for either sale, rent or just looking great. He is super nice, well mannered and awesome to chat with. We called Ocean West after we thought our carpet was at a point of no return. My kids and dogs destroyed our carpet and furniture over the course of three years and we were just going to throw them out and buy new.
My friend referred us to this company and we couldn’t be more than happy with them. Ocean West Carpet Care uses the «BEST» and «SAFEST» cleaning products and you can tell too. Our carpet had some dog urine stains because of a few pet accidents and they used an odor neutralizer with their cleaning products to eliminate the smell. Most of our carpet was dry before they left after the cleaning and we couldn’t be happier.
Our microfiber couch was very dirty from spills, food and smelled which they also did an OUTSTANDING JOB on that too. Thank you so much and I highly recommend these guys for anything related to cleaning. 5 Stars all the way:)

What a great service! Branston came by and not only cleaned my sectional but took it upon himself to hit up an area on my rug that had some stains. Couldn’t be happier with the results on both. Super nice guy, a very hard worker and gave me a great price. This is THE guy to get your place looking new again.

Thanks Ocean West. My world is a happier place since you cleaned my carpet. My dog got sick last week from something she ate and I came home to at least twelve areas of evidence of digestive distress. She seemed fine, but I worked on the spots for a couple of hours. I thought she was over it, but I was wrong and I had more to cleanup the next day. By Saturday she hadn’t thrown up in two days, but now the temperature was getting up into the 90s and I could smell that I hadn’t been able to clean well enough. I called Saturday morning and was able to schedule the cleaning for Sunday afternoon — perfect time for me.
Branson is very professional, soft-​spoken, confident, good with my dog, and very effective. I came home to a fresh-​smelling home and a strong hope that neither the stains or the odors will come back.
Hopefully there won’t be a next time soon, but if there is I know who I will call.

WOW!!! I can’t say I haven’t met some awesome people before, but these guys at Ocean West Carpet Care in La Mesa, are nothing less than GREAT! We called to book an appointment for carpet and couch cleaning. Branston the owner was nice enough to squeeze my mom in at the last minute. The two guys showed up at our house were very well mannered, energetic and knowledgable which was a plus for me:). They took the time inspecting my most soiled areas of concern when they arrived and educated me on how to maintain my very old/​worn out WHITE carpet.
Our expensive sofa was really dirty and a bit smelly. My kids spilled fruit drinks, milk, dog drool, and pen/​marker stains from my kids. I almost threw it away before I found out it could be steam cleaned. They were able to remove the bad dog odor from both the carpet and couch… THANK GOD. This company is everything and some! I have heard about a lot of carpet cleaning companies from various friends about being horrible, but that was not the case here. I recommend them to anyone who wants an awesome carpet & upholstery cleaning experience.

Couldn’t have asked for a better carpet cleaning experience. After calling around a few places for quotes, the price was right (lowest of the three I called) and he asked if there were any smells to get out. After the new years celebration, we definitely had a few. I was able to get same day service within a few hours.
Service was on time and excellent! I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Well my first comment would be OMG. Really. You should have seen my couches before Branston worked his magic on them. I was embarrassed by the horrible stains from kids, pets and who knows what. I tried febreeze. I tried spot remover. I even tried shouting them out but all with no avail. I was hesitant about calling a carpet cleaner for my expensive but totally ruined couches but Branston reassured me that I would be more than happy with the results. Boy was that an understatement! He seriously worked some magic, brought out colors i had thought were permanently brown. Oh and forget about febreeze, whatever potion he used made me want to clean the whole house with it. Lastly, I must mention that I was concerned with the couches getting too wet but Branston was on top of this too. Just about all the water was sucked out and then finished with his fans that worked great.
I highly recommend this company for all your upholstery cleaning. You won’t be disappointed!

Just call Branston. Seriously. You won’t be disappointed. Normally I would be inclined to call a «big» name company, but the two major ones got such horrid reviews that I decided to look elsewhere. When I saw that Ocean West Carpet Care got five stars I figured I would support a local business. Branston got back to me immediately and he had time to work us in the next day.
Our carpets had that old dog smell that my Bissel just couldn’t get out. Branston and Mark moved furniture and they were respectful of the house. Branston also got out some seriously dirty spots and smells. Plus they were both so darn nice that we didn’t feel like we were being judged on our house cleaning abilities! Our carpets now look and smell amazing. We also felt he quoted us fairly for the amount of work they did, and we didn’t have that lingering fear that there would be ‘additional charges’. Both Branston and Mark were extremely professional, courteous, upbeat and thorough. I will highly recommend Ocean West Carpet Care to anyone looking for very reasonable, efficient, and quality work. Excellent job! Thank you.

Branston did an amazing job! He was very professional and always had a smile on his face. I needed a microfiber sectional cleaned and all the «mainstream» cleaning companies were quoting me over $ 150-​$ 250.00. I was not going to pay anything close to that! Branston quoted me $ 85.00 and did not charge a penny more. He took his time and did a great job on the couch! I couldn’t be happier!

Branston was amazing!!! I love how professional he was and his passion for his business. My carpets are 100% cleaner then I expected. Contacted them the other day and was able to get an appointment this weekend to get my carpets and rugs cleaned. They were on time and very professional. They explained exactly what they were going to do and how long it would take. It had been a few years since I’d had the carpets cleaned and I had a few trouble spots. They were able to get those out and make the carpet look brand new. They did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have their carpets cleaned.

This company really is as good as it gets! I had lived at my latest apartment for 4 years and my carpets were a mess. I never took my shoes off inside, I raised a puppy who wasn’t house trained, and had my occasional wine mis-​haps. I really needed a thorough cleaning in order to get my full deposit back. Being cheap, I first tried the rug doctor, but after the carpet dried, I could still see stains. I finally decided to get a professional that was affordable and that is exactly what I received. The owner was on time and ready to dissect the troubled areas. He was friendly, respectful and eager to please. On top of that, I love helping out our current and former military soldiers… this was a win-​win. I was able to help a local business, while they were able to help me get my full deposit back. I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Our carpet was installed during the 70’s and I don’t believe it’s been throroughly cleaned in a good decade. Cyph (the owner), made our carpet look new again! We had wine, dirt, and candle stains on various spots around the house and they
were all gone. We have a 3 story townhouse and every room and stairway has carpet and he handled it in 2 hours by himself. That’s pretty amazing. I love supporting local businesses that take pride in their work. Thanks again, Cyph! I will be referring family and friends!
