Our custom work ranges from small runs of calling cards to large wedding invitation suites and corporate marketing products, and our custom clients have come from every corner of the country and from across the globe. We are happy to print your already designed project, or work with you to design and develop a unique project of your very own. However you want to work, we will do our best to accommodate you!

History

Established in 2007.

Founded in 2007 by graphic designer and printmaker Kristin Walker, Twin Ravens Press strives to create beautiful and memorable letterpress invitations for a variety of events (including weddings, bar & bat mitzvahs, showers, parties, and other special events), as well as adorable baby announcements, compelling and unique business and personal stationery, fabulous greeting cards, calendars and more! Our specialty is custom graphic design and letterpress printing. We also produce a small line of greeting cards, coasters, gift tags and calendars which are sold in a number of fine stationery boutiques throughout the country.

Every piece produced by Twin Ravens Press is printed in-​house on a 1912 Chandler & Price letterpress using a combination of hand-​set type and photopolymer plates. Each sheet of paper is placed individually into the press, by hand, where the images and text are transferred by relief method, one color at a time, to create an impression you can see and feel.

A transplanted Oregonian, originally hailing from Western Wyoming, Kristin loves all things antique machinery and printmaking! She truly believes she found her passion in creating custom letterpress paper goods using antique printmaking methods and machinery.

When she’s not working, she loves driving her ’63 VW Bug to the Oregon Coast, partner dancing, gardening, cooking all the tasty foods (especially tacos!) & cuddling her two adorable kitties!

Twin Ravens Press did my daughter, Kelsey’s, business cards as a surprise from me to her for her new venture. Kelsey graduated from the University of Oregon in Print making and was absolutely thrilled with the results and talents Kirstin used in making these cards. What an easy wonderful person to work with. Kirsten’s studio is very interesting, from her 100 year old printing press to her new laser cutter. It was so fun to be able to visit her studio and see samples of her past work. A friend from LA found Twin Ravens Press on the internet. and recommended her, so what a surprise to find that Kristin lives in Eugene not far from me. Kasha D

Incredible Quality!!!
Everyone who has seen my calling cards has complimented me on them. Some things done the old fashion way, have an elegance that cannot be duplicated with a computer. Everything from the texture of the paper to the quality of the printing shows that this printer takes pride in her work.
I am looking forward to getting custom coasters to give as gifts to participants in our yacht club’s sail to South Beach.

Kristin is so amazing! I used Kristin for my wedding invites and I could not be happier with the quality of work, responses to my emails, attentiveness, etc. If you are so lucky, as I was, to have found her, you will not regret it! I extensively research all of my vendors, and Kristin by far was the most affordable for the top quality of work that she does… run to your computers now to hold your spot on her calendar — i’m serious. i am not easy to please, and I admit, kind of high maintenance but Kristin relieved all anxiety and I was extremely pleased with my unique invitations! she is so easy to work with and so so so sweet — she has never ever been rude, and i don’t think she has a mean bone in her body! book her!

I won’t use Twin Ravens Press again. I’m not sure what was going on, but my experience with this business was weird and I totally agree with Jan C’s review. Kristin could be rude and her prices kept changing. I’d call her out on it from time to time, and — no apology — just sort of «oh yeah, I was wrong before, it’s now this price.» After a few times, that gets old.
Anyway, I used Twin Ravens Press for some custom work after reading lots of good things about Kristin on Weddingbee. I had contacted many letterpress printers and found her prices to be very low compared to the others. I had hired her to do custom design work, but should not have. I think Kristin would ONLY be okay if you want her to letterpress a design you’ve already created. Her design work was not good. I wish I could post the initial proof she came up with — I have no design background whatsoever and I’m pretty sure I could come up with something more aesthetically pleasing than what she came up with in less time. I realized very quickly that she could not be trusted to come up with something that I’d be happy with so I mined through lots of different designs/​images, etc to let her know exactly what I wanted.
This was not the worst part of the experience though. The worst part was that Kristin would go MIA between rounds of revisions, even though I had expressly told her that the project was quite time-​sensitive. When I finally had had enough of emailing her and called her up to see what was going on, she was totally rude to me on the phone. I was floored.
Ultimately, the work came out fine but the letterpress printing was so-​so. The color was not consistent across the pieces — they varied from very light (I guess when the roller was almost dry) to very dark (when the roller had been re-​inked). I get custom letterpress printing done on a pretty regular basis and I’ve never seen so much discrepancy across one project. I’ll never use this place again, and definitely regret letting my pocketbook guide this decision. Next time, I’ll pay $ and get better quality and better service.

I had Kristin do my daughter’s birth announcement and could not be happier. In the digital/​virtual world, I didn’t need to be confined to bricks and mortar shops in the Chicagoland area. I love letterpress and hey, you only get on birth announcement per child so I wanted to make it count!
Kristin was really patient with me taking in all of my feedback for revisions and was responsive. She even offered to leverage her corporate discount for photo printing and matted the photos in our birth announcement. The end product was a perfect combination of letterpress and photo with a little hint of wedding invitation vibe.
Even my OB/​GYN who I had sent an announcement let me know that it was the prettiest announcement she had received! I definitely recommend Twin Ravens to anyone looking for AFFORDABLE letterpress — plus she does custom work so you aren’t picking from a stock catalog of designs.

Twin Ravens letter pressed my daughters wedding invitations. At first it seemed like a great match, but as time went on we realized we had made a mistake in hiring her. Other than the fact that Kristin can be very rude, foremost she was not upfront about her costs and she has hidden costs outside her price sheet. We were told one price and then when the bill came we were shocked at all of her add-​ons. I wouldn’t ever recommend her to do any other services for anyone unless you want a complete nightmare. She also does not ask enough questions and makes the decision herself. We were overcharged on several items and she would not change the invoice. DO NOT USE TWIN RAVENS. There has to be someone better. Just keep searching.

If there has been any aspect of my upcoming wedding that I have obsessed over more, it would have to be the invitations. At first, I told myself (and others) that I couldn’t justify spending a lot of money on something that would just end up in the trash.
My resolve didn’t last long.
I kept seeing gorgeous letterpress invitations all over the internet, and I fell in love. I coveted letterpress. I never dreamed I could ever afford them. And then I ran across a recommendation for Twin Ravens Press. Imagine my surprise when I learned it was a local business. Well, I was flat out stunned when I saw the prices. Suddenly, letterpress seemed… attainable.
Kristin was kind enough to provide her pricing sheet and explain her services, and invited me to her studio. I spent more than two hours there looking over samples of her work, then talking about the design and wording. By the time I left, I had a pretty solid design that my fiancé and our parents thought looked great, and that improved after a few more tweaks. Kristin was patient, friendly, and accommodating with each change — and I was really nitpicky about the color of the envelopes and the wording of the invitations. The final cost of the invites was made very clear in the invoice before I gave the final approval and authorized the work.
When the invites were done, Kristin delivered them to me at work, and they were amazingly beautiful and elegant. The invitations have gone out, and friends have commented on how beautiful they are, and how great they feel (letterpress is a tactile experience as well as a visual one). I am very pleased with the service and quality of the invitations, and I look forward to using Twin Ravens Press for baby announcements… some day.

I can’t agree more with the first review! I had no idea where to begin with my wedding invitations, save the dates, and thank you cards but Kristin totally blew me away with her creativity, patience and knowledge through the design and printing process. I still look at my invitations all the time and love how they came out! We got so many compliments — they were unique and beautiful. Kristin was profession and great to work with, and I will definitely hire Kristin again and recommend her to anyone looking for letterpress!

Don’t go anywhere else for your wedding invitations! Like the other reviews, I was amazed at the service and quality you get from Twin Ravens Press (and at a great price!) Kristin is ALWAYS responsive to emails, which is so reassuring for the frazzled bride. (Also, she is very easy to work with remotely — I’m in Los Angeles and had no problems with the distance.)

I’m at a loss for words as to why Twin Ravens Press has not been given a million 5 Star reviews!
I recently got married and I must admit that the wedding invitations were most definitely my favorite part! (Well, the getting married part was too!)
I stumbled across their webpage and was blown away by the real life examples of other wedding/​birth announcements/​save the dates/​business cards they had on their site. I immediately told my husband that no matter what the cost we were going with Twin Ravens Press. He didn’t like that idea but told me to contact them and see if they were within our budget.
WELL not only were they within our budget, but we got to help with a custom design!!! We emailed Kristin some examples of certain designs we saw and liked and she came up with an amazing design for our invitations, reply cards and the envelopes!
She was easy to «talk» to (everything was done via email) and extremely prompt! I am now in the process of trying to get my husband on board with having a baby so Twin Ravens Press can do our baby announcements!!!
For custom letterpress wedding invitations, Twin Ravens Press not only did an amazing job but were extremely reasonable with their prices.
I cannot say anything bad about my experience with Twin Ravens Press. Kristin pretty much kicks serious stationary butt!!!
