I was sent to this company by my home warranty insurance company, what a relief! They came out and assessed my pool heating issues (my heater wouldn’t kick on and wreaked of gas), after troubleshooting for a good hour the nice tech told me that he would come back the following week with parts. He came back just as promised and my heater works great! Im going to hold onto this company as they have quality people working there who definitely know our equipment. I also wanted to add that the office lady (I’m sorry I forgot her name) was really nice and super professional. Additionally, I did not have to stay home and wait all day, I gave them access to my backyard and everything was fine. Thanks again!

I have known Mike & Co at San Dieguito Pool for over 15 years and I WON’T USE ANYONE ELSE! If it’s Home Warranty work, and the warranty Co tries to send the ‘other guys’, I always request SD Pool instead. (I learned the hard way. The first time they sent the other guys, it was nothing but a headache and problems.) The folks at SD Pool are above all HONEST, and dependable and the work is always top-​notch. The office staff is always helpful & pleasant.

San Dieguito Pool Center has worked on my in-​ground spa equipment for years, and they are one of the only contractors who are consistently helpful to me even though I don’t have a pool and am far outside of their service area. The technicians explain things and are knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly. They always let me know when they’ll show up; they always come when they say they will; they’ve always fixed my problems to my satisfaction; and the office staff have always been helpful and friendly.
I’ve used them for filter cleaning, heater repair, pump rebuild, and pump replacement. I recommend them.

We just had our pool completely redone. My husband and I have never had better customer service and professionalism. All of the workers were kind and very hardworking. The stone and tile crew were meticulous and we could not be happier with the outcome. Mike made some suggestions that really made the pool just beautiful and resort like. We are super happy with the outcome and highly recommend SD Pool.

They were recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. I got bids from some competitors and they were ridiculously expensive. Mike came out numerous times to meet with my wife and I for our pool remodel. He also called and texted with me whenever I had any questions. He covered all the various options and even recommended we save money by NOT replacing all of our waterline tile. The crew were great and they got the job done on time and on budget. He and his staff went above and beyond and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Mike personally came out and consulted the proposed project in detail and didn’t try to sell me stuff, but explained what things I didn’t need that other pool companies said I did. In the end he saved me well over 5K compared to the other quotes I got. I don’t know how the guy makes a profit with his prices.
The work included resurfacing the entire pool, laying down the tiles, installing new top of the line heaters for both the jacuzzi and pool (which was impossible to heat before — now I can on the occasional gatherings), improving the filter system, making the air jet nozzles more powerful and replacing the old lights for new LED ones, and last but not least he switched my pool from chlorine to salt — a move I really recommend! Another thing, I was having problems over the past FIVE YEARS where the metal housing of the pool lights caused discoloration due to rust and oxidization from a chemical reaction on the pool walls. He finally fixed that problem on the first try by using a different type alloy for the light’s housing. Guy is a genius. All this work was done well over a year ago (around fall 2013) and everything has performed as it did on day one. Added bonus, the guy took me out to dinner after the project was done, which was a nice touch!

I read the other reviews and was a bit surprised. My experience with this company was quite good. I was referred to them by my pool guy for heater repairs. They have made two visits to my house and fixed the problem both time. I thought they were reasonably priced, they came when they said they would and completed the work quickly and told me what happened. I did not even have to be home. I especially appreciate Mike, he is knowledgable, helpful and efficient. I would say I recommend them from my experience.

I wish Unilocal allowed 0 star rating! I got routed to these guys through my home insurance company. They came to fix our pool salt system 3 times, didn’t leave any paper work, and every time they left things in the same condition as before. Also, they can’t give you a window of time where the tech will be at the property. So in order to be home and find out what exactly they are doing (or not doing!!) I as a working individual had to take a whole day off and wait for someone to call me!!! REALLY???
So my 3^rd appointment, I asked my husband to take few hours from work and stay home since I was told someone is going to call me in the morning. 10:15 I call them asking when someone is going to actually call and confirm the appointment and all I heard was that your appointment will be scheduled for Thursday since we are short staffed! No call, no notice, nothing! And when I complained, all I was told was «call your insurance company and go with another pool service» How professional?
The receptionist who answers the calls is SO rude and unprofessional. No respect, no customer service and no apology what so ever! They shouldn’t be in public service business at all!
PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. You will have unnecessary headache, frustration and stress… they are a LOT of other good ones out there.

Can I give 0 stars? I wish I could. My work pool boiler went down. I was recommended by another pool company to contact San Dieguito Pools as they were the preferred warranty company in San Diego for the boiler we had (Pentaire). They agreed to come out Friday (the next day). When it was noon on Friday and they still hadn’t arrived I called and they indicated that they were not going to be able to come out. They apologized but stated that they could put me on the schedule for Monday 3 days later!
They wasted a full 24 hours of our time because if they were not able to come out I would have found someone else. Now we are unable to find anyone to come out to repair our boiler… ridiculous.

We purchased a home with an older pool. We had received 4 estimates to have the pool re-​surfaced. We chose San Dieguito and we could not be more pleased. Mike came right out and he was completely honest with us in what and how we wanted things done. He explained why to do things a different way, he never once tried to pressure us. Every worker that was in our property were polite and nice. We would highly recommend them to everyone !! Remember ask for Mike and tell him you read my review. I told him how happy I was and he chuckled when I said I was putting it on Unilocal.

These guys were suppose to come out and do about $ 329 worth of specific repairs. The repairs weren’t done in a timely manner. They never provided us with any written estimates or service agreement whatsoever. They did unauthorized repairs, some of which I specifically told them not to do. Some of the repairs they claimed they made and billed us for, weren’t even done. Photographic proof. They billed us for over $ 1100. When I disputed the charges, they refused to meet with me to sort out the bill. They then made two unauthorized charges to our Visa debit card totaling a little over $ 1100. We had given our card number originally for the verbally agreed upon $ 329. They claim we didn’t respond to their calls but I have a cell phone bill showing no calls from them. BEWARE of these guys! (They don’t deserve a single star. I had give them a star in order for Unilocal to post my review)

This company handled my pool service and then installation of a heater, salt chlorinater and filter. They gave me a quote for the equipment, but I was able to find it elsewhere. I told them the price and asked if they could beat it. They were unable to, but said they would still install the equipment for an extra $ 500 than quoted earlier.
The chlorinater was not installed correctly to «recommended standards» set by the company, even though San Diego Pool Center is one of their service people. In fact, it was installed upside down without a stop gap.
I purchased a $ 1000 circuit board that the installer said he could not use and «would exchange» at his cost. It turns out that he took the $ 1000 board and put in a a $ 100 board.
It turns out the entire set of equipment wasn’t working correctly and I contacted this company repeatedly. They were rude, not helpful, until I contacted another company.
I went out of town and one of their installers showed up and put in another circuit board inside the house. He had to come back 4 times and it still did not work correctly.
I contacted San Dieguito again and they refused to fix it. I had to pay another company to originally assess the issues and they then came back to fix the board.
San Dieguito refuses to fix their work, will take advantage of you and has complete disregard for it’s customers.
In retrospect, I have heard tons of similar stories.
