I have tried to change my last review and cannot for some reason. But I want you to know, I contacted this company again and they have not only solved my problems, but did so in a timely and professional manner. They replaced a sliding door for me. The 2 guys who came out Bruno and Miguel were nice as could be and just did a super job. Great price and service. I would never hesitate to recommend or use them again. The office worked me in fast, Monica worked miracles to get it scheduled around mine and worked out great. Thanks so much!!!

Very disappointed in this company. I made an appt for getting something done with a leaky sliding door. The owner came out and immediately stated I needed a new Milgard unit because of sloppy installation. I asked if he could caulk the door until we were given a quote to replace it he stated he did not have the caulking with him but would send somebody tomorrow. That was last week. He didn’t show didn’t call or email. This is the communication age. Doesn’t take much effort. A person called today with a quote for replacement doors. 1800 and 2200 not bad prices but the killer was if you just want to caulk around the slider 200. The last company that did that two years ago I paid 20.00. But even at that it was the fact I will not do business with someone who tells me they will be there and don’t show up or call that next day. That is business 101.

I cannot say enough about this company and all of the people who work there. From the initial in home estimate to the install. The estimate was quick and no pressure like every other company that came out. They measured, went over window brands, left quotes for every budget and answered all questions in a quick visit! I was impressed from the first 5 minutes. The windows were ordered and the install was scheduled almost immediately. On install day they were on time and worked quickly. 7 windows done in about 6 hours including the impressive clean up of my house and yard. The windows look beyond amazing and I can’t believe the difference in temperature and noise (or lack there of). They were very respectful of my house and family. They were also very friendly and kept us involved and informed. Can’t wait to get the rest of the house done!

These folks are the best! I thought I had a square mirror to replace, but when measured, the walls were uneven. On the advice of the measurer, I went with a special manufactured size and it turned out beautifully. From the office folks to the installation process, everyone was fantastic. Two years ago I used them for my replacement windows and couldn’t be happier with that experience either.

Thanks to the Unilocal reviews I got a quote from this company and one other highly rated company. I’m so glad that I went with Window Solutions as the other company’s measurements were almost an inch different which would have resulted in even further delays.
Two weeks ago our patio umbrella took off like Mary Poppins and hurled itself into two large windows shattering the double panes. Not timely with the heat at over 95 degrees and shattering onto tile that caused the glass to disperse everywhere. The glass has to be ordered and when your business is successful install times can get backed up.
I explained that this was a significant issue as the shattered window was in our main living area and it really was a safety concern as we relied on duct tape to prevent further glass breakage in the house. They expedited the order delivery and install based on my pleas for help. The two gentleman who installed the windows did a fantastic job. I hope I don’t have any issues like this again, but will not hesitate to contact them for glass or window replacement.

I found Windows Solutions via the Milgard website. However, when we went to their showroom, Dusty also showed us the Simonton windows and we decided to go with them because they had more/​better features for the same price as Milgard. The installers did a great job replacing our 75-​year old windows (5 windows were replaced in less than 4 hours). The windows themselves are even nicer than we expected. While we thought we might run into problems during install due to the age of the house, everything went well and we couldn’t be happier!

I feel so blessed to have found the company Window Solutions in El Cajon. I desperately needed new windows for the 1956 home my parents built and I grew up in. The windows were all single pane and crank out — falling apart. Dusty answered when I called. She was very courteous and suggested I come into the showroom. When I arrived, Amy showed me around. She was very knowledgeable about all the window choices. I decided on Milgard Tuscany. I loved the lifetime guarantee. She told me all their installers are on payroll. That was great! We setup an appointment for Joseph to come out and give a free estimate. He arrived right on time and was a pleasure. He measured all the windows and we discussed types. I was pleasantly surprised at the price. I also liked that this is a family business that has been around forever. I could tell this is a company that wants to do it right the first time. After signing the contract, the owner came out and remeasured everything. He reconfirmed all of our choices. I wanted to be sure the install happened before the kids went back to school. The date was set and the 2 installers, Justin and Chris arrived early that day. Justin made sure to answer all my questions before beginning. The two worked together very efficiently and seemed to be enjoying their work. Since my job was complicated 3 days had been scheduled. The 2^nd day, another installer, Dave arrived. Again the 3 worked together very well. I am so happy with the new updated look of the house. I am also happy that the noise is reduced and the windows are easy to operate. I really cannot say enough good things about our whole experience with this company. I am hoping my review gets posted. Excellent company I would recommend in a heartbeat.

So far not very happy with them. I am still waiting for my quote when I was promised it yesterday then promised it again today. I already waited almost two weeks to have someone come out and measure, which probably should have been my first clue, but I was trusting Unilocal and all the good reviews. BAD IDEA, Run away! If you want a quote in a timely manner or live in North County, don’t bother I don’t think they want the work up here. Very disappointed!

The seal on our guest bedroom broke and dirty marks started appearing inside the dual pane. Window Solutions ordered the right replacement part, arrived on time and on schedule. Eric was the installer and was the supreme professional — courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, treated our home like his own and left everything just as he found it. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my family and friends. Ask for Eric to do your install!

Installation of new windows in our entire house was just completed and we could not be more pleased. Window Solutions did a fantastic job from start to finish and it was a really good experience in every way. We had a total of 15 windows installed, several of which were made larger than the originals. We bought the Simonton brand and they are beautiful. We had fantastic customer service and the men who installed the windows did an excellent job also. In addition, everyone just could not have been nicer. We can’t say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them. We would also highly recommend the Simonton brand. The windows are gorgeous and allow for much more light than the other brands, in addition to having a much better warranty.

I had a great experience with Window Solutions. They gave me a competitive price, were able to help inform me on the options, and delivered as promised, on time, on budget with no hiccups.
Our work including making two of our windows smaller — they were able to advise on impacts, suggest alternatives, and really worked with us to make the best choices. They then delivered on those choices.
I was told by a general contractor that going through any window service (rather than a spendy GC) would result in schedule slips, constant change orders and other headaches. But I had quite the reverse. In fact, when I did need to make a change due to fire zoning codes, they worked with me to ensure minimal impact — giving me the upgraded (fire zone approved) windows at cost!
I’d would definitely work with them again.

As a local home remodeler, we need windows, sliding doors, and french doors on most every property we flip. For anyone local to the El Cajon area, no doubt they know the building that Window Solutions is in because of the giant words on the building, that you can see a mile away on hwy 8, that say something like «WINDOWS and DOORS». That building has had those logos since the 1980’s…and this is the same family business that now has a different name, but same family owning it and working there daily as the second and third generation. That’s pretty cool to see a family business and family trade still going strong after so many decades.
As for their work and their products… many companies sell the same brands these days, and pricing is usually pretty close when getting bids… on one certain window, one company is a few bucks cheaper… on a different window, a different company is cheaper. Really, when you are shopping around for this kind of stuff, you will find it all pretty much averages out and you end up spending more on gas and time than you save by driving all over to check pricing. What it ends up coming down to is ability to get product and install it cleanly with good service. We have now flipped over 15 homes using Window Solutions for windows and doors and because they can get us what we need at a competitive price, and we get great service along the way, they are now the only call we make.
Most recently we were up against a tough deadline on a flip home and didn’t have a full crew to do the prep-​work or finish-​work when we had 4 windows on a second story enlarged. They agreed to come in and do the cut-​out, the reframing on what turned out to be a nightmare woodrot section of wall, install the new windows, then handle the finishwork including the stucco matching around the windows. It was a massive job and as I was able to check in a bunch of times over the 2 days they needed to complete the job (that had 8 other retrofit windows plus a pair of doors), I found them to be doing the work as I would want it… that says a ton as I am pretty particular on my work, where I go far and above most people that flip homes.
Like EVERY window business we have ever dealt with, sometimes the manufacturer sends them something that doesn’t fit the specs or has a defect. That kind of thing is NOT the fault of Window Solutions, but every now and then there can be a small delay while they get things corrected. In hundreds of windows done by them for us, we’ve had 2 go-​backs and both were caught immediately, so delays were minimal. Again, that’s a manufacturer’s issue and Window Solutions has always been great in getting that handled.
I guess it’s hard to say much more of anything. When pricing is pretty much a toss up, service is key. On that end, Window Solutions is our preferred window and door company.

FIVE BIG SHINEY STARS.
I got 8 estimates on Vinyl windows: These folks were not the least expensive, but I liked the office & field staff, and they are close. The install team was fast and professional.
They are perfectionists. I love the Simonton Windows, gorgeous, easy to close and open. We had a few problems with the sliding glass door, but Window Solutions made all the fixes.
I recommend this business and have now had them do a second job also.

The locking mechanism of one of our Milgard sliding glass doors broke. Milgard has a life-​time warranty on their doors and windows, so we called Milgard to come out and fix it. The Milgard company referred us to Window Solutions to fix the problem. So, we called Window Solutions, who came out, diagnosed the problem, and determined the specifications for the Milgard parts that would be needed. In addition, their technician observed that the locking mechanisms on two of our non-​Milgard window screens were broken and needed to be replaced.
The Windows Solutions technician charged us their normal $ 125 charge. Having to pay $ 125 seemed strange to us, given that the Milgard door was under warranty. So, next day, I called Window Solutions and asked why we had to pay $ 125 for a problem that was supposedly covered by warranty. Windows Solutions said they don’t do warranty work for Milgard, and therefore were unaware that there was a warranty issue involved.
Turns out, it was Milgard’s mistake. Milgard apparently had not believed us when we told them that our sliding glass door was still under warranty. What Milgard should have done was send a Milgard technician to our house. Milgard should not have told us to contact Window Solutions.
Window Solutions was an innocent party in this matter. Yet, here is what they did:
1. They tore up my $ 125 check.
2. They contacted Milgard for us to explain the problem.
3. They provided Milgard with the specifications for the parts that were needed.
4. They informed me that Milgard will fulfill their warranty obligation, and that if Milgard does not contact me within three days to call them back and they will follow up and see to it that our problem is resolved.
5. In addition, for no charge, they are sending us parts needed to repair the locking mechanisms on the non-​Milgard window screens.

I’m amazed at the positive reviews. The quality of their work left a lot to be desired.

I had 3 quotes for Milgard Tuscany windows and Window Solutions came in the lowest. I had all windows and sliding doors in the house replaced and they did a superior job. The installation team was professional and let me know that there were minor scratches in the glass that required replacing. Milgard is in the process of doing that. I couldn’t be more pleased.

I’m surprised these guys have such high reviews. We have a coupon for 20% off a shower door for a seamless shower enclosure, and reached out to these guys, hoping their quote would be reasonable enough to accept their bid. Took 3 days to hear back and they said they would send us an estimate via e-​mail after they had my husband «eyeball the measurements.» Yes I know we live in Escondido, but you’re not even willing to drive to give an estimate? Strike 1 — then don’t list North County as an area you serve. We were told we’d get our estimate the following day, and it’s been several days at this point. Strike 2. Although they are BBB Accredited, 2 of their three complaints are from the last year and both were from «products/​service.» Strike 3.
And to think — we didn’t even tell them we had a coupon out of fear of less-​than-​stellar service. Run for the hills!

Window Solutions was competitive in price and when we researched the Simonton Windows, they had a good reputation for quality. We decided to go with the vinyl replacement windows.
The windows and a huge patio slider door were installed in record time and the guys were courteous and cleaned everything up after the install. A few weeks later when I opened the windows, I noticed a few screens had small tears in them. I contacted Window Solutions who contacted the manufacturer and they sent replacement screens to my house free of charge. How awesome is that?
I also had Window Solutions install a glass shower enclosure and they did a great job with that project as well. Courteous installation, clean up was great and I highly recommend them.
I’m very happy with this company and I’m pretty picky on who I have work on my house! I’m very pleased with the windows and glass shower doors.

I recently had 3 windows installed in three of our properties. Lisa was terrific to work with — she arranged the measuring and install directly with our tenants and it was effortless to have it done. All of our tenants said that the installers were great, the work was done quickly and the windows look fantastic!
I shopped this project around to three other companies in SD and SD Window Solutions was a bit lower than the other and the SERVICE was exceptionally higher than the others.

My husband and I used Window Solutions to install three new vinyl windows in a rental condo that we own in Santee. They did a great job. The windows are nice looking and the crew left my condo neat and clean. We have three more windows to replace and we’ll definitely use these guys again.
Also, customer service was great. We paid over the phone and did all the paperwork through emails. I recommend anyone in SD to give these guys a try.
