Though the quality of food is good, the service is meh. There is often a bit of a wait to get a table.

This business is CLOSED for remodel until the end of February. So sad we missed this place during our road trip through Oregon.

Studio one is awesome. It has a great happy staff, awesome food, and good portions. There aren’t that many great breakfast places in Eugene, this one is defiantly my go to for a reason. I like their biscuits and gravy the best probably but they have some pretty great french toast too.

Love the décor, the neighborhood (especially when college students are away) and the food is amazing! Everything I have tried was wonderful!

Studio One is either exhibit A or B in both of the following cases: 1) Eugene’s semi-​emerging foodie inclinations are in economic conflict with its lack of popular understanding of what good food is and 2) If you have good taste in food, avoid prepared breakfast in Eugene, as a rule.
It’s not hard to understand why we can’t have nice things when there’s routinely an hour+ long wait and rave reviews proclaiming poorly poached eggs in a mediocre eggs benedict and overly sweet, ham-​fisted fruit compote on french toast as «best breakfast in Eugene!!»

Good food, great breakfast spot with a killer coffee. Busy though expect to wait.

Its my sister’s 21^st Birthday and I wanted to start off the morning with a good brunch (mimosas!). We ended up going to Studio One Café and our overall experience was extremely good! The venue was cozy and was movie themed, which we both thought was really cool. Not only did they have options for meat lovers, but they also had vegetarian and vegan options. I chose to go with a half order of the Big Easy, which was basically a meatless eggs benedict with cajun hollandaise – there was also jack cheese, a tomato, and spinach. There was a side of potatoes that were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. My sister had two egg whites (exactly how she likes em), potatoes, and sourdough toast. We both had an orange-​cranberry mimosa – it was very refreshing! The individuals who waited on our table were extremely nice and accommodating – asked us at least once how our meal was and made sure our coffee cups were filled. I will definitely be visiting Studio One Café again next time I’m in Eugene

Place has dropped a little… Eggs Benedict changed from english muffin to a homemade ciabatta roll. It says english muffin but it’s closer to a ciabatta roll. I appreciate them trying to make a more quality product but it’s not the same. Maybe put a note on the menu and or give a traditional english muffin as an option. I also tried the chilaquiles tortillas which were good but really lacked in the amount of meat. (One bite)

I was in the area and decided to stop for breakfast… It was amazing! I got the Animal House Benedict and a chai latte and my dad got the Big Easy Benedict and loose black tea. Both were served with very crispy home fries. The food was wonderful and came fairly quickly after we ordered. The servers are friendly and helpful but they are very busy at 9am on a Saturday, so I would recommend coming a little bit earlier.

Excellent all around!!! I read all of the reviews before going for breakfast. Thanks to all that review, it paints a balanced picture of what to expect.
Hubby had the Animal house Benedict and loved it. I had the homers Benedict (no muffin to deal with since I am gluten intolerant). The BEST hollandaise say space I have had in years… Delish!!! I enjoyed the home fries, but this would be a «once in a blue moon» kind of thing for me, hubby said he would choose something else as they are deep fried… But tasty!
Coffee was awesome!
Our server Austin, was very charming. We will be back!

Brunch quality is the STAR of the show… but the annoying buzzing flies could easily dock this review to 2 stars.
Studio One was our last Oregon foodie stop before heading back home during our road trip. Food here is 5 stars. It’s got a grandma’s-home-vibe, especially when it starts raining :) Our breakfast benny was delish and there were no complaints about the pancakes and potatoes around the table.
However, the moment we walked in, we almost gagged at all the flies that were parked on the wall and the countless ones that tried to land on our faces. I don’t understand this… at ever food establishment, sanitation and aesthetics should be at the forefront! THIS IS FOOD, and no one wants to eat when there are flies buzzing about! Anyways, we couldn’t stomach sitting indoors with all the flies, so we moved outside and had a 5-​star experience outdoors (sans flies). If you can, sit outside because even if it rains, you’ll have an awning to protect you!
Our server was a tatted up dude who was friendly, kind-​hearted, and there when we needed him. Service here is super chill, almost IHOP-​status, but really all we cared about was the yummy food! It looks like there were lots of locals here as well as students. There are lots of tables, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here with a super large group. The café is basically inside a screen-​door-​swinging Dorothy from Wizard of Oz’s house model, so it’s almost got a countryside ambiance.

Hands down my favorite place for brunch in the campus area /​Eugene in general. Their eggs Benedict is their specialty (and what I have always ordered), and they have many varieties. It’s a great place for anyone who loves a good savory breakfast, plus it’s very reasonably priced and they offer both indoor and patio seating. Great for dates, families, large or small groups. But get there early because the place gets PACKED.

We really like this place. It’s quirky and has a very Eugene-​esque menu.
Sams favorite is their salmon bagel. OMGosh, this thing is loaded with cream cheese and salmon… almost always FAR more than Sammy can eat. Occasionally the bagel is a bit hard but she gets it every time.
I tried their special French toast. Um, no… never again. Regardless of how eloquently it is described it is dry and bland. PS cooked strawberries are not visually appealing. Note to the chef, try fresh berries over the flaccid, pink/​grey spoonfuls of warmish strawberries.
That being said their eggs Benedict totally made up for that on our 2^nd visit (in as many months). Yummy scratch hollandaise sprinkled with first Cajun seasoning atop crisp, bright green spinach and deep red tomatoes with perfectly ripe/​buttery avocado.
Despite how busy this place is we’ve always been seated, served and left promptly.
My recommendation… sit on the porch and linger over your grub!

I was looking for a new restaurant this morning to go to after work with my husband. I found this place on Unilocal,with great reviews. So we decided to try it. For a fairly early Sunday morning, it filled up pretty quickly, but it wasn’t crowded. The waiter handed us menus and told us to sit wherever we wanted. It was very causal and informal. Parking is not spectacular. It’s a tiny lot, with room for three cars, if they’re small. I’m parking on the street next time to make it a little easier.
I ordered an omelette and my husband had bacon and eggs (I can’t remember the name of the dish). Both were very good, served quickly and were both hot and fresh. Nothing looked like it had been waiting for us under a warming lamp. The waiter came back to check on us, talk to us and was quite helpful. It was obvious he enjoys his job and likes being there.
Portion sizes were good. My husband and I both finished our plates (I had a little help from him with mine. Lol.) They give you one slice of bread, cut in half. Which is perfect for me. I find it such a waste to get any more than that because I never eat it all.
The owner cashed us out when we were done, starting a nice conversation, and appeared to be genuinely interested in what we had to say. It was again obvious that he enjoyed being there. You can always tell when someone dislikes their job, but that’s not the case here.
I would describe it as quaint, a little quirky place, but comfortable and casual with great food. I can’t wait to go back and try the French toast.

This place has a great breakfast! Since I’m trying to be healthy, I did not order the French toast. I feel that once I do, I will have to upgrade my rating to a 5 star! Hubs and I both got the choose your own adventure omelet and they were delish! They put whole strips of bacon inside and are not shy about the fillings! We can walk to this restaurant, so I’m a happy bruncher!

Awesome breakfast! Had my sweet n savory tooth both satisfied with the French toast with homemade berry compote and almond custard. Looks too sweet but it was perfect! And eggs and thick smokey bacon! Bonus: coffee was delish too! I’m ready for my day !

Good breakfast, but felt rushed.
This place started out pretty good but kinda went down hill from there. We were seated quickly because we were willing to eat outside and it was a nice morning so neither of us minded. I ordered The Natural which is eggs and bacon with a biscuit and home fries while my girlfriend ordered the original French toast. Our food came out quickly and was very good. Like other reviews say the French toast was covered in compote, but she didn’t mind and there wasn’t anything left when she was done. The eggs and bacon were pretty standard, the home fries were nice and crispy, although the some were larger than I would have liked, and the biscuit was nice and buttery (it actually came pre-​buttered), but was still too dense in my opinion and not flaky enough.
The problems started when we were about half way through our meal and the check was brought to our table. I understand that there were people waiting and it is a small restaurant, but we did feel rushed after that. Additionally once our table was cleared and we went to pay, we spent longer waiting in that line than it took them to get us our food.
Ideally I’d give them 3.5 stars, but I will round and give them the benefit of the doubt that they were just very busy

This place is great if you’re in a small group. My group of 9 showed up and had to wait about half an hour before the large table was ready for us, which is honestly not that bad of a wait.
Knocking a star off because the service we received seemed a bit out of order. Staff were all friendly, but we didn’t get menus until we got water, utensils, and coffee served. *shrugs*
I ordered a half order of the Crab Cakes under the benedicts section. It was pretty darn delicious and well worth the wait! The dish felt a little more on the lighter end. I didn’t feel completely full from the half order, but stealing some potatoes from other plates helped fill me up. ;)
Seems like a solid brunch place.

I gave this place another try. We needed to find a breakfast joint for an early morning work meeting, and it had to be close to the UO campus, so we decided on Studio One. Wanting to believe my previous lackluster meal was due to coming during a peak time (i.e. noon-​ish on a Sunday), I ordered the same dish (Animal House Benedict).
Despite being a lot less busy (we came early on a Tuesday morning – the place was pretty empty), service was still not very good. It took quite a while just to get coffee, and the waiter just brought one tiny carafe of cream for the entire table of five people. Every subsequent request for more creamer took way too long – the coffee cooled down substantially by the time our cream was replenished. When we went to place our order, one of us wanted to order «The Big Easy.» We were informed the kitchen had run out of cajun seasoning. How does that even happen? Once we revised our decision, our order took a long time to come out. We had made it clear we were under a bit of a time crunch, but we still waited at least half an hour for our food before it finally came out.
As for the food, the eggs were once again horribly overcooked and hollandaise sauce was scarce. I don’t know why their kitchen has such a difficult time correctly poaching eggs when their specialty is supposedly Bennedicts. Even if the rationale is that other customers prefer firmer eggs (despite the fact poached eggs are supposed to be runny), they should still be able to cook up a runny poached egg upon request. I give them a point for those home fries, but that’s all I can say for this place. I think next time I’m in the mood for a good eggs Benedict, I’ll head over to Wild Duck.

Have now come here twice and tried two different dishes. First I came here with my family and all the men got reuben sandwiches. They said they were ok, only too much sauerkraut and the meat was turkey instead of what is normal for a reuben. I first got the «Original French Toast». Was good with the berry compote and such, would have preferred a little less custard because toward the end the toast was a bit soggy.
However, my boyfriend and I had heard the benedicts/​breakfast items were their stars, so we went back for a second time. That time I got the veggie eggs benedict without the squash and it was good. My boyfriend also got a breakfast item of an egg scramble and liked it much better than the reuben sandwich. However, people say this place is «fantastic» but I beg to differ. Maybe I’ve just had some really good food in Portland, but I did not/​do not like this place. I feel like there are so many different places you could go that are better for breakfast.
Overall, I give it a 2.
