Magnolia Bakery

My first visit to Magnolia bakery I bought banana pudding and red velvet cupcake but it was for someone so I didn’t get to try. My second visit I bought their famous banana pudding for $ 3.50 for a small size. I’m actually not a fan of banana anything so I wasn’t too enthusiastic about it. Boy I was wrong. Their banana pudding is light, fluffy and just right on the sweet level. Winner!
I do have to comment on their customer service. Both of my visits weren’t so hot so I hope they really work on it. In fact, if you want cupcakes you have to stand on a separate line and move up to banana pudding line and then turn right to pay for you stuff. The line doesn’t float smoothly. You also have to ask for a bag if you’re taking it home. They don’t ask so you need to ask.
They also have brownies and other desserts that I want to try next time.

This place is pretty good to grab a quick breakfast bite.
Sometimes they can be a little slow to get your food to you. then again when you are hungry any amount of time seems to take forever.
The french toast is pretty filling. I would suggest ordering an omelet with that to balance things out

I’m sorry to say that Magnolia Bakery didn’t live up to its hype. Since its opening, Magnolia Bakery always had a long line. The other day, I passed by and there were only a few people waiting to order, so I jumped in for my chance to try one of their famous cupcakes!
There are two display cases. When you get in line, you start at the cupcake display case. There actually weren’t many cupcake options (quite surprising since it was the middle of the day), but all I wanted was a good red velvet cupcake. Then you move onto the second display case full of other desserts, where you can also order drinks. Their individual Classic Icebox Cakes looked delicious, so I had to pick one up.
Although there were only about 4 – 5 people in front of me, the check out process took way too long. The cashier took a long time to process everyone and had to refer to her coworkers several times. I could’ve eaten several cupcakes in the time I spent waiting to pay. While I’m normally patient, I wasn’t too keen waiting in line with the heat of the sun melting my desserts. If this is typically how long it takes to pay, they should bring your desserts to the cash register when you pay, instead of you holding it in line.
As for the desserts, the Icebox Cake was okay, but not very memorable. And much to my disappointment, the red velvet cupcake was dry. Although I wouldn’t mind trying the other desserts, I probably won’t return anytime soon (especially in that line).

Lots of hype behind this place due to Sex and the City. The bakery is separate from the restaurant. They have cupcakes, brownies, lemon bars and their famous banana pudding.
To be honest, the presentation looked a lot like homemade baked goods and the taste did, too. I had expected a lot more from them given the fact that they are from New York. Their banana pudding tasted like Nilla Wafers with a ton of butter. Their brownies tasted like the ones from the mix.
Unfortunately, the baked goods just didn’t justify the price. I had high hopes, but I can’t recommend stopping by this place.

I was dying to try this place because 1) I’m from New York and 2) it just looks so darn cute.
So they serve breakfast all day long and they’re famous for their banana pudding. I didn’t try either to be fair.
The service was great and our waiter was very friendly and kind. They accommodated our stroller without a look of annoyance, which we always appreciate and note.
I have to say, I wasn’t too impressed by the food. I had the Caesar salad with chicken and my husband had a sandwich (I think Kailua pork). My salad was ok but I would’ve enjoyed a salad from Nordstrom’s café for a few bucks less. My husband said his sandwich was decent but missing a sauce or some sort of dressing.
I wouldn’t go back here for a meal but…
I will give this place one more try for breakfast or pudding, since after all, that’s their claim to fame.

Note: This review is based on the *kiosk* located across from the café. I have noticed many Unilocalers are confusing the two! Same company, but different locations, child.
A spontaneous break from my «other job» my co-​worker and I decided on Starbucks for some coffee and a snowman cookie, or two. We sashayed around the corner onwards to the spanking new Starbucks, but to our amazement we noticed absolutely NO LINE at…

In shock… We double-​take to make sure our eyes weren’t deceiving us. NOOO LINE! Plans changed! Let’s do this! Oh, the international runway models that I roll with *flicks hip*… We decide to see what all the hype is all about. If you’re friends with a Hawaii Unilocaler or NYC Unilocaler you might have read comments like… «Damn, that line is around the block!», «All this for friggin cupcakes?!», «That line tho…», etc.
Since we’re only on a quick break and as spontaneous as this was… We keep it simple… 2 Hummingbird Cupcakes, a Vanilla, Banana Pudding, and Coffee! Okay, the entire set-​up is prob a 1-​star because of the flow… Here’s how to avoid the dejected expression…
MAGNOLIA BAKERY (KIOSK) — HOW TO ORDER:
(1) Place Cupcake orders at first window.
(2) Slide over to the left to order additional pastries, cakes, or drinks, if so desired.
(3) Apparently in section (2) there are usually two order takers, so if you miss the first, the second should be a only few steps to the farthest left side.
(4) Wrap around the corner to pay the cashier and pickup any drinks. Cash or CC okay. Napkins and utensils are here too, with cake toppers, and the area to request cream or milk for your drinks.
Still confused? Yup, the set-​up does suck, but after the first visit… You’ll «get it!»
Since that very first visit, I’ve been back a few more times and with virtually no lines to get annoyed in. My verdict? I’ve had the following, in order of what tastes best IMHO:
(1) Hummingbird Cupcake: In #love with these babies!
(2) Raspberry Scone: Mmm for those wanting less sweet!
(3) Banana Pudding: The hype is real on this one.
(4) Vanilla Cupcake: Classic taste/​super Moist!
(5) Peanut Butter Cupcake: Messy, but still good.
(6) German Chocolate: Not as good as I expected. Okay.
I’ve also had the iced coffee, classic chai, and iced tea. Drinks are on the pricier side. About .50 cents — $ 1 more than Starbucks or the Bean. And nothing spectacular either, so stick with a dessert, but I would suggest a drink from elsewhere.
MAGNOLIA GOES HOLLYWOOD:
The bakery, or I should say the cupcakes are mentioned in several movies and tv shows, including: The Devil Wears Prada, Sex and the City, Veronica Mars, and sitcom Spin City had Charlie Sheen’s character bringing Magnolia Cupcakes to Heather Locklear’s character. Etcetera.
MAGNOLIA OTHER STUFF:
It all began in New York City. The first location opened in 1996 in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan. The bakery is known for its desserts, especially its cupcakes. It has been credited at being the center piece of the cupcake craze of the 1990’s.
MAGNOLIA BAKERY (KIOSK)!
It’s by far NOT my favorite bakery, pricey like the Manhattan project, but I do admit the cupcakes are the freshest out there — moist like a sponge crawling in the rain and fun flavors too! Yet, realize that every flavor on the menu will NOT be available, so come with a backup plan to save a heartache.
And yes, dear friends… There is a difference between the café and the kiosk, like a Cupcake & Muff’kn, but per my lovely friend… I’ll keep that mystery aaa flowing… *winks*
SOLID. GRADE: 4.0-STARS!

This is a quick update of Magnolia Bakery. I came here a few days after they opened and wasn’t impressed. I wanted to try their world renown cupcakes but the selection sucked. They only had two flavors the time that I went, so I got other things instead.
This time around, a month and a half later, it was much better. They had a different assortment of cupcakes and they actually had a price sign up. The Hummingbird Cupcake caught my eye. The unusual name piqued my interest. I was not disappointed.
The Hummingbird Cupcake was more of a banana bread with tiny pieces of pineapple in it. The cupcake was light and moist. The pineapple had a tartness to it that balanced out the sweetness of the cupcake. It was topped with cream cheese icing and pecans. The cream cheese icing was sheer perfection. It was smooth, creamy, and contained the right amount of sweetness.
You need the Hummingbird Cupcake in your life! It was the best cupcake I’ve ever had. Trust me, you will hunt me down and thank me.

For whenever you are craving some banana pudding but would rather eat it at home instead of dining in, this bakery is conveniently located right outside of the café so that you can purchase some and take it straight home. The line can build up pretty quickly, but this tiny bakery is well staffed making your wait not a very long one.
There are a number of other pastries available to try. Many looked very appetizing, but I was set on getting my hands on this banana pudding that everyone has been raving about. I’m not too sure what made me think the banana pudding was an ice cream flavor, but I was a bit shocked to find it was simply just pudding. Ice cream or not, either way, the banana pudding was really tasty. I love my desserts, but I love them even more when they are sweet with a little bit of bitterness, saltiness, or tartness. The banana pudding only had a sweet note and happened to be a little too sweet for my taste. Definitely the perfect treat for those with a very sweet tooth.
As expected, the bananas do brown pretty quickly. I did end up throwing out a carton we did not finish within a week because it grew mold although we left it in the fridge. So, best to finish the pudding in less than a week.

So I tried this place out back in November when they first opened. Because I went the day after their grand opening (I think), they were pretty busy. The line was extremely long but it didn’t feel like I was in line for very long – but in actuality I waited for 30 minutes. While I was in line, one of the workers was going down the line offering free samples though; And they apologized for the long wait.
I ordered 4 cupcakes to go, which came out to $ 15 or so. I ordered a red velvet one – which is pricier than the other cupcakes– a chocolate on chocolate one, a chocolate one with purple frosting and a vanilla cupcake with green frosting. All of them were delicious!
Although they were yummy, they are kinda pricey for cupcakes. I’ll probably just come here every once in a while

The banana bread pudding is amazing. creamy, delicious goodness. And you don’t have to stand in line if you are there to get the bread pudding. You can jump right pass the customers picking out their cucpcakes. Just be polite and say excuse me.
Other than the yummy banana bread pudding, I am not impressed. It’s just nothing like the Magnolia Bakery in New York. The service was poor and it was unorganized. I just felt flustered being in line and couldn’t tell where I was suppose to go to order. Staff was distracted and just not welcoming. Sigh.

Wow there are some brutal reviews of this place so my expectations weren’t high. Factor in the fact the two cupcakes we bought were siting in the refrigerator overnight so we were ready to have a so-​so taste test.
But you know what even if the cupcakes were a little dried out from the refridge and the frosting was hard, they were delicious. I can only imagine how they would be freshly baked. I can name three other local specialty cupcake place on this island that these cupcakes blow away.
Dunno, maybe they were just my style of cupcakes or maybe the secret is to put them in the refrigerator overnight.

I don’t get it other than the «newness» appeal. Saw the long line and figured must be good. Went another day during the morning, and there was no line, so I made my move.
The cupcakes are deceptively plentiful. They look great with different colors but really, there’s only like four flavors — chocolate, vanilla, and two specials (red velvet and a banana one at the time). So the trays of cupcakes are really not different, exotic flavors.
The line to order is also weird. There’s a sign telling patrons to continue down the line if you’re not getting cupcakes. But really, you can’t move forward since it does feel like you’re cutting in front of everyone and really the queue from the cupcake window to the cashier isn’t very far.
Oh, the cupcakes? Okay. Again, looks great, tastes okay. Not sure if any better than cupcakes from other cupcakeries (is that a word?). I heard the banana pudding was good, and it definitely outshone the cupcakes. Since there was no wait, I also ordered an espresso drink. Only whole, fatty milk. No skim, 1%, or 2%. Soy? Oh wait, we don’t have that either. I ordered a (fatty) mocha which is my usual test drink. Yup, just a latte with chocolate syrup squirted in. Yeah, no more drinks for me from there.

Magnolia is doing much better now! I was cruising through the mall when I saw no line and stopped by. A few things have changed:
–much better signage
–more variety, including pumpkin spice cupcakes!
–cake is more moist
–chocolate buttercream frosting tastes chocolatey
Great job on improving your business. I look forward to coming again!

Haven’t tried the café yet, just tried the kiosk. Honestly, I nearly cartwheeled in my office when I saw online that Magnolia Bakery was coming to Alamoana! Ever since I tried the banana pudding in NYC (see my NYC review– I was having a moment with that BP) I’ve needed this bakery back in my life.
Which leads me to say… Gaaaaaaaah’damn y’all are harsh on a spot that has been open for like 5 mins! Give them some time to get acclimated before dogging the business with 1 star reviews because the lines were long and there weren’t any desserts left by the time you got to the front. Of course that’s what’s gonna happen when 50 million ppl are in front of you… desserts get sold. Nature of the business!
Ok…back to my review. Just had to get that out of my system… lol…
HYPES:
Yup! Still got that bomb banana pudding that I remember in NYC! The only thing I would say that made the banana pudding a little more enjoyable in NYC is the weather. Lol yeah that’s kind of weird to say, right? But it was a little hot today and my banana pudding, though still amazing, just got slightly warm. I preferred it in the colder climate.
There was a griper ahead of us who was cussing out this sweet cashier guy. I didn’t hear the whole story, but cmon y’all…unless the server was blatantly rude, they shouldn’t be treated like scum– & I doubt this gentleman was rude. He just didn’t seem the type. Anyway, when my guy and I got to the front, we could sense the frustration & did what we could to joke & make him smile. Service is a-​ok in my book! :)
Also, the black ice coffee straight up is so good! It can stand alone. It’s one of those.
GRIPES:
They need more overhead covering in the kiosk area. Standing in line in the dead heat right under the sun was unbearable. But to tell you the truth, the banana pudding is so bomb that I would stand in the scorching heat for it every now and then.
Can’t wait to try the café and more items from here! Hopefully they’ll get in the groove soon and more people can appreciate this awesome bakery!
…Btw, that banana pudding though!!! *hearts in my eyes*

Finally, no line at Magnolia Bakery! Since it opened, every time I’ve come to the mall there has been a line and I refuse to wait in line just for banana pudding.
Today there was no line and yet when I went up to the counter, NONE of the workers immediately asked what they could get for me. I have no idea what they were doing but they certainly weren’t paying attention to their customers. Finally after a few minutes, my husband was able to flag someone down to order his iced vanilla latte. Based on the drink menu they have size small and large (sm/​lg) but when he tried to order a large the guy said they only had medium… Ummmmmm, ok…
In the meantime, a girl came to help me get my large banana pudding. I was also thinking about getting an apple tart pastry thing but wanted to know the price first. Well, she didn’t know and had to go find out. =/​ummm, I’m sorry but if you work there shouldn’t you at least know the prices of what you’re selling? Come to find out it was $ 7!!! So I didn’t get it.
Then when my husband went to the cashier to pay, the Asian guy working the cash register was the most unfriendly guy with a sour look on his face. He really looked like he hates his job. It took forever for him to ring my husband up because he was talking to another customer at the same time. Ummmm, rude!
In spite of all that, I’m giving 3 stars because my husband really enjoyed his latte and my daughter and I LOVED the banana pudding. At $ 6.50 for the large size, it’s definitely not cheap but I think the portion is decent and the taste makes it totally worth the money!!!
I would definitely come back again but I hope the next time I do, they have better customer service!

The other night I went to the Kiosk because people all around me where raving about how good Magnolia was and the cupcakes were to die for.
I stood in a long line for about 20 minutes only to see 2 cupcakes available. Either the regular or a red velvet. So I got both and some chocolate chip cookies. I was disappointed that there wasn’t any banana pudding cupcakes left as I heard through the coconut wireless and on Unilocal that this was the one to try.
So this review is based on the cupcakes I did try. Both the regular and red velvet were good. But not spectacular. I mean for the price i was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t earth shattering. I would have been happy with any other cupcake at one of the other local gourmets.
I will say however that the chocolate chip cookies I had were awesome. I’d go back for the cookies over the cupcakes. Though I will have to try the banana pudding one day but for now I’ll wait a bit till the hype dies down so I don’t have to stand in another long line.

Magnolia Bakery opened on Nov. 12, 2015 and it was sheer chaos. The new Ewa Wing of Ala Moana was so crowded that I waited until the Monday after to check out the famous bakery.
I’ve never been to a Magnolia Bakery on the mainland, but this Hawaii location is the first to have an actual café. I can’t wait to eat there – namely for the «Red Velvet Pancakes” – but I decided to give the restaurant some time to get the kinks worked out.
The restaurant opens at 9:30 a.m., but I was waiting around 9:15 a.m.; I just wanted to get some of their baked goods to go. But, there was no sign that distinguished the restaurant from the kiosk. I later learned that you can only get the baked goods at the kiosk and not at the restaurant. I was standing in the line for the restaurant – and at the entrance, they only let a few people in at the time – but I was redirected to the separate kiosk when I reached the front of the line.
If the kiosk had signs and all the baked goods were labeled, the system would be really efficient. However, none of the bakery items are labeled, so I didn’t know what was what. Even at opening, there were only two cupcake flavors available – chocolate or vanilla – so I could easily tell the difference between those two. But the icebox hand pies were not labeled, and there were three different flavors to choose from. I saw brownies and blondies in the display, but it would have been helpful to know what was in the blondies. So, my advice would be to have all the baked goods labeled so customers don’t have to ask the workers and cashiers what everything is before deciding what to buy. It would be good to have the cupcake flavors of the day labeled as well, or on display somewhere.
I know Magnolia is famous for their banana bread pudding, but since I wasn’t going straight home – and couldn’t refrigerate my baked goods – I just have to try it on another visit. Same goes for that «Snickers Ice Box Pie.» I love how those ice box pies were individual sized and the crust looked like it was made from OREO cookies. I definitely want to try those on another visit.
For this particular trip, I just settled on two cupcakes. I got two chocolate ones – one for my mom, one for my auntie – and I chose two different decorations. It’s cute how you can choose the different-​colored frostings even if you get the same cupcake flavor. Each cupcake is $ 3.50. I was disappointed that they didn’t have «Red Velvet» during the time of my visit, but I’ll be back in a few weeks (hopefully when the crowds die down).
Even with all the chaos and disorganization, customer service was great and the lady at the register was really friendly and helpful.
After all of that, I was rather surprised with how much I enjoyed the chocolate cupcake. Even after traveling with me for most of the day – and sitting in the fridge for a few hours, because the frosting was starting to melt by the time I got home – the cupcake was really moist and soft. The frosting seemed to melt in my mouth! I really liked the chocolate flavor and the cake wasn’t dry at all. The cupcake itself wasn’t as rich or chocolaty as some cupcakes are, but I still really enjoyed it because it tasted light. I normally don’t like a lot of frosting on my cupcakes, but this one didn’t have too much. It’s a pretty even ratio of cupcake to frosting and I enjoyed every bite. My favorite cupcakes are still Sprinkles Cupcakes, but these are the closest I’ll get to Sprinkles for now.
Even though the bakery and café seemed really disorganized, I would return to Magnolia in a few weeks to hopefully try more of their products. I had renewed hope because this cupcake was so good, and I’m still holding onto the hope that those «Red Velvet Pancakes» will be phenomenal.

What is this shop in the middle of the Ewa extension of Ala Moana Shopping Center?
And WHY are so many people in line?
That trail of thought is probably what hundreds, if not thousands, of shoppers felt during the monumental weekend where Ala Moana unveiled its beautiful Ewa wing expansion.
It’s hard not to notice the quaint décor with pastel hues in the middle of a bustling modern shopping center. The bakery has some delicious treats, and I’m not just talking about their cupcakes! In fact, that would be the last thing I’d put on my wish list when they have so many other sinful treats to sink your teeth into.
Have you tried their banana pudding? Even if you’re not a huge fan of ‘nanners, this seemingly simple but refreshing treat has got me thinking, «I wonder what this would be like with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee?» For $ 5.00, you can try it yourself and ponder about life while sitting on the beautiful grassy lawn right in front of the store.
I also splurged and got the banana cream mini pie as well as the red velvet cupcake. The banana treats were similar in freshness, but very different in filling. The pudding had fresh chunks of bananas with vanilla cake and pudding, while the pie had more of a whipped cream filling and hints of banana flavors. The vote is in: the pudding prevailed. The red velvet cupcake was okay, but nothing to write home about IMO. Not that it was bad, but I wouldn’t make a special visit for it. I would, however, for that darn pudding!
The service was rather slow, but as to be expected with their inaugural opening weekend. The staff seemed fatigued, and I was getting the scraps of their Manic Monday so I completely empathized. The cupcake masters were putting their best faces forward, and the cashier was making small talk with her coworker while a dozen sweet-​toothed customers were patiently waiting in line. My only criticism would be the indifference it projects to the public, but I could only imagine how crazy the last 72 hours must have been.

You don’t even know how excited I was about Magnolia Bakery opening in Ala Moana especially after this was made a daily stop in NYC when my bf and I visited a few years ago.
Sooooo, November 12 it was finally unveiled! I took off from work and stood in the wrong line (for the Café, not the bakery) for about 10 minutes before I realized and jumped into the correct line with 3 others who were with me in the other line. Anyways, after the agonizing ~50 minute wait, mesmerized by the staff frosting the cupcakes in their signature, glorious, smooth buttercream flick of the wrists ways, I finally got to the cupcake counter (bottleneck of the entire line for sure) I ordered 6 cupcakes, originally only planning on getting 2. I also picked up a small banana pudding which is oh-​so-​delicious and famous and a snickers pie.
After paying $ 34.50 (no tax, hmm?!), taking a mouth-​watering picture on their white marbled counters, I went happily on my way to deliver the sweets to my working boyfriend. On the way home, I decided to eat one and was SORELY disappointed. DRIEST cupcake in my life. I swear grocery store cupcakes are way better. UGH, why Magnolia, WHYY!?!
Here’s what I got:
$ 3.50 each — CUPCAKES — total disappointment. DRY DRY DRY. Buttercream was good but too much in my opinion. Sugar overload to mask the dry, unimpressive cupcakes. Totally not NYC standards.
$ 10.00 — Snickers Cheesecake Pie (about 5″ or so in diameter). Yum! Oreo crust, cheesecake on top of peanut butter. I would get this again. But $ 10 is pretty pricey for this size.
$ 3.50 small BANANA PUDDING — custardy, nilla wafery, puddingy, banana-​ey goodness. As i remember it from NYC, anyways. This will not be a disappointment if you like banana cream pie. This cannot be screwed up and is as glorious as it was in NYC (which is why I’m giving them a couple stars) and hopefully giving them another chance as time passes and they work out the «kinks» and they perfect their cake recipe. My boyfriend also hasn’t had the snickers pie yet and it’s our first time trying that, so there’s nothing to really compare to.
Staff was «ok» — I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since it was day 1 and it was B-​A-​N-​A-​N-​A-​S but still, I think that’s when you have to make the best impression!?! The cupcake helpers were not friendly at all. Cashier was busy and friendly, but I felt more rushed than anything.
The store front was clean and white — so inviting and «open»… i loved. The seating is limited but I love their white tables and their packaging is cute.
Cupcake bottle-​neck area took forever. I think they should have their boxes pre-​made cause it took awhile for the 2 girls to unfold the boxes, put in the insert that holds the cupcakes, then place them neatly in the box without ruining the pretty frosting! It just took REALLY long at this point.
I most definitely won’t be back for the cupcakes but I wouldn’t mind trying their other treats and their drinks. I also hope they bring the red velvet and key lime mini cheesecakes to Hawaii cause those were amaaaazing in NYC.
Please improve, Magnolia Hawaii. I really want to love you and give you 5 stars!

With high expectations, we stood in line for the «breakfast-​all day» café to open its doors while servers came out from their bakeshop with trays filled with various sample of Magnolia Bakery’s goodies. We managed to sample signature brownies, blonde brownies, lemon bars, red velvet and vanilla cupcakes. The wait didn’t seem that long AND being that it is their opening day, we anticipated there might be some service hiccups.
While standing in line, an old friend happened to see us so we asked if he’d join us… he happily did as we were already close to the entrance. We made room for the Chinese Lion Dance to bless the opening and then we were promptly seated. Our server cheerfully greeted us and informed us that there were several menu items not available but, for the most part everything else was. We were served our coffees which were at perfect temperature, nice and strong. Then we placed our orders. I suppose that one could say our food took some time to come out but we were so busy catching up that it didn’t matter to us.
THE FOOD:
— Apple Dutch Pancake was served in a personal skillet, um, 6″? Our friend said he liked it because the pancake was light and fluffy. To him, it seemed more like an omelette or even soufflé-​like. The cinnamon apples were sweet but not overly sweet and complimented the light pancake. $ 9
— Reuben Bake: Go Big or Go Home! Another personal skillet menu item that came out with its hot melting Gruyère cheese oozing over a layer of roasted potatoes, sauerkraut and chunks of tender corned beef. It was like having a NYC deli sandwich without the bread. Oof! Geez, talk about «sticking to my ribs»… I’m still full and don’t think I’m gonna eat linner. (it’s been about 6 hours since eating). $ 13
— Tomato Bacon Sandwich: This was a hefty classic grilled cheese sandwich filled with luscious grilled tomato slices and crisp bacon. The cheese was meltingly good with the sweet tomatoes as the crisp bacon added its smoky-​saltiness to balance the flavors. The eggy and somewhat sweet brioche bread added to the richness of the sandwich. $ 12
–Coffee service: The Peet’s coffee was served hot, good and strong! Um, we each drank about 4 cups while chatting. There was no problem with refills. Both our water glasses and coffee cups were refilled without us asking.
We were blessed that Chief Baking Officer, Bobbie Lloyd stopped by to chat with us as we congratulated her with opening this café. We also met with one of the managers (?) who was apologetic about the slower service because of the crush of people trying to get in to dine and they still had a few «kinks» to work out in the kitchen.
Even with apologies, we understood the opening day hiccups and we’re not that difficult to please. We enjoyed our dine and would return for more!
