Subway

I go to this subway every afternoon about 4:30 and the girls that work here are very polite and quick. They are never skimpy on the veggies and always give extra when asked. I rarely see the owners of this store but if you go in the afternoon there’s only the workers there. I always try to leave the girls with a generous tip because they never showed me bad service.

Extremely slow and notorious for running out of everything. If you expect to get the bread you want or any soup at all you best be there when they open or forget about it.

Shut this place down lose money in my book you get two chances you phuk up both times YOU OUT.

I’m a regular at this location and today they lost my business. They made a mistake on my bill then when I asked for an explanation the owner got mad at me! They were clearly wrong but was upset for giving back the money they charged! They don’t know how to treat their customers! Drive to the next location if you’re craving Subway! This place is the worst! Zero stars (but I had to post 1 star for this post to work!)

So, I checked in here regardless of the ratings, because to me Subway is Subway! Right? Wrong!
The service here wasn’t BAD, but it wasn’t great either. There was no greeting, they we’re really skimpy on toppings, & I had to repeat myself a few times in regards to what I wanted on my sandwich and that I did not want to add extra’s. The guy who rang me up did not speak to me, say thank you, nothing! But hey, that’s cool. I’m not going to sweat that. It was around 10:30 AM and I just finished Pillbox and was more concentrated on eating that awesome pastrami sandwich versus mentally criticizing the Subway sandwich maker. But I will give it to them — That pastrami sandwich hit the spot!

Agreed. Go the the subway by Kailua Town Pub across from Boston’s pizza. Much friendlier service and more generous toppings. I don’t know how they are still open.

All of those terrible reviews before mine are correct. this subway location absolutely sucks! DO NOT go here. I have been here a number of times, due to it’s location and convenience only to be disappointed every single time. If you are craving a subway sandwich just drive that extra 5 minutes into Kailua and go to another location because this one is not even worth it.
Went in to buy two subway foot long sandwiches for myself and the person with me. The bread that I got on the sub was clearly old — it had that taste to it and it was very small (thin — certainly not a foot long.) I ordered the honey oat and there was absolutely no honey taste to it, probably due to a lack of freshness.
I also ordered some avocado on it, only to find it had an unappealing slightly rancid taste to it. (Turns out they also charge you 0.75 per 6 inch for the miniscule amount they give you, not 0.50 like the other locations)
Also, it is true. they are very stingy. extremely so to the point of being ridiculous… on any kind of veggies and when I said I wanted both iceberg lettuce and spinach, the owner’s wife gave me a look like she was about to shoot me. The tomatoes were very thin, (only 3 on a foot long) and tasted yucky and slimy, the pickles were so tiny and it was hard to even find them at all in the sandwich. Nextly, my chocolate chip cookie (one of my fave things about subways) was clearly old. It was crumbly and disgusting and I couldn’t even take more than one bite. Now that is saying something.
To top it off, customer service is horrid. The owner and his wife are the one’s that are always working and never do I ever see them smile or say please and thank you. They are like robots. I told the wife I only wanted salt on my sandwich, only to find her pour pepper on it then say «oops» and put salt instead. No apologies, nothing. Then, when I ask her husband (the owner) for two water cups for myself and the other person I was with (since we were getting 2 foot longs) he grudgingly gives us only one and moves on to the other customer, not even acknowledging us after we had paid. When we sat down to eat (after he bagged up our food) he looked like he was about to faint (I am assuming because he gave us bags that would just be thrown away… talk about cheap asses.)
Only saving grace about this place is that it is clean. hence the one star. Other than that. it just plain sucks: P

I go to Subway enough that had I read the reviews for this one prior to stepping inside, I would have instantly turned away. Everything you’ve heard from the others is true: This place is the worst. Very, very stingy on the veggies, like removing bell pepper strips after they’d been placed on the sandwich.
Worst of all? NO BREAKFAST MENU. None. I’ve never even seen that before, so bravo to you, crappy Subway, for ruining the one good thing the franchise has going for it.

This is by far the worst Subway on the island. The female worker (owner’s wife?) clearly had no idea how to make a sandwich. She forgot cheese and was so stingy on the vegi’s. The quality of freshness was terrible and the bread was cut smaller than 6″. Yes, I measured it when we got back to office. It looked smaller than our other sandwiches. Never again would I go here. I’ll drive further down the road to the others in Kailua. They need to close this one down or get new owners. They can learn a thing or two from the other Subways in Kailua. Shameful!

Absolutely the worst subway ever! They actually count the veggies as they put it on and when you ask for extra they charge? WTF! Terrible, don’t go!

super tight on the fixins. very inconsistent w/​other subways. don’t go here. franchise managers should take note… this subway makes the company look bad.

Just go into Kailua town… the owners are unbelievable stingy. They put three tomatoes on my foot long sandwich, a dusting of lettuce, and the bare minimum of everything else. You will feel cheated if you go, DO NOT EAT HERE!
