Colleen’s One Stop Bird Shop

This is an excellent bird supply store. It is well-​stocked and has excellent products.

We’ve been coming here since we got our parrot back in 2003. Colleen is very knowledgeable and helpful. We take our parrot to her a few times a year for birdsitting as well as nail and wing trims. She is a huge asset to us and we’re not sure what we’d do if she ever closed down the business.
And to the other reviewer. My parrot fluffs up frequently. These are hardy birds with a lot of feathers and can take very low temperatures without any problems. Get a clue before you leave one star reviews!

My parrots needed some new toys so I thought I would stop here and see what they had. The store was very cold and she had some cockatiels, canaries and medium parrots. They were in small cages and so cold they were shivering and fluffed up. The poor birds were miserable and my heart broke seeing them. We left without buying anything. My husband called and her answer was they were fluffed up because they were tired and they are climatized to that temperature. Seriously? Birds don’t shiver unless they’re cold. I will NEVER shop here and would rather use Amazon and pay shipping!

I went to Colleen’s Bird Shop to get my first bird (a Cockatiel) and am so glad I did!!! Even though my main priority was to get a healthy, well-​adjusted bird, I was also hoping to get a good deal on a starter kit — did I go to the right place! Colleen not only hooked me up me up with a fabulous cockatiel, but everything I needed to take him home (cage, food, toy and treats) and all at a great price — much cheaper then a pet store.
Not to mention Pepe (our cockatiel) has been a dream — you can totally tell Colleen spends time socializing her babies! For example, he stayed on my shoulder the rest of the day after we took him home and has been very easy to get out of his cage each morning — not freaking out like you hear about with unsocialized birds. I plan to continue going to her shop for all my bird needs and totally recommend her to anyone looking to get a new bird or bird supplies.
