Will have to update again when I go another time, because we went near closing time and the music was off and people were done for the night. They do have a pool table, which is prominent before the bar, it’s in the center of the room(just one big room). Yes, there are interesting people there, definitely not like One Republik. Might go back if there’s a reason to

Hoboken’s only real rock and roll bar. Locals love it. Fantastic music. Great prices, people and awesome bartenders. A++++

What a gem. That is all i gotta say. I hate the douchebags and drunk mid 20’s people that heard into the other bars in hoboken. However, at DC’s youll get an eclectic bunch to say the least. Very nice people tho, and the bar tender i had was down to earth, I was one of maybe 3 women in this bar on a friday night – which was a nice change for me. It seems as if everyone is centered around the pool table. SO bring your cue. Also, the prices are reasonable to say the least, the music is good, and its not blasting to the point of you not being able to hear your date. Speaking of date, i took a lucky contender here for our 3rd date, and he loved it. So if youre lookin to impress someone, this is the place people…

One of the best divey gems in NJ. Best part– DJ, pool, cold beer. and the chill of staff. Welcome!.. bask in the lack of frat boy doucheyness.

DC’s Tavern is not your typical Hoboken bar. This is not a yuppy spot. This is not a college bar. This a dive, and a very good one at that. The tap list is not extensive, but it has quality brews. I was able to grab some Oskar Blues on tap. I am not sure if they run many deals, but the prices were reasonable so they don’t truly need to. They also have a pool table! A bar is not a bar without a pool table. If you want to simply relax and have some drinks, just go to DC’s. Forget the hullabaloo at the rest.

DCs is your neighborhood dive bar. Service is a bit standoffish, and the clientele can be as well. I also think the prices are a bit high for what it is. However, if you are looking for a dive bar and want a quick drink this place works.

Cool dive spot. Great place to knock 1 or 2 back. If it was the east village this place would be all the rage. A must stop location for any bar crawls or for things to just get weird.

Love this bar! Small as hell. Smallest bar I’ve been in– EVER! Punk Mod crew. Old school all the way. Good music and cheap beer. The only bar in Hoboken that still gives buy-backs! That’s effin rare!!! Jim the bartender is cool. Play some pool, drink some PBR and enjoy the conversation. Have Fun.

Really lame. We came here thinking this place would be great — we love dive bars and live in Hoboken, but it was over priced, brightly lit and full of unfriendly regulars. I think it’s interesting that a lot of the reviews for this business are from Unilocalers who have only written one or two reviews total. The size and layout of the bar makes things very awkward, and it’s just straight up bad business to be rude to locals. I won’t be coming here again.

Keep walking. Shit hole full of douches. Unless you have visible tattoos or a stupid looking irish hat they’ll resent you for some reason. If you want to be a hipster, JC will welcome you with open arms.

DC’s is exactly what Hoboken needs. It’s the perfect spot to grab a drink at the bar alone or go with friends and actually be able to hear them. The bar tenders will learn your names if you hang there a few times and they’re super helpful if you have questions about a drink you’ve never tried before.

Me and my bro checked this place out last night and just as we walked in someone had pantera blasting. Never thought id hear metal blasting at a bar in hoboken so that got our liking. Cool small dive bar and everyone seems chill.

One time, not so long ago, the majority of places in Hoboken were totally cool… Not anymore… DC’s is one of the few holdouts… decent crowd that holds their liquor; cool tunes; friendly bartenders and the vibe is real… thank the gods…

To find a dive bar that is cheap and grate in Hoboken? I am in heaven and it’s flowing beer everywhere. Forget the main bars in Washington. This place is awesome and won’t leave your wallet empty and your liver asking for more!

A great find. Something of a backwoods, rockabilly dive bar. A Tennessee basement in Hoboken NJ. You’ll likely see men with beards mulling around the pool table, while rock or punk or some indie band plays(loudly). Check out their record swap event and other seemingly random parties. On the right day you’ll(almost) forget you’re still in Hoboken.

I thought I was different enough from the rest of the Hoboken crowd that this would be a great spot to make my go-to. I, apparently, am not. If you show up in a collared shirt, you’re going to get the cold shoulder from the regulars. Add to that an unimpressive tap selection and not quite enough seating, and you’ve got a place that misses the mark for most people. And I think that’s exactly what they’re going for.

I love a good jukebox, cheap pints, and elbow room. This is probably one of the last dive bars in Hoboken. Unlike your NYC dive bar, here people are super friendly, bathrooms aren’t destroyed grossness, and the booze isn’t water. Try something in a mason jar if it suits you. Off the beaten path, you might need to know where your going to find it, but once you do, you’ll be glad. Rock music seems to keep the yuppies away! Try the booze, it’s delicious!
