Established in 2004.

Dr. Moffett has long been recognized as a leader in patient care. Since our origins Dr. Moffett has provided services with the highest standards of quality and individualized attention in a relaxed, professional atmosphere. Dr. Moffett will conduct a thorough ocular health evaluation including, screening for glaucoma, cataracts and other diseases. This may include dilating the pupils to get a better interval view of the eye.

Stephen J. Moffett, O.D. APC graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2000. Dr. Moffett is therapeutically board certified in the treatment of eye disease and has extensive experience co-​managing refractive eye surgery. He strives to stay in the forefront of the laser vision correction field so as to provide his patients with the latest technology and the best care. Dr. Moffett is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association.

First time seeing Stephen. Staff are friendly, Doctor seems knowledgeable and legit. Had my visit on the 10th of September — prescribed my prescription. Sat down and ordered glasses. All a very pleasant experience. Never gave me my actual prescription when I left but I figured that was just because I ordered the glasses right there. Received my glasses in 19 days but this was due to the manufacturer making the wrong cut in the lens. Dr. Moffett followed up with me to resolve the issue and apologized for the delay.

Pretty good optometry office. The staff up front is friendly and Dr Moffet is very thorough. He doesn’t mind working with whatever request you have and seems to always find a solution for his patients. I have been going here for at least 8 years and will continue as long as Dr Moffet and his staff continue with their awesome customer service!

The doctor and the staff are very friendly, but I really can’t recommend them.
I went here for eye exams and glasses a couple of times over the last ten years. I don’t remember about the previous times, but at least the last time I went, they didn’t give me a copy of my prescription. I asked for it a few weeks after I picked up my glasses and they gave it to me, but I had to ask. Optometrists are required to give the prescription to you immediately after the eye exam, so it’s strange that they didn’t.
I recently went to a different optometrist and I showed him the old prescription. He said that the glasses I brought didn’t match the prescription, even though both were from Dr. Moffett’s. Very weird. Not sure what happened, but it seems I’ve been wearing the wrong prescription for over a year. And I thought I was just getting old…
I thought the advantage for paying more for glasses from an optometrist directly was some measure of added thoroughness, but I didn’t find that here. I think Costco, Target Optical, or online retailers with home try-​on are the way to go.

Dr. Moffett is patient, professional and extremely knowledgeable. Aside from regular vision care, we’ve seen him twice for eye ‘problems’ which he diagnosed correct immediately and offered very thorough explanation of. Very nice staff, parking is also hassle-​free.

I went to Dr. Moffett for both myself and my 7 year old daughter.
Both visits went well. I felt like we both had very thorough exams.
I didn’t know what to expect for my daughter’s visit since she’s so young, but the assistants were able to make all the testing machines work for her little eyes. Dr. Moffett was able to diagnose a focus problem that Daniel & Davis Optometry (which specializes in pediatric optometry!) did not catch last year.
I really like that they accept VSP, and billing was straight forward.

Dr. Stephen Moffett is a great optometrist!
He takes the time to answer your questions and he makes sure you get the right fit and prescription. My eyes are very bad –9 and a –7.50 and he fit me with contacts that I can see better than I have ever been able to see out of. I am looking forward to getting my new glasses here as well.
The staff is also very friendly and easy to get along with and will help you with questions and concerns you may have.

The staff here is so friendly and nice! As soon as I walked in the door, I felt welcomed and they were very diligent with getting me the paperwork (painless, just one paper!) doing the preliminary tests and into the doctors office.
Dr. Moffett was extremely nice and professional. He explained every eye test, a few of which I never experienced, and gave me a couple different contact lenses to try on.
Also, doesn’t hurt that there’s a cupcake bakery a few doors down. The girls in the office even gave me great recommendations for flavors.
All in all, I left feeling happy, healthy and excited to return to pick up my contact lenses. Great people, great practice– highly recommend this optometrist to anyone!

Dr Moffett and his staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable. The staff always lets you know what the fees will be before you come in and what insurance will and will not cover. Hello,
I have been going to Dr. Moffett for 4 to 5 years. In my opinion, he is a great Optometrist. He takes his time, is patient, answers all my questions which is why I keep on going back to him.
I do have an issue with his billing department. I have caught them twice charging my insurance for the services that they didn’t provide and when I went back to their office for additional supply, they told me that I no longer had any allowance left. Fortunately, I was able to contact my insurance and sort it out with them.
I recently had an regular exam done there and they charged me additional $ 69.00 for contact lenses fitting which I believe is preposterous. I just went in for a regular exam which should have been $ 25.00 and they decided pile on extra fees without my knowledge. It makes me upset that they didn’t make me aware of this charge before the exam.
Needless to say, I will no longer be going there. I am tired of their additional charges that either come out of my pocket or charge to my insurance without my consent.
To all that is reading this post. Once again, Dr. Moffett is wonderful but make sure you are aware of what procedure you are getting done and how much you are getting charged PRIOR to the exams.

We have been patients for the past couple of years. The service was not superb but well enough to return for routine eye exams for myself and family.
When there became a concern with my 4 years eyesite, I contacted the office to see if they were equiped to handle this age of patient. I was assured that it was fine and to bring him in. My son was very misbehaved, but Dr. Moffet showed no compassion considering his age. At that point, I now know we should have been refered to a pediatric specialist. Instead, he reappointed us for 1 month. When we returned, I brought a friend to help as knowing children, they behave better sometimes for others. After a perfectly good visit, she commented on Dr. Moffet’s poor chairside mannor, lack of patience, and expectations for my 4 yr old. He prescribed my son contacts, telling me that was what he would recommend for his child… did I mention he doesn’t even have children???
We are now 6 months later. I have taken him to a Pediatric Opthomologist. The prescription that was given was completely incorret and Dr. Moffett missed an eye condition that he had. Had Dr. Moffett realized this was out of his scope of practice, and referred us, we would not have invested in contacts (mind you my son is 4 years old!), glasses, and now the expense of doing the exam all over. The opthomologist said that contacts are the money makers for optomtrist. I now know this to be true after pricing my contacts and my older sons contacts at Costco… there was a $ 24 PER BOX difference!
We as a family, will not be returning, nor would I recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Moffett is a nice, patient doctor who is willing to go the extra mile to make sure your Rx is right on.
I’ll admit to being a pain in the ass patient since I suck at the «which is better, 1 or 2, 4 or 3» tests. Dr. Moffett spent extra time with me to get it right, sent me home with samples to test before I ordered them, and his office called to check up on me a week later.
The have a cute welcome board too with all the patients names for the day written on it, which I thought was a nice touch.
I like this place b/​c of the location, flexible hours (don’t have to go during work hours), and the people. I’ll be going back.
