if you want to ruin your vacation, rent a moped there!
They will make any reason such as late a minute, invisible scratch, gas, etc… they will charge extra when you return.
Not only charge extra but also he angry and yell to your face. One of the worst experience in paradise.
(But, an Asian girl works in the morning, she is really nice and she better find new boss)

I returned my moped and the guy said everything was good, then a day later there was multiple charges to my account due to a mystery scratch that costs $ 290. Oh and it wasn’t covered in the insurance that I paid for, go figure.
I did no damage to the moped and had already flown back to California so I could not properly dispute the claim. Judging by the other reviews he has become a «pro» scam artist.
I promise, you DO NOT want to do business with this company.

Wrost place ever! This place is scam! He tired to charge for screeches on the moped that were already there. I called the police to get my money back. Funny thing is the cops know him by first name and said this happens all the time! Beware!

This place is a mess. Very dishonest. Had to call the police and when they came, they knew the guys name as he has a reputation for scamming people. He claimed we scratched his mopeds which we did not. Then he tried to destroy the damage history form right in front of the police but they found it in the trash and made him refund his extra charges. The guy is drunk too. I am sure my credit card will have problems in the future and I have to report him to the bank. When he swipes your card the old fashion way, he used multiple forms to carbon copy your credit card and signature with no dollar amount and he adds his own charges to your charge later on.

Worst experience ever! A terrible dishonest business that I did report to the BBB. Inexperienced staff. The owner, Richard, was the rudest most unprofessional person I had ever met. He was yelling at me for scratches on the moped and charged my card $ 400 without my consent and kept my $ 30 cash after just driving it out of the driveway. Then when he claimed that my card would not go through so he charged my cousin $ 400. I then walked over to his shop willing to negotiate a price but told him he needed to refund my cousin’s money and he refused. He also had 2 empty 6 packs of beer on the counter in his shop! I’ve asked him for a copy of the contract and still have not seen it! This place is by far the worst place I have ever done business with! Do not go here unless you’re prepared to be scammed

I wish I could put 0 stars. This place is a joke! Owner lives in South Carolina and there is no management. They pretend to have the best prices in town at $ 116 for 3 day rental but BE CAREFUL!!! We returned them in the condition we rented them as, the lady said thank you and everything was great. But… Once you check the scooter back in they hit you with additional fees days later! My brother was hit with a $ 40 fee, me $ 500. Who knows how many others have been scammed! When I called I got nowhere with the «manager» and the owner has still not returned our calls. Do Not Rent Here!

Anyone notice the good reviews were all in one day… and Alex, you work there. Yours don’t count. Looks suspicious.

Great place to rent from. New scooters very easy to deal with. Great price. I rented a scooter for the week and no problem with it. The gentlemen there even offered to give me a ride to the airport. I come to Honolulu every three months for work and will rent from them again. Thanks for the rental…

When I first read the reviews I was alil skeptical but I called them and talked to the new Owner Richard and discovered that he took over a struggling business. After a few mins on the phone I felt comfortable and rented the scooters. GREAT MOVE! The service was not only great, they picked me and my wife up from our hotel and gave us brand new scooters to rent. just $ 25 for 24 hrs plus $ 10 insurance (its best to get the insurance since there are crazy drivers out there). my wife and I had fun seeing the sights in the scooters and recommend this place to anyone!

I was walking around looking for an apt an came across Richard and his staff. They were absolutely WONDERFUL ! They really went above and beyond there way for me. They worked with me on the price and gave me as many lessons as needed until I got the feel for the bike. They are very helpful and really nice. I ended renting the bike for a week and am glad I did. I will defently use them again. Going anywhere else is nuts! These guys are great, they have great prices and great service. You won’t regret it.

very unpleasant experience. we got scammed. the people at this business are scam artists. when we returned the bikes they tried to charge us for scratches on the bike that were already indicated on the inspection sheet when we rented the bike. We called the police. The next day there were multiple charges on all of our credit cards. Seems like this is common with this company.
Stay away from this company if you dont want to be scammed.

This business is a criminal operation. I wish I had read the reviews on here before renting from them. We returned three mopeds undamaged. They tried to argue that one had been damaged and charge $ 100 for that moped. We called the police and then walked away. Within an hour they had charged all three credit cards multiple times totaling $ 900. All three of us reported fraud to our credit cards and had to have our accounts cancelled.
These guys are aggressive and corrupt. Stay away.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! We rented bicycles and one of the locks was taken while we were out… owner charged us $ 75 dollars!!! This place is a scam, if u don’t want to get ripped off – go somewhere else!!!

We rented mopeds from Hawaii on Wheels earlier this week, and I was not impressed. We chose them because my brother-​in-​law, who is only 16, wanted a tour on moped during his visit to Hawaii. So, they agreed that he could ride one of their mopeds.
Over the phone, we agreed on the standard moped which was $ 40 for 24 hours. When we arrive at the shop at our appointment time, the shop was closed, and no one was inside. The guys at the next shop down told us that he only shows up when people call him. So, I called him and he was there in about 5 minutes.
His wife started writing up the contracts for the rentals while he was rolling the mopeds outside. She wrote the price down for cheaper than what he told me over the phone, but I wasn’t going to complain. However, when he walked in and saw what she had written, he flipped out. Cussing at her and telling her she was fired and to go home. She was almost in tears and apologized to us and pointed out that she had hearing aids and was part deaf. He then proceeded to complain about her to us, and it was very unprofessional. I literally thought it was a joke at first, because he was that rude to her, and in front of customers.
He then charged us even more than he said over the phone, and said all of his standard mopeds were rented out, so we had to get the sport models. It was only $ 5 more because of my military discount, so I let it slide.
We then walked out to the mopeds and looked them over. I wrote down everything, but he was very nonchalant and said he knows every mark on them anyways, so we didn’t need to worry. We still wrote all the marks down, and took pictures. One of the mopeds had no working turn signals, and two had a broken mirror, which was inconvenient.
So, we were on our way. With mopeds that were supposed to do at least 40mph, two of the four mopeds would touch 40mph. The other two were pushing about 25 mph top speed. This was very inconvenient, and led to a lot of waiting around. In town, it’s not too bad, but if you want to go to the other side of the island, it’s very inconvenient.
We then returned them the next day, and we were at the shop at 9am, which he knew. Two calls later, he caught a cab and was at the shop at 9:35. He then looked over all of the mopeds very thoroughly, and almost made us feel like we did something wrong by asking us what we broke on them.
Also, they made a copy of all of our ID’s and credit card, in which we asked for them back after we turned them in, and he said they had to keep them. Not the biggest issue in the world, but something that I would have liked back, just because the shop is very small, and you never know these days. I’m not saying they are dishonest in any way, I’m just simply saying.
Overall, the mopeds were fun, but definitely not worth the hassle. If I could do it again, I would go somewhere else.
