K Nails Salon

Update time! I mentioned in my last review that I’d never come here again. I lied, I came here multiple times after that.
K Nails salon is defiantly my go to salon for all my manicure and pedicure needs. The staff is friendly, it’s clean, tools are always sanitized and it’s a convenient. In all honestly, I never had to wait to be serviced.
They have a wide selection of gel and regular nail polish that doesn’t look all used and goopy like other salons. All of which are brand named. Who wants to go to a salon and see some $.99 nail polish they got at CVS? Not me! Majority of K’s gel and regular polish is OPI, Gelish, Nubi, and Essie. Huge plus in my book! It’s good to know that they’re serving their customers nothing but the best in the business.
Overall I take back what I said in my last review, I will be forever returning to K Nails Salon.

My mom got a gift certificate to come do her nails here. The lady that did her pedicure, Anna, was very rude. She rushed through the whole pedicure & in the end her nailpolish came out unevenly coated. We will not be returning here again.

I love this place! Go see Ben! He does great massages, and designs anything I show him a pic of. He’s very friendly, and flexible. The staff is friendly, and the Ambiance is calming. I go on week days, so it’s not very crowded, and they take me in right away!

I have had consistency issues with a lot of the nail salons in Kapolei. I have been here twice and I’ve been impressed both times. Unlike the other nail salons, the nail technicians actually take their time to make sure you are getting a great service.
My mom and I got deluxe pedicures which came with calluses removal, some type of leg mask, a sugar scrub, paraffin, and everything else in a normal pedicure. This was $ 42 I believe. It was totally worth it to me!
I had Nancy and she was friendly and really took her time on me. The leg and foot massage she gave me was excellent!
My mom had Lina and she also enjoyed her. She engaged in friendly conversation with my mom and she also gave a good leg massage.
Another plus for me was that it was so clean! All the tools being used were disinfected and the entire place is kept very clean and tidy.

My 50 $ pedi and 40 $ gel mani didn’t even last one week. It lasted 3 days! She painted too many coats. The jewels actually fell off the next day. Id do the service again just not get my nails painted.

Very nice and friendly staff! Nice open salon layout (which feels nice unlike some cramped places), with a TV, which all guest can see. Wide range of polish and gel colors to choose from!
First time trying K nail Salon. While I was on my way I called and asked if they accept walk ins and he told me yes but it would be better if an appointment was made (which IS better) anyways I get there and it’s not too busy (yay!:) I got seated right away and started my gel mani. My nail tech recommended the glitter fade and I loved lol. Got the pedi right after, right away (even after a couple more guest came in), so relaxed :) My nail tech also helped find the color of my gel in the reg Polish to match my toes!

I got the hot stone pedicure (around $ 40)…it was the best! I didn’t get the name of the lady I had, but she was great! She was approachable and had such a warm feeling to her – always smiling and chatting with me.
My feet and legs feel so good and the polish was done well. She took her time and was very precise. The people polish lasted for more than a month. The place was very clean as well. I would definitely recommend coming here :)

If you go basic expect a half assed job. Excuse my language, currently irritable at the moment… I could’ve cleaned my nails better, literally took him 20 minutes to do.
Third time here and I’m sad to say that I will probably never come here ever again, maybe if it’s the ONLY place available. Called 5 minutes prior to arrival to see if they could fit in 2 gel pedis and 1 gel mani as my sisters and I were having a mini girls day for my sisters birthday. The lady who answered assured me that they were «not busy» but sure enough when we arrived we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes. The birthday girl admitted that she had had BETTER cleaning.
The guy I had was not personable whatsoever while my sisters behind me sounded like they were having a good time as they had conversations with their technicians.
*peep the bump on my right thumb nail, my guy was too lazy to remove the lint residue from the towel I used (that they provide) to dry my hands after a wash.

Hands down, the best foot massage and back massage. Customers a few seats down were loving their foot massage too. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this place two years ago when they opened. I had Mai, and she is so friendly and did an awesome job. I shared with her all the good Unilocal reviews she received and she was really grateful. Thank you, Mai.
P/​s scheduled my next pedicure in a couple weeks before going on my trip

Mai was awesome. Such a sweet woman who took her time and did an awesome job. I chose the deluxe pedi and was there for 2 hours. Thankfully I didn’t have to be anywhere else so it was very relaxing and thorough. I will definitely go back to her!

I wanted to find a nail salon that is located in the west side and is clean. I walked in and it was very clean and everyone is friendly. Everyone spoke English which is good because sometimes it’s hard to communicate.
I got a gel manicure (gradation) and a pedicure. It cost me $ 65.00 which is an amazing price. Pedicure came with this scrub which smelt like peaches. The massage was great too!
I found my new nail place. If you go I recommend going to Charlie.

I usually go to Cosmo to get my nails done, but they were booked. Called K’s and they were able to take me and my daughter this morning. My daughter got a mani from the owner and pedi by one of the older ladies and I got mine done by I assume the co-​owner (I think… he wasn’t wearing a uniform). Service was great and I loved the massage. They were all so friendly and my daughter was so happy with the outcome and so was I! He did a superb job on the design (just showed him a pic of what I wanted). Love love my nails!

Granted we were walk in customers. But I did ask if there was available chairs for us to do our nails (me: regular mani/​pedi. My niece: gel full set and pedi)
I was taken right away. He did an «okay» job on both. I loved the hand and foot massage. And the massage chairs. And it seemed clean as far as I can tell. Just an average mani/​pedi
But my niece. OMG. They are still doing her nails as I’m typing this. We got here a little before 4:30. It’s now 6:38…and her nails aren’t even painted yet. It’s kinda ridiculous how long this is taking. If they told me in the beginning it will be a while I would’ve went some place else. I’m kinda irritated.
I dont know any of their names. They seem nice but they just take way too fricken long.

The struggle MAY be over. Since moving to west Oahu I’ve been on the search for a decent nail place to get my Flintstone feet worked on. Let me tell you, it’s been a struh-​gggllee! Call me picky or too OCD but it matters to me that the place is clean, foot baths cleaned and disinfected after every use, filters changed, cutting utensils sterilized and proper ventilation.
I stumbled upon K Nails Salons after a friend’s review of K Nails popped up on my feed. This girl is just as OCD and picky as I am (I’ve read her reviews). Long story short, I came here as a walk in and they were able to take me immediately. Parking was not an issue even though they share the same lot as Chun Wah Kam, a cupcake, pizza and dialysis business. The salon is across the street from Kapolei Theater and opposite corner of University of Pheonix.
I saw nail technicians disinfecting each foot bath with a clorox spray, wiping it down and rinsing it down and cleaning out the drain. Loved it! This place is fairly new — perhaps less than a year old and their chairs are still comfy and not completely worn and torn. I was fortunate enough to get Mai as my nail technician. She is a sweet, elderly woman who was extremely meticulous cleaning my nails and gave the best foot massage! She introduced herself (no name tag) and conversed with me the entire time. Sweet and competent technician!
I left very happy! My nails were so clean and I was satisfied with that as well as the application of polish. I can’t stand it when my nails are not cleaned to my liking and they proceed with the polish. She basically asked me if it was okay before each step. Loved that!
Sometimes at other salons, I get the feeling that if you get too picky with your request (s) they purposely mess you up and plead the foreign language card. Call it paranoia or just plain too picky but it matters to me that things are done right the first time around. I obsess over my pedicure and not so much over a manicure since years of working in the medical field has banned me from using nail polish on my fingers. So if I’m a little OCD about my pedicure, it’s because foot care matters to me.
Overall, I left there extremely satisfied and I think my struggle to find a salon may be over. My polish looks great (not smudged, poorly applied, on the nail and no where else, and nails all cut evenly) and my cuticles trimmed without pain and injury to soft tissue (you know what it’s like when your technician «bites/​nips» off more than just the cuticle). Great first time experience at K Nail Salon!

This is possibly the best pedi I’ve ever had in my life. The place was a ghost town (I went in the afternoon during the week) so I had the whole place to myself. I had a male didn’t catch his name, but I opted for the hot stone pedi. Yes it’s like $ 50 but being 9 months pregnant and not being able to reach my toes it was so worth it. Took about an hour, and included lots of massaging! My nails still look great and I went 3 weeks ago! My only complaint was the stone were a smidge too hot for me but besides that very relaxing!
I went back for another mani pedi and this time I just did the basic. The pedi was awesome! My tech was Mae and she was so sweet and detailed. I could have passed out I was so relaxed! She started to do my mani afterwords but got taken away to do another pedi. I ended up with the manager I think. She was a very nice lady but was in more of a hurry. Still she did a good mani and I’m happy with overall visit. Price wasn’t bad either, cost around $ 60 for both mani pedi with gel on my nails.

Today, I ended up here by complete accident. I initially called and made an appointment for a pedicure at Garden Nails. I drove to what I thought was Garden Nails without using GPS or maps and I arrived to K Nails. Oops.
I didn’t have time to go figure out where Garden Nails was and for whatever reason, I thought I made an appointment at this location and thought it was Garden. Anyways, it doesn’t matter because this was the best accident that could happen.
I walk in and see that they take Walk-​Ins. I ask if they have time for me right then and sure thing I picked a color and sat down right away.
There were three nail techs in there today and only one other customer getting a manicure.
I sat down and the chairs are CLEAN and comfy. There are no paint stains, no rips, and no uncomfortable back or arm rests. Everything was maintained around me. All the stations were set up and ready for anyone at any time. Also, no strong nail smells and the entire place is very well lit.
Off to a good start…
After sitting down and getting stared, another Walk-​In customer comes in for brow waxing and toes. She was also helped right away and by the end, seemed pleased with her services, too.
So back to me…
Best pedicure I’ve had on this island in two years! The woman who did my toes was peaceful, kind, and very meticulous. Someone more detailed than me? Seriously? Awesome! She was picking dead skin by my toes and kept wiping my nails off so the polish would be smooth as a baby’s bottom when applied. Which it is now.
I can’t even get over it. This was good karma and I’m having a very good day.
