Out of this world customer service! While in San Diego for work, my eyeglasses lost a screw and the arm fell off. These guys fixed my problem and cleaned the lenses in like, 2 minutes. Then refused to accept my money. So happy to come across a company that still cares about making people happy. I may drive all the way back to Encinitas the next time I need glasses just so I can buy them here. Thank you, thank you!

Just got another pair of fabulous glasses from the best Optical Store in North County. The styles are numerous and the optician and owner, Alan, is very knowledgeable and professional (not to mention quick). His wife, Annemarie helped (again) with the lovely style I got. I just recommended you guys on «Nextdoor», a phone app for neighborhoods. Thank you very much for always providing such great options, styles and assistance with such speed and perfection!

EO+S has a great selection but more importantly they have amazing customer service. I went in today because my son’s frames were bent (active kid!) and Kassie was able to quickly fix it and put a smile back on my son’s face! Thank you!

This place is great! After shopping around at the optic shops and doctors offices in North County, I finally found what I was looking for here. They have a really great selection of frames and their customer service is second to none. They can put your glasses together in 20 minutes and they take insurance, which is a huge plus. After I found my glasses, I inquired about sunglasses. They offered to order, cut, and shape the lenses for my Electric sunglasses which I already owned. What makes this place stand out is the people. It’s a great small business and I’ll definintlely be back. Thank you!

I don’t know why I was wearing my sunglasses during my first attempt at surfing. Not only did I get hit by the head out by a surfboard but I lost my glasses in the water. By gods grace two minutes later I found them but my husband and I both lurched to grab them and he bent the frames. A lady on the beach recommended hotshots in Carlsbad so I gave them a call. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable conversation. The guy working sounded like he had some kind of social disorder. I turned to Unilocal for help finding another place and that’s when I found Encinitas Optical and sunglasses. I gave them a call and they sounded friendly so I headed on in. What I got was excellent customer service. They were friendly they took my sunglasses right away and when they gave them back they were less scratched and cleaner and fit better than they had in years. I really appreciate Alan taking the time to take care of me and do such a fantastic job.

My story starts at a Chrome Hearts store in Las Vegas, I found my dream sun glasses. It never occurred to me that getting my prescription lens installed in them would be an issue. After visiting optical store after optical store and being turned away, I was really worried that I would never have my dream prescription sun glasses. A friend told me about Encinitas Optical and I made one last ditch effort.
SUCCESS, not only did they not turn me away. But they immediately explained why these glasses were an issue for other optical stores and that after ordering specialized lenses I would have my glasses in a week. WHAT!!! I couldn’t be happier. I came back in less than a week and picked up my PERFECT glasses, I could see AGAIN!!!
When I came to pick up my glasses, my husband came with. He had some Prada’s that needed some minor repairs. NO problem, his repairs were done on the spot immediately AND he changed his lenses to a higher quality.
Today we brought our daughter-​in-​law to get new glasses. She bought 3 pairs and 2 of them were made in 15 minutes. I am NOT joking, 15 minutes later she had her new glasses in her cute little hands and was doing the happy dance. They have an amazing workroom in the back, that I swear has magical elves back there that fix everything in no time flat.
So besides the magic elves, they have one of the best collections of frames I have found. I am a picky picky person when it comes to frames, they never disappointed me. This is my favorite optical store EVER. They can do anything and they are super super nice. We have all, always felt so welcomed here.
Some of you may say Encinitas is WHERE? I suggest you pull out your GPS and find it, because we live ALL the way in the East County and it is worth every single mile to get here.

Very kind and great service! Went in with my son’s glasses and a pair of mine that needed to be tightened: adjusted. Neither paired was purchased there, but the man behind the counter took both pairs to the back and returned them to me in minutes adjusted at no charge! I will definitely bring my eyeglass business there. By the way, notice great assortment of nice glasses while I waited!

I have been a patron since they opened and wouldn’t go anywhere else for my sunglasses. They carry a wide range of styles and price points but the best things is, you are working with professionals who know about fit and function. I get professional feedback rather than just a kid advising me what is popular. What is popular does not always work for your face; that’s why I only go to the pros!

Excellent customer service! I went in for a missing part and repair of sunglasses I did not purchase there. They promptly found the part, performed the repair, and did not even charge me. Next time I purchase glasses or sunglasses, I will be shopping there!

This place is fantastic! I have purchased lenses and two frames from them and have been impressed with their service.
In fact, I just purchased a pair of glasses and was concerned that the lenses were too tall. Alan offered to recut the lenses (the frames only cover the top of the lenses and the bottom is open) 2 mm shorter at no extra charge. He clearly didn’t have to do that. He could have charged me for the lenses.
Great selection, outstanding service, and easy to use my company’s eye insurance. If you need glasses, avoid the chain stores and go to Encinitas Optical!!!

David gave Great service — had someone step on my glasses and bent them. Had them fixed quickly, replaced lost broken screw. Did a great job getting me fixed up so I could see.

I walked in with a client who is disabled and in need of an immediate glass repair. My client was able and prepared to pay. Alan accepted then completed the repair and refused to accept any money. I had a pair of polorized glasses that had become unwearable because the lenses were damaged. Alan the owner has a machine that allows him to cut polorized lenses for any pair of sunglasses and it’s a higher quality polorized lens. Extremely happy with my new lenses. It took less than ten minutes to cut the new lenses. If you need sunglasses or prescription glasses in North County go see Alan at Encinitas Optical and Sunglass.

Hubby has been coming here for years and has always been happy. We went today to replace his old prescription sunglasses. The customer service by Alan and Ann Marie was exceptionally good, they have a huge selection to choose from of all the top designers, and they KNOW their merchandise.

This place is not cheap, by any means, but my whole family has gotten their glasses here for as long as I can remember and they’ve never given us a reason to leave! The staff is friendly and attentive. I have a particularly bad prescription and Alan (the owner) went above and beyond to help me find the perfect pair of glasses. They also have a large selection of prescription glasses, as well as sunglasses. They are fast and do most of the work in house. Check it out if your eyeballs need a little extra help!
